Nothing to do with the location but rather the call centre. Failed to ask if my Ontario license was enough to drive a 26 footer. The Quebec location did not allow and required a class 3. Ontario does not have a class numbered scheme but rather a letter license scheme. Clerk at location never tried to consider the Ontario scheme and only considered Quebec scheme. I ended up doing multiple trips. If I would have known ahead of time, I could have made cheaper alternate plans. Very disappointed.

I had problems with the website adding a second and third driver. It was a huge pain to be honest, had to speak to customer service many times and no help. The trailer we got leaked water onto our equipment. Apparently it’s an issue with all the 5 by 8 trailers.. but still, not Impressed. Would appreciate some money back on my order.

despite the facility being fairly clean and maintained, there is a mice problem and we recommend that if a unit is rented out longer than a few months, it should be mandatory that the mouse traps be changed at least once every 3 months, that may help reduce the mouse problems the facility has. an email/text or letter by mail could be sent to the renter letting them know their locker needs a new trap and they need to be present. personally i would prefer to have to show up at the locker once a quarter to do this than to lose my belongings because mice got inside and peed/pooped on my things.

I rent from uhaul 3 times weekly and today they over charge me for gas they told me it's an American company so they have to charge me American rates according to their system.. I guess I will just have to take my business elsewhere

Staff was not very 'motivated' and had difficulty explaining. I also paid for 150 kms but did only 100kms...they told me it is the same price regardless...however that is not what my contract says. They were not necessarily rude...but not pleasant. The area itself is ok, and convenient though. Too bad i was over-charged...leaves a 'less than desireable feeling' on what i was hoping would be a good experience to base a long lasting relationship.

Employees should be able to confirm truck drop-off location during pick-up. This process of having to call a number when you've already paid for the truck and you're already on the road is stressful and makes no sense.

Rented a trailer, the only one left had a tire issue, had to negotiate another one at the same price, the trailer should have been inspected prior to the pickup, was refused the 50$ credit for my rental not being available… very frustrated

Staff was so rude. Her name is Sophia , she doesn’t know how to do the job and listen to customers. Half the time she spent on her personal phone calls making the customers wait. I i had to ask question, she doesn’t know anything, then i asked the garage guys they were helping me, out of no where Sophia came in , leaving the customer she was attending and started shouting at me that i am not allowed in garage. Same incdent happened twice when the garage staff asked to move the car from the garage. I would never come to this uhaul ever. I prefer and recommend going to other places, just not here. She should know how to talk to customers and how to respect them. Thanks

The transmission of the truck was not working well. The gaz level was at 1/8 (not 1/4) . (it's say's on the dash 43 miles to empty). The floor has a soft spot dangerous if you step on it. Only good thing is the service. Staff is really nice and work fast. However, I will probably go with Discount next time.

I completed the online pre check-in however your system did not recognize any of the details i entered at while i was at the counter and your u-haul associate had to re-enter all the details once again. The u-haul application (android version) does not work whatsoever. Your staff at the location was pleasant and helpful and I appreciated their assistance during my rental and drop-off of the utility trailer.

When I returned the vehicle after hours, it seemed like all the signs outside with return instructions are only in french. I would suggest adding exterior english instructions as well, following local language laws of course.

Customer service that is transparent. I was told that I had 180kms and this changed on the contract. I would have never rented if I knew it would be less. I was charged 73$ more that I asked to be refunded because of this false statement when I made the booking and nothing has been done. I’ll never use uhaul again and write a bad review based on this situation. Bad customer service and follow up. First time bad experience with uhaul from renting multiple times and my last!

There was a snow fall Friday morning, when I picked up the truck Saturday morning the vehicle was not cleared of the snow. There was no snow brush inside the vehicle. I had to use the brush from my car. As well the roof had about 6in of snow on the roof, it was very dangerous to drive on the highway.

