Self pick up through the APP was a nightmare, put us 45 minutes behind for the day. Drop off with employee help went fantastic.

Timothy SI came to rent a 4x7 trailer on Friday! While all is good , I wouldn’t recommend any of my friends to go through what I went with that guy I found , I’ll try to check his name . I do not wish to find him again next time I come to U-Haul, he basically made me feel like I did wrong to come to U-Haul looking for service even though it was as not free ,as a regular client , he treated me roughly, he questioned me why I needed the trailer until following day yet it was already around 6pm when I was renting it, he had dark glasses on while talking to me , all the questions I asked him he wouldn’t answer them but question my question, it was an horrible experience!! He kept swearing 🤬 while doing my rental contract, at some point he : this’s getting on my nerves 😬! He went on gave a different trailer than the one I picked and said they were all same …he came from the building to the trailer on bike and confused me with directions, he asked me with strong tone : sir where is your cords ?? I know I have found som many nice customers care oriented people , including the one lady and the young I found yesterday while returning the trailer , really I mean what I am saying and I can even come to point on him , he so unfriendly to me as if it was his dad business and I was just coming to beg for a free service, yet I was paying for it !!!
Jean-Claude NWhy did you charge me environmental fee? I rented a van to move furniture not equipment to extract gas or petroleum from underneath PA ground. The tax is 6% in PA . Why did you charge me a tax of $6.70 for a balance of $83.68??? The whole balance is $92.38 for 2 hours rent from 19h07 to 21h00.
Youssef FVery smooth transaction and the agents I worked with were extremely helpful. The only thing I would say is that $240 seemed pretty pricy for a 24 hour rental of a simple cargo van.

Chad ADropped my trailer off in the morning of April 3rd @ about 8:00 AM - it was cold and rainy, and it was busy - many people in the office. Yet the lady who helped me move the trailer to a place she wanted and unhook was cheerful and friendly - I wish I knew her name as she deserves a raise!
Jerod GI rented a 10' box truck and hand dolly. Plans fell through so I never even opened the back door, and did nothing but drive the truck to and from the plan location. Rep calls after I drop off truck and says the dolly is missing. I told him I had no idea if there was even a dolly in there because I never opened the door. So far I haven't been charged for the dolly. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Debra BBack door of the truck leaked while in transit on the highway in the matter of a few hours. It was misting rain. Damaged $4,250+ worth of furniture by saturating a stearns & foster mattress, box spring & a high end sideboard. The sideboard was destroyed with the water damage & the mattress/box spring took days to dry & are covered in the rust colored stains that ran down the sides of the 26 ft truck’s door. The door was stained matching this & we took videos/pics on the scene showing it all. Beyond a doubt. Insurance was a joke & covered nothing whatsoever when provided all the things they required. Never have I experienced such a loss in a move. Uhaul washes their hands (pun intended) of all responsibility. Truck was negligently leaking water when it absolutely should not have had this issue. Even in heavy rain, which this was not. Will never recommend nor trust them to do business again. Catastrophic loss incurred by us & it is disgusting.

wendy dIn the past trailers were clean, however the trailer that was assigned as my rental was covered with some type of oil on the trailer floor. The tiedown straps were greasey.
William MMy total was 50 sum odd dollars but 75 was taken. I was told 18 dollars and some change was being out back on my card but they took the whole 75 so I’m not understanding why

Bradley SDent on passenger side of truck. It was not disclosed to me before I got to use the truck. I took pictures of side of the truck as proof of damage to truck. Day I rented the truck it was raining. Having to stand in the rain to take pictures of damage was very irritating. If U-HAUL was honest about previous damage, I would not have to be forced to get my phone wet and myself wet to take pictures of damage!

ROBERT ZWe rented a van and picked it up while it was dark. We had it for less than an hour and only a ok it 3.9 miles straight to a driveway and back; when we returned it they tried to say we damaged the bumper because there was an undocumented dent. We didn’t see the dent because the location of the van was parked nowhere near lights, but when you return the vehicle it is parked under an awning with multiple floodlights. Now we are being charged for damage we didn’t have anything to do with.

Bruce GVan was dirty outside like an attempt to clean was made but not thorough. I guessed at mileage not knowing exactly how many trips and actually made four and not the three I estimated. Customers should nit be penalized for being under their guesstimate. Seems like an opportunity to gouge. Charge x amount per mile and leave it at that.

Since it was dark (6PM) when I picked-up the Truck, I was concerned about the "damage marks" on the outside of the truck, so I took a couple pictures & showed the pictures to Maria. She said "Do no be concerned, you have pictures that show the "damage before you left the parking lot." I felt relieved and satisfied. I would consider renting from Uhaul again the next rime I am in need of a Box Truck OR trailer, etc. The PRICE was GREAT. My experience with the people I was in contact with was GREAT!! THANKS!!! She didn’t care, and counseled me on the correct procedure to check out. I’ll rent a garage from methany up the road before I come back to U-Haul in mechanicsburg. Not filthy, but certainly not clean. Passed an old mattress and entertainment center that was outside C building for nearly a week. No security cameras.

BETHANY S | Overall ExperienceUpon arriving my storage unit is supposed to be a drive up outside. It turned out to be one of the units that looks like it was delivered on a flatbed preassembled. First thing was that it is on a raised platform which prevents me from just rolling anything in ( garage like ) had to go back home to get a ramp. 2nd thing was it looked smaller than 10 x10 ,measured and its not quite 10 x9 also there is a second rollup door on the back with a lock on it not sure who has the key for that. It was clean . Checked and they did not have any other units available.

He may have been off the clock but I feel that it was a very simple question with a simple answer that could've been answered without an eyeroll or sarcasm. I feel that even off the clock he represents U-Haul (especially while walking out of the office IN UNIFORM) and puts off a bad vibe when interacting with customers this way. Overall I am still quite satisfied with the rest of the staff's performance and my interactions with them. And, as previously mentioned, Maria was very friendly and a joy to talk to.

They were literally running from customer to customer who needed service and assistance, and did so professionally and courteously. Not only was I returning a 10-foot truck and a obstinate tow dolly (the straps were a bit stubborn), we also need a storage unit assigned in the midst of the chaos. They took care of everything beautifully. I will highly recommend this location to anyone.

Incredible and knowledgeable staff in Mechanicsburg - I would highly recommend them as a group in Mechanicsburg, but would and will think very long and hard about using Uhaul in general, in other words, I'm going to shop around, even if it costs me a little more to avoid the Corporate Uhaul experience...very little confidence that they can make our.move convenient...
