The U-Haul app wouldn’t load so I ended up having to go inside to get my truck which could have been an issue after hours. But everything went smoothly and the employee that helped me was great.

Specifically asked if the ramp was at least 5 feet wide prior to leaving the site. Was told it was by the employee. Got to our location and it was 4'9" and we couldn't actually load our cargo because the ramp wasn't wide enough. Never actually used to the Uhaul. Otherwise the trailer tows nicely and was really easy to drive with. Well built.

Unfortunately, the return experience was not good and overall we were charged quite a lot extra. We tried to return the uhaul truck before the store closed, and attempted to call beforehand to let the location know we were almost there, but no one answered. When we arrived right at close the door was locked, so I knocked, and eventually a woman with a nose piercing answered. I explained to her that my wife made a mistake while refilling the Uhaul Truck and accidentally gave it a full tank, but the girl said they do not give reimbursements for accidental gas refills. I explained we also had to drive an extra trip from Madison to Janesville, and if there is a possibility to get rid of the extra mileage charges due to the overfilling of the gas tank, she said no and it was obvious she just wanted to get out of there and go home. Can’t blame her, but in order to do a mobile truck return, we had to charge our card a large amount due to the extra mileage. Very frustrating experience that turned a $190 rental into a rental costing over $300, with no assistance to help engage this. It also didn’t help my experience that when I booked through the Uhaul website, I found out everything was more expensive than using the mobile app that I looked through later. Overall, I was not happy with our Uhaul rental and neither was my wife.

I received the confirmation text/email that my selected location was all set for mobile pickup AND IT WAS NOT. After time talking to a U-Haul representative she got our location switched to Janesville. This was very inconvenient and upsetting.

The location was great, The person who helped me was great! The van i rented was fine. I think the rates you guys charge for the 2 hours i used the van was insane and will probably never rent from uhaul again. I was charged $75.97. the only reason why i went ahead and rented it was because i was off all day and wasnt sure when id be able to do this . I can see if it was for the whole day. Just felt like i was gouged thats all.

I asked for a utility dolly, and was charged for one. When I got to my location, I realized that the dolly was never put in the trailer I rented. I called and was told I could get reimbursed for not having one, but when I dropped the trailer off, I was told I couldn’t be reimbursed. At this point, I still have no been.

It would be nice for my situation if there was less then a 6 hour rental or if you gave people a brake on the mileage charge when they brought the truck back in less the 6 hours. If I could get a truck for 2 to 4 hours and not have to pay mileage I would definitely use them more.

The process from start to finish was consistently changing. Our pick up and drop off locations changed, equipment availability and sizes changed. We paid more for less. It was a tumultuous experience. This wasn’t just from the Janesville location. This was anU-Haul experience that left us completely unable to provide a good rating.

I got the trailer and it had a tire that was very low. I noticed it the next morning and took the trailer back so they could fix the problem. I had concluded they would either replace the tire or repair the tire. They said I would have to call roadside service myself to have the tire repaired or replaced. That didn't make any sense to me. After all I am right there at the Uhaul rental place!!I thought they should have called roadside assistance. They did put air in the tire so i could go on my way.

To whom it may concern. We recently completed a local move. This would not have been possible without the outstanding customer service and support offered by our Janesville, WI UHaul location. UHaul has always provided (nationally) great functional equipment and a wide range of great products to help with a move, but national does not control local staffing. To say we were grateful and impressed for the Janesville staff would be a great understatement. Many thanks to them.

When I arrived at the storage facility they did not have a reservation for me. After a half an hour of back and forth it turns out they had one available to accommodate me. The storage unit was all the way in the back of the facility and they would not allow us to pull up to the garage door to unload. We had to bring everything down two long hallways. There were no lights above my storage unit and the lights in the hallway were not close enough to illuminate the unit. The contract stated that it was a split level unit, it was not. When I asked the manager about it he said that a small area of about 4 ft was considered the split level area. The size of the storage unit was also smaller than what was stated in the contract. I was given a smaller unit than what I had reserved and charged more per month than I was quoted. I contacted customer service in May and never received a follow up call. I also mentioned it to the manager upon check in and check out and nothing was done to reimburse me or rectify the situation. I definitely will not be using or recommending UHaul for my future moves or storage needs.

Paid my storage bill May 19th June 1st moved out they refused to refund half of my money back and refused to let me put my lock back on to continue using it and then they wanted me to pay another month even though I was paid up until June 19th, they told me they cut my lock off the unit if I put it back on first of all that lock is my property not theirs and I paid for that storage unit until the 19th unacceptable very rude and disrespectful manager

I have gotten at least 20 emails from U-Haul with no way to unsubscribe. I never left my storage unit and yet had to get it reassigned and now my email is being blown up every hour with an email stating to do the survey. It’s the only reason I’m doing the survey right now is to stop all these emails.

UHaul and the Self Service storage Employees were top Notch. They were polite, helpful, accommodating and patient. I had originally scheduled a drop off at another location and UHaul made it pain free to change the drop off to the place we stored our belongings. They didn't even blink an eye. That was a total game changer for us. I would recommend them everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Fantastic experience. They made a stressful, emotional time and incredibly smooth transition. THANK YOU!

Cody Johnson should be fired , not helpful , was rude and was not doing his job! Don’t know how he got his name on door but it should be taken off . Any questions please call me at 8593933438 , I did file complaint against him and hope he’s fired!!! Very unsatisfactory service.!!!! I didn’t not use any of uhaul units , I went to another company! Would not recommend uhaul storage to anyone after my experience. My money was supposedly refunded but have not seen it on my credit card. Would love to discuss this with someone other than Cody Johnson please call me!!!!

I have had 3 recent contacts with the uHaul store in Janesville, WI on Milwaukee St -- I had a trailer hitch placed on my truck, rented a 6x12 trailer to pick up in Colorado and return to this location, and took advantage of the free 30 days storage. We frequently use this location for business matters and have always had good service. The staff that I dealt with during these transactions were exceptional. I was under the gun to get the trailer hitch placed - it was ordered 7-10 days out and still not in when promised - the young man I dealt with called around and found one in Love's Park, a CSA drove down there to pick it up, and they stayed late to make sure the hitch was properly installed. When I was contacted to say the hitch wasn't in, the young man had already come up with solutions and made sure that I knew he was doing everything possible to make this happen. When I returned the trailer and rented the storage unit, the process was quick and painless and he even backed the trailer up for me. :-) Couldn't have been more happy with how things went and the team I worked with! Well done!

Every time took over an hour to do anything. I never had a storage that I had to pay extra tho have 24 hour access to my own belongings. Very unsatisfied and won't use Uhaul again.

Good, clean facility. You have to wait to talk to someone on the phone. Should have explained the double keypad usage for after hours access when I got the unit - wasted a trip the first time.