1) I called ahead to reserve the trailer I needed to rent, but when I arrived around 5pm on a Monday night, no one was in office, sales area, or in the yard... I wandered around for 15 minutes calling out, and no one was anywhere... finally someone arrived and then there were at least 5 Uhaul employees walking around. In my opinion, there should always be someone in the customer sales/showroom area... otherwise people could easily steal items and no one would even see them. 2) I am from Toronto and only 1 Uhaul person spoke English... I had to struggle speaking French to communicate 3) They rented me an open trailer but the chains didn't fit my trailer hitch. They had no idea of what to do, or how to use an adapter to make it fit... I would have been left stranded, if I hadn't changed to a covered trailer. 4) I have been a very loyal user of Uhaul rentals for the past 10yrs and spent at least $5,000 on rental trucks and trailers... in the past 6 months I have had serious problems with Uhual and have not been impressed. In future I will have to consider finding an alternate rental company .

Everytime I rent from this location the service is atrocious. This time, the wiring on the trailer I reserved was defective, so I had to make do with a different, unsuitable one. The staff didn't apologize for the inconvenience caused. When I returned the trailer I uncoupled it in the clearly marked drop off zone, only to have 2 employees then tell me that I had to recouple it and move it to another area. Neither of the employees assisted in uncoupling or recoupling the trailer. Once I moved it, the employee who uncoupled the trailer was unable to do so and became hostile when I didn't understand that he wanted me to jump on my car's bumper in order to dislodge the ball. I then had to explain to him that this wouldn't work and backed up my a car a bit to dislodge the ball. He was smoking the whole time he was trying to uncouple the trailer. In general, every staff member I have encountered at this location is unfriendly, incompetent and slow. I have made numerous complaints to this effect, to no avail. Unfortunately, there are no alternatives to Uhaul in my area, but if there were I would never give a dime to Usuck.

I have been a client with this storage facility since 2017. I have noticed in the past year that the mouse/ rat problem has gotten much worse. a normal commercial/industrial building of this type always has rodents but recently they have gotten out of control. I found a dead mouse in my locker and huge amount of droppings. I know that the other clients around my locker are storing items that attract them and smell very bad. U haul should put a clause into the lease permitting. Access to any locker that is suspect of containing items that would attract rodents. I brought it to the attention several times to an employee that there was a very bad smell. They said that they could not do anything about it because they can’t open the locker. The solution was to install a air freshener to mask the order of rotting food.

Adding a charge for fuel rather than having me return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel feels like a scam. When I asked if I was getting the money I was charged for fuel back the rep did not know what I was talking about.

The first two trucks provided to me had non-functional windshield washers, so I could not take them. The third was provided to me with a pad lock on the back and somebody else's possessions inside. Personnel from the location did come to retrieve the belongings that were left in the truck. I never received the contract for the third vehicle. The oil was low and the oil cap was missing (we put on a new cap and added oil, at our expense, partway through the trip), but the truck was very stinky from burning oil from the time I received it until I noticed and rectified the problem. I've rated this as only below average rather than poor because I hear it's pretty typical of u-haul trucks to be severely lacking on maintenance.

Extremely bad experience, will never go back. I will source another supplier. The Black guy was extremely rude and offensive. He was offended when I asked him why he was taking a picture of my drivers license with his personal cell phone. Also I do not appreciate any one taking a picture of my legal documents for any reason. He immediately refused to rent me the trailer, I had previously reserved. I ended up going somewhere else. He even interfered when the other guy tried to serve me. The other guy came out when we were leaving to apologizes. Some one from customer services could call me. Thank you.

Hi there , I reserved storage by call and they gave me better dear and first 4 weeks free bcz i rented u haul as well but when I appeared at the location they didnt gove that price they charged me 384 thats not good thing by call they gave me different code i had reservation number contract number aswell but they said they couldn’t find my reservation that i did day before by call even when i opened vehicle it was smell so bad of smoking someone did smoking inside

You can improve it by reimbursing the money to customer if he/she fill the extra fuel by mistake in fuel tank. As i got a cargo van with 75% full tank with fuel and i used only 25% (half quarter) of fuel to complete my task/moving. But before returning i filled it up by 75% fuel. That means i put 25% extra fuel by mistake, as i had no idea about how much i should put. And when i went to return it and asked for the reimbursement of extra fuel put in the tank. The office person said that u haul don’t give the money back for extra fuel we put. And i lost $20. Called customer service and they said the same thing. You guys are Making scam with the customer. I know if i got the van with full tank, then i could count the fuel level and return it with full tank. Anyhow, good strategy/business to make money from customers.

