I got a call at 12 pm stating my rental was over due a hour and I would be charged another day of rental. I've always rented a U haul for 24 hours , not sure why it was different this time. I am highly disappointed I was charged an entire day for going over my time, even I thought the rental was supposed to be returned at 5 pm 🙄😒

leslie M.After some initial problems the employees went above and beyond to get me a rental truck. UHAUL needs to be more clear on license requirements re: Canadian/International. It is odd that a Canadian drivers license is not recognized as "International" by UHUAL. I have rented vehicles all over the world and never run into a problem. Thanks to the employees at this location for sorting out the problems and getting my U.S. born wife a rental.
James U.I was charged $15 for fuel replacement when I only drove, round trip, 4 miles. The move I was scheduled to do had cancelled, so I ended up not using the U-Haul. The manager that checked me in said I would have to still be charged for an in town trip, and I was fine with that. Now, after receiving my receipt I noticed the fuel charge and began immediately asking how could the fuel hand move as much as they recorded if the truck was only driven 4 miles. The young man checking me out was even puzzled, and went to inquire of the manager, who recorded fuel and mileage, how this was possible. She would not budge, nor talk to me to explain her fuel reading. Maybe she was having a bad day that morning, but I wouldn't recommend that type of service to anyone.

Johnson C.The service representative (Hollie at Meyerland) WAS RUDE as can be. She chastised and belittled me for my return time which was an hour over the time for the 24 hour cycle for the rental. It almost seemed like she enjoyed the punishment of the $50 dollar penalty. Yall are a huge company and I'm sure no one will read this or care, but I think being an hour late on a 24 hour rental return resulting in a $50 dollar fine is EXCESSIVE. I also don't feel it is professional to “rub in†the penalty. I had a family emergency that hindered me getting it back on time and when she called and told me, “obviously I YOU ARE WAY OVER the grade period of 15 min…and†I Cannot help you†I said, “well fine….you've lost my business.†I'm sure you could care less. Not even sure why I bothered with this.

I just did your job by inspecting your equipment and possibly saved someone from an accident and ask you day is, "that will be$5 more for the safe one! Also, this location indicated that because they operate in a high crime area, they're required to obtain 2 phone numbers to call before renting. Let's think about this logically, if I'm really a criminal, wouldn't I just give you the number of 2 more criminals to call? Treat people respectfully! You knew your location was high crime BEFORE you decided to open. So like Hertz and just call the cops on the bad actors! This place sucks!

I went to the location to correct the problem. The Assistant Manager, Ms. Narmin Ortega was extremely helpful in getting this problem resolved. She was very courteous and explained every step of the process in rectifying the problem. She made sure that the "Auto Pay" was instituted and this problem would not occur again. She is to be commended for her professionalism and knowledge of the U-Haul administrative process.

We arrived to unload a Uhaul we rented 1 way from Missouri 45 min before closing and the manager greeted us outside, helped us use our code to gain access and showed us to our unit. The unit was smaller then I expected and I went into office and inquired about a larger unit. Charles was very through and accommodating and found us the perfect size within our budget. He also suggested I call the 1800 number and see about dropping the uhaul at his location to make it easier for us seeing as I would have had to drive across town to drop it off. Once I spoke to a customer care agent it was no issue moving my drop location to the Bissonet store. I was So Happy and Impressed with the customer service Charles gave us and the attentiveness given so close to him getting off work. Thank you so much!

They never did get the alarm glitch straightened out and after about a dozen tries I just gave up and learned that after what seemed like eternity, the alarm stopped. Surely the neighbors got tired of hearing all the noise and the police never did come so I would say the alarm really does not work except as an irritant. I suppose it is something that can be advertised to some advantage and probably a standard for U-Haul.