There's never anybody there working, the employees do the least amount possible even lying to your face in order to not work. Constantly complaining about other employees /locations/the computer system/etc verbally and with swearing in front of customers. Trailer bed was ridden with garbage, was obviously never cleaned. Terribly run location, hate going there

Le temps d'attente etait long. Réservation était a 9h. J'ai quitté l'entrepôt a 9:45. Je n'ai pas eu le service de camion qu'on m'avait confirmé. Je voulais un aller simple mais le plus proche était a st-hubert j'ai donc du faire aller retour, donc plus de kilométrage et frais.

The clerk did not offer us a bigger millage rate. We ended up to pay 141,41$ more because the km include was only 38 km... So we ended paying more than 400$ for 1 one day of renting. This is way over the regular price we should have paid. We are very deceived and won't rent ever again at Uhaul unless we get a rebate of our bill

I counted 14 people in the line-up waiting for service at 10am on Saturday December 2. There were two people at the front. They didn't know how to manage their time or their customers. A woman came in after we were all waiting 30 minutes and she went right to the front of the line.... she waited until one of the two counters was free and she went and sat down. The guy at the counter paid no attention and served her.... people were furious ion the line.... but the guy who was next didn't say anything. It took one hour from the time I arrived at this location to get my vehicle. Not to mention that the 15ft UHAUL that I had reserved was not available.... I had to take a 26ft and I don't have a class 3 licence.... luckily my friend with me did.... Very disorganized, and very very very poor customer service!

Saturday morning, 1-Dec-2023 @ 9h30; 10 people in line and it took 50 minutes to wait for the line to push through for customers to be served before receiving my trailer. You should consider adding either a self check in or express check in for reservations (especially trailers). the first trailer picked was defective so i was offered another one without delay. RETURN - just as slow due to over 10 trucks returned around 17h00. I was told whlie waiting in line that i didn't have to wait for a service manager to sign me out as they would do it later - again, had i known i would have left with the trailer parked in its place sooner. Thank you.

Need to find a way (for UHaul in general, not location related) to speed things up, for returning customers, and or for those using the App. Waiting in line 1h for a 20$ trailer is not normal. App also froze while returning the trailer.

Expensive, rodent feces, and no possibility to get the days left reimbursed. I was horrified to find that mice or rats were living/pooping/ruined my 300$ papasan chair cushion. When I used the truck service I also asked to get the month free as stated on most of your walls and they said they didnt know how to do it. Overall very disappointed. The mouse coming out of my lazyboy chair while moving-out was the last gross drop that made me leave this bad review.

I really enjoyed the online check in and that the lock was included and already in the unit. It was a bit confusing at first to enter the facility because I had to enter the access code into 2 keypads, but it was not clear which keypad needed to be entered first. Finally, when I moved out I noticed that there were a lot of mouse droppings in my unit. I had no food stored in my unit. A lot of the droppings seemed to be coming from the mouse trap in the corner. It is for this reason that I will not be using this facility again and will not be recommending it to others.

Only suggestion is instructions were not clear. To open the little door you need to enter the code in the big door first and then the little one. Entrance instructions were not clear. More pictures and more guide were needed.

I found myself locked out of the building, with my friend's car still inside , my fault. I was able to contact the manager, Sophia, after hours on a Friday night and she fixed the problem for me. I must say, I was impressed and overjoyed that I was able to reach her through the Uhaul contact number. She was extremely pleasant and very understanding of my situation (I had returned to the storage building after hours and had not paid for 24hr access). The problem was quickly resolved and I was able continue my moving.

We should have gotten a month free because we also rented a truck! We saw signage for this in a few places, but the agent refused. There was a long lineup for the desk and the staff seemed extremely laid back. We were given literally the furthest possible unit from the entrance, despite requesting something closer and there being at least 20 closer lockers with green tags on them.

Having inquired before my billing due date (July 2) about the fact that I was unable to move out the the 2nd due to the fact that my movers were not available that day, I was very grateful that the staff provided me with two days grace so I was able to move July 4th without being charged. Staff was definitely friendly but the wait left something to be desired as I was greeted supposed to have started but had to help a coworker with something then told me I would have to wait as it was now time to clock out for him. This left me waiting for a good solid 10 or more minutes as the customer being helped was having issues with car compatibility. There were 2 other customers behind me who also looked impatient. The facility is very clean and easy to move the dollies in unlike previous places I've gone to who had floors of carpets this often made it harder using the dollies but here the floors are well taken care of and it slides well for an easy move. I give this 4 stars because although it was a wait the staff was friendly and the move to the storage went really well and was done in a matter of minutes once we had the dollies loaded and ready to go. I also love that they give you a map to locate your u it easier as sometimes i can forget directions.

When I moved out, I found my unit was COVERED in mouse/rat feces. It was disgusting. But worse is that I have yet to receive a response from the manager regarding the fact that I was charged an additional month of rent days AFTER moving out and cancelling my contract. Horrible service, I absolutely would not recommend this location to anyone.

Check-in process was very easy and quick. Location was clean and very glad that the unload area was indoor with a place to back up a trailer load ramp (elevated platform). I was mistakenly charged for the 1st month even though I was supposed to have the 1st month free based on trailer rental. They resolved this and credited me the 2nd month within 1 business day and minimal hassle from me. Very happy so far with this experience.

5x5 unit is actually 56 inches instead of the 60 inches advertised. my 57 inch tool box was supposed to fit but to my surprise uhaul scams its customers on the size of the rental units. so i had to spend a lot more money on a 5x10 unit that i dont need for my tool box to fit.

Put a tarp over your stuff! In the 4 months we had ours in storage, the rats managed to leave considerable amounts of dung on it! Despite there being traps in the unit and poison about. Other than that the whole facility was in good shape and was clearly looked after well!

Fantastic experience and we’ll cleaned facility. Did notice a lot of rat or mouse poop on the floor of my unit once the storage was removed (even if there was a trap in the unit). With all my storage I never knew this was on the floor of my unit until I moved out. I simply suggest to others to ensure to wrap all materials (fabrics and leathers) in plastic and to put belongings in plastic bins with well sealed lids instead of using paper boxes, to avoid any moths or rodent to access their belongings.

Everything was great except for one thing - Mice! When we moved our stuff out after two years it was full of mouse droppings. Most of our stuff was boxed but as the upholstered furniture and the mattresses had not been wrapped in plastic it was quite gross to see the mouse droppings (and there would also be accompanying urine) everywhere. The building is immaculate when you come in but mice can and do get into the individual units.

I finished my reservation online and had problem with my access code. So i had to visit office to sort it out. It was a nightmare for me. I asked for help regarding my access code for building. A lady had very rude tone and bad attitude from start and didnt listen anything i said. I tried to show her my reservation number, gave her locker number and tried show email confirming my locker with payment. She didn’t listen to a single detail i tried to give her to pull my account on her computer. She simply ignored anything i was saying. Instead she tried to book me second locker at more price, without informing me. Finally when she gave me new locker, i asked how much it costs, she told me $80. I asked her why is she booking me second locker, i told her i will not take and to cancel it. She gave me sign that she did me a favour, then a gentleman next to her came in, she explained him, her so much favour and steps she took to book a rental. I showed him my email confirmation, and that guy pulled my account and locker from her computer right away. If that guy wouldnt had shown up i would have spent another 30 min and still not get this solved. I guess this what happen when service desk helper think customers are idiots and they dont know anything. I hope i never have to see her for help. As i dont know her name, she weighs around 170 pounds or more, long black nail around 5 cm, non smiling face. Her shift timing 1am to noon, date 24 January 2022. Another piece of advise to her, dont take your personal calls on job hiding small Bluetooths in ear and covering with caps, please wear facemask because its safe.

I get that people have their own lives and issues like everyone else but to be grunted stand them just somewhat rudely pointed to a counter where the young coloured woman was horrible and I must say clueless about what to do. Nous avons réservé un espace à un endroit et lorsque nous sommes arrivés, ils ont dit qu’il n’y avait rien de disponible et nous ont envoyé à un autre endroit. Ils ont dit qu’aucune réservation n’est garantie. Alors pourquoi prendre le numéro de carte de crédit? Pourquoi ne pas signifier au client (à l’avance) qu’il a perdu sa place afin qu’il puisse trouver une autre solution d’entreposage? Arrivés au 2 e endroit, cela a prit un temps fou à se faire servir et avoir un entrepôt qui était complètement sale à notre arrivée (jus, roches, etc.). Lorsque je les ai appelé, ils m’ont dit que les gens qui font le ménage ne travaillent pas la fin de semaine. La dame m’a dit qu’elle peut me donner un balais. J’ai dû insister pour qu’elle envoie quelqu’un. Il a rapidement passé le balais et la mope. Il est à noter que j’avais 3 déménageurs d’engagés à 150$/h qui ont dû attendre en tout et pour tout entre une heure à une heure et demie en raison des délais occasionnés par U-haul. Cela est extrêmement mal organisé et malpropre (la toilette était insalubre et nous sommes en pleine éclosion de Covid). Je suis extrêmement déçue de mon expérience

J'ai eu du mal à trouver le lieu et à comprendre que faire. Heureusement d'autres clients étaient là pour aider. Le site a planté plusieurs fois avant que je puisse finalement réserver. On est vraiment très près d'une super expérience. Tout est en place, il faudrait juste que quelqu'un pense bien à comment rendre la navigation vers et dans le site plus simple. Simplement des gros panneaux comme "entrez votre PIN ici à l'arrivée" suffirait.

Bonjour, Vous avez du culot de me demander ça. Voici ce qui s'est produit et je veux que ce soit remonté à votre manager. En deux mots : terriblement décevante. Vous avez des actions à prendre. LA SITUATION * J'ai appelé à 17h pour aviser de mon retard et voir si je pouvais avoir la clé pour l'espace d'entreposage gratuit que j'avais loué, on m'informe que ce sera fermé, de faire la réservation en ligne et de payer. Jean-Marc, à qui j'ai parlé, m'assure que ma réservation me sera remboursée le lendemain. * J'arrive sur les lieux, les deux employés toujours présent à l'extérieur répondent uniquement à mes questions par "c'est fermé, Jean-Marc fait dire que c'est fermé". * J'insiste pour avoir une réponse plus détaillée au moins minimale sur comment accéder à l'entrepôt ou d'aller chercher Jean-Marc puisque je lui ai déjà parlé : l'employé va dans le commerce et ne sort plus. * J'entre dans le commerce par la porte de garage ouverte et débarrée, le troisième employé qui était toujours présent (Jean-Marc) m'accueille par "C'est fermé, you're trespassing" Je lui explique que j'ai bien compris et je veux juste savoir où entré pour l'entreposage, il insiste et répète sans répondre "you're trespassing on est fermé" J'ai beau voir dépensé 400$ chez U-Haul aujourd'hui, le manager, Jean-Marc a eu le culot d'ajouter "si on était pas là t'aurais dû t'arrranger. Fait comme si on était pas là" plutôt que de prendre le 30 secondes pour m'expliquer la marche à suivre et me donner une expérience wow. * J'accède finalement à l'entrepôt par le côté, j'essaie de réserver en ligne pendant 30 minutes. Je fini par réussir à réserver un entrepôt en ligne non sans problèmes. * L'entrepôt que j'ai pu louer s'avère plus petit que celui que j'avais réservé et chaque fois qu'on ouvre la porte, l'alarme sonne. J'ai encore de l'acouphène dû à l'alarme. Le Call-Center à qui j'ai parlé ne pouvait pas m'aider par rapport à l'alarme. * L'application ne m'as jamais permis de faire le drop off du camion en self-service. J'ai pourtant essayé au moins 3 fois impossible. * Je n'ai pas eu le remboursement du dépôt que vous m'avez chargé puisque je payais par débit le camion. DE CES FAITS 1) Je veux le remboursement intégral du dépôt qui m'a été chargé sur ma débit à Québec pour le camion. 2) Le remboursement intégral de mon espace de location loué à défaut d'avoir accès à celui gratuitement offert avec le camion. 3) Ne pas être chargé pour le drop off de la clé sans l'application, ça ne marchait pas. 4) La location d'un camion U-Haul à vos frais pour me permettre de déplacer les meubles que j'ai dû ramener à mon point de départ dans le CX-5 de mon helper. (il ne sera plus disponible et la dimension de l'espace de stockage choisi aurait permis normalement de les accueillir sans problèmes.) 5) Des excuses formelles pour le dérangement avec votre boss en CC de ce courriel. Hello, I arrived at 08:50 on Sunday 20 June 2021 to pick up my Cargo Van and to rent a storage unit, my appointment was at 09:00. There was a huge line up outside and by the time I received my cargo van and storage unit it was 10:45. I spent over 1 1/2 hours at Uhaul. The employees were understaffed but maintained a positive attitude. There seemed to be only three employees working that day. When I left, there was still a hug line inside and outside. Thank you,

I first reserve my sotrage a month an haft ago. I called to confirm that I ca ntake possession to be told that there was no reservation to my name. I rushed to the U-Haul because there were only a few lockers left. When I got there, the employee handed me a keycard to remoove the alarm on my storage. Drive to the storage and the key does not work... all my stuff were already taken out of the car... nobody on site to help... so i decided to open with the alarm on. After I drive back to the front desk and they were not able to give me a working card... I have to come back another time.... This was not the employes fault but so far my experience was not good.

Hello Jean Marc. First thank you for this experience with your storage . As you can see for over 6 months or more my experience with your lachine storage and trucks was excellent. I had to close my company and to move and also sold my house ,so there was lots of moving.You personally (I hope you remember me) me helped me and your staff as well. The only thing I think you should try to fix is the answering to the phone. I know most of the work today is done on line,however sometimes an answer is needed. So thank you again and best of luck. Il y avait 2 employes...celui qui me servait ne voulait pas me rembourser en argent comptant malgré que jai payé cash. Il voulait me rembourser debit et il ny avait pas dautre solution. Lautre employé à aussitot prit la parole ayant entendu la conversation et a dit...si elle veut cash tu lui paie cash le remboursement. Merci a se jeune homme. Lautre employe manquait un peu dexperience ou de savoir... il mavait lair désemparé ou détaché, mais je sais que vous changez vos code de caissr tout les jours par email. Hiiii merci. Cetait mardi soir vers 18h00 environ. Pour le reste votre entreprise est primordiale dans ma vie et jen retire beaucoup de benefice mentale dentreposer mes choses a bon prix. I paid late,(2 weeks) definitely my fault, however the system that you have in place is extreme and agressive, borderline harassment. 3 emails, 3 letters to my house and 2 letters to my emergency contact ( which I felt to be a violation of privacy) My storage locker blocked. I went to pay it during my break at work, and when I went back about a week later to get something the lock was still on. I had to go back to the office and ask them to remove it. They had to check the file to ensue I wasn’t lying, then I waited 15 minutes for them to come. The guy that came was nice, but was not wearing a face mask. I did not feel like a valued customer.

J’ai aviser que je viendrais chercher ma remorque dans ce cas le 29 ou 30 janvier. ((( hors la personne n à respecter ce qu elle m a dit, la personne a huaul Lachine a bien dit qu elle transmetterrait le message pour et que ma remorque serait prête le vendredi ou samedi. Nous somme aujourd’hui dimanche le 31 et ma remorque est toujours prit dans la neige et devant une autre remorque!)))

The actual move in experience was terrible. We had booked and paid in advance and arrived with our movers and they had to wait about 1 full hour while the reception re entered everything into the system, which was so slow, and cost us over $150 in moving costs due to the length of time it took to receive the keys. We were not pleased, but the unit itself and facility are excellent.

Pour d’autres personnes aussi ce n’est pas clair, car l’alarme s’est déclenchée plusieurs fois sur place, ce qui est quand même pas mal désagréable!

The person who helped me get the storage unit account setup was quick and efficient and very friendly. I got a very good impression of U-Haul as a company because of this individual's good attitude. This is very refreshing compared to the last storage facility I used (not U-haul) where the staff seemed like they did not care at all and would prefer if people would just leave them alone. So I hope the guy that served me is appreciated and well paid!

We had our belongings in this storage for almost 2 years. All went well until our departure from the unit. When clearing our belongings, unfortunately we discovered some items that were eaten/ruined by mice. Our couch had holes in it from mice and was covered in droppings (it was covered by plastic but they chewed through that as well). The U-Haul staff reassured us right away that we would get reimbursed for this. However, to this day, we have received no response or follow-up on our claim for reimbursement. We will likely have to continue pressing the issue in order to get any resolution, which is very disappointing. We paid over $5K in our time of having our belongings in storage - the least they could do is make sure we receive appropriate compensation for ruining important furniture.

Hi , overall was okay. I tried to change the per authorization date. When I called , the agent said to go ask the store. I drive to the store they say we cannot it’s impossible. With tax it was suppose to be 120$. Because of the faulty pre auth I paid 135$-150$ mostly. In 2020, I am so baffled that we are not able to change a date : /. But to me it was just a scam to charge more. And that’s why my rating is much lower. Hopefully this feedback will help you improve your services and maybe not benefit from people.

The representative who we dealt with was very rude, has no idea of what customer service really means. She souldnt be in contact with customers. Hello, My main concern with the lack of answers for phone calls from Lachine. They have NEVER picked up the phone, it always went back to central. PLUS, central does not give accurate information. And / or the information does not get relayed to Lachine. I had lost the keys to the storage lock, I called and called to speak to Lachine, once again, they didn't pick up. Central lady said that each location was equipped with the tools to break the lock - which turns out (as I had a team of 3 movers on the clock, just waiting) they did not, and mentioned it was against UHaul policy. I had to call for an emergency service, which cost me $275, for a locksmith to come and break the lock. I am extremely disappointed with UHaul in this regard.

The only reason i don't give a 5 stars is because the waiting time to get service is really, really aweful. I waited 45-50 mins in line just to get service even though i and a reservation. I understand doing contracts with people takes time but being understaff in a month like this, i mean it is moving festival now. All i wanted to do is get my moving done. The wait got me so angry inside that all the good deeds a friendly staff was not even important at that point.

I had rented a storage in Montreal Centre Ville at first, I had made the reservation on site. Then I made a change of date by callin U-Haul. When I went to rent the storage, they said the modification can't be made by phone (?????) and that there was no storage unit that I had reserved, when I had done it on site at first !!! The person didn't try to help me... I had to go to Lachine to find a storage unit. At Lachine, the woman that took my order was very bad at being polite and being professional. SHe didn't help me either and was very mean with my order placing... My experience with U-Haul is very bad. I hope not to use your storage units in the future.

Hi there, let me explain my one star review. I have had booked, for 1 April, a storage in an other facility (Cite 2000 Montreal) and no one called me to tell me to come and take possession of the storage unit. I left my credit card info, my phone number and my adress, as requested. With all these infos, I understood that someone From u-haul would call me as soon as they have an available unit. But it appears no one called. When I presented myself to the office, I faced a young man that did not care at all about my case and just repeated like a parrot : we do not have unit left sir, it works like this in u haul. Without even trying to understand my situation, not listening and not proposing any solution. He clearly did not care and is not suit for working in customer service. I have noted down his full name and send a report to the complaint section. I’ll let know everywhere how I was treated at the office.

The one big negative to our experience was the difficulty getting information on how to cancel our contract. I called customer service and was told I had to go to the warehouse. Drove 20 minutes to the warehouse and was told take a picture and come back when the locker is empty. Drove home another 20 minutes. Went back after the locker was empty (20 minute drive) to learn that the account had been closed by one of the employees. In all, 1 hour and 20 minutes of unnecessary driving. Clear, concise information about the process would have made this experience excellent.

Overcharged ~ $340 by mistake but it's ok sometimes errors do happen, but the effort needed to correct it is ridiculous. After ~10 long phone calls Uhual still hasn't provided any solution at all.

The wait times on the phones are extremely excessive. The staff are excellent but the minimal staff on site can not be outside, in the storage facility, face to face and the phone simultaneously.
