Management was not helpful at all and actually left the scene before police arrived, leaving rest of staff to restore our units. I called corporate to complain and the complaint trickled down to Martin Alcala, the manager of my location. Martin then called me personally to confront me about my complaint which ended in a screaming match over the phone. I will never rent with y’all again. Not even trucks.

Then when I called the office to see if I could quickly check in, bc it was 15 minutes to closing, the man I spoke to on the phone made me feel as tho I was inconveniencing him. I asked how long does the process take to check in? He responded with, “I don’t know, it depends on what has to be done.” Then he hung up on me. I was called back by a woman who did suggest I try the site again. She told me I would be sent a link. I did receive a link and it worked. Whoever she was, gets a star. That man, no.
Aaron F | Online Move InNo issues with security or cleanliness. I would have liked the unit to be more well lit. I had to keep a flashlight with me. The hours are absolutely not convenient. You should offer 24 hour access period without having to request it. Especially with what I was paying. I live in a different city and work full time, so there end up being only a few days when I can really ever make it down to load/unload things. I don't get to pause the cost when I don't have access to storage, so you shouldn't be pausing my ability to access my things whenever I want. It's part of why I just finally cleaned them out and moved them closer. It was too hard to keep making the time to go down with my new job. Also I think you advertise the temperature controlled at between 75 and 85 or something like that? Whatever the advertisement was, you basically never get below the upper bound there, so even though my items didn't suffer or anything, when I have a lot of heavy lifting to do I basically roast to death. You should update that "air conditioning system" (quotes intentional). Also I really hate that not only is there a ledge on the way into the storage halls but that the door doesnt stay open. Do you know what a nighmare it is to try and get big heavy stuff inside while you're trying to manage a door AND navigate your bed or arm chair or something over a ledge with no dolly? I have to turn into the hulk. So yeah I really think you need to put an incline there or have a way to have it open for a minute or two. No one's gonna break in and steal things while I'm wrestling a couch through it, you know? Anyway aside from that. Your staff people are good. They're usually pretty nice and helped me replace my worn out swipe card once and stuff and checkout was fast and painless.

When I started asking around about long term storage, I got really good recommendations (from two of my friends) for my U-haul location. I ended up needing two units, one of which is the largest U-haul offers. It was perfect! Thank you to the past 17 + years of staff and management for your professionalism, courtesy and support during those dreadful months of the pandemic in 2020.

Steven R | Overall ExperienceI'm writing this review for my grandmother, but I helped manage the account or set it up. We are extremely disappointed in how this facility is run. When we opened the account and got storage space we gave them card info to autopsy for the storage. Easy, right? Wrong. Every 2 months like clockwork we were harassed by constant calls that we were behind on payments. The first time it was fine, maybe a hiccup. My almost 70 year old grandmother drives up, gives them the card info and tells them to use that card to autopsy for the storage. We get told it will be fine and we move on, no big deal. 2 days later, more calls. We are behind, they don't have payment information, again grandma drives another 20-25 minutes to get it sorted and we get told the same thing. This goes on repeatedly for over a year. We got fed up, this most recent time they refused to take payment asking for payment in full because "we" fell behind again. So we canceled our storage and moved everything out ourselves and now it's sitting in our house in a extra bedroom that could be used for something more. Overall extremely disappointed and would never use this facility again and don't recommend it to anyone that wants to autopay to safeguard their belongings here.

I was not given until the end of the month, which I paid for, and there was no reimbursement of fees. I was punished for someone else’s actions and that, in my opinion, was not right. But on a good note I was able to remove my things and have them stored somewhere that offered the same size unit for half the price and more availability to access my unit so thank you

The manager didn’t seem to care very much and actually left for the day while the police were there helping. The manager told me the security cameras were not good enough to see our units that were broken into. The price of rent went up soon after that also.

I never mentioned this to anyone inside and I'm sure they would have addressed it, but it was an unnecessary hassle.

So 30 miles at 79 cents a mile I would say that you it u-haul owes me a little return on the $99 I just spent to rent a Van for 24 hours. If I would have been provided the proper information tpermission then I would have come within within the mileage that I expected and within budget of this rental vehicle. It's very important that I stay within budget since I currently don't know when I'm going to get another dollar from any source. Let us see I'm nearly angry at the fact that no one informed me that the storage facility would not be available when I needed it to be.

He went out of his way to correct a lockout situation that was a nightmare of multiple problems created by the person who had not only sold me a new lock the day before, but had also confirmed my automatic payment status AND my emergency contact information. I was locked out w a notice of non payment so Quinton was left to correct a horrid & insulting situation he did not create. He was polite & professional through the entire ordeal. The person who sold me the lock gave me wrong keys so once the lockout lock & tags had been removed, we discovered that situation. What an ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLY UNNECESSARY & time consuming mess for Quinton to make right. He handled this entire transaction in an extremely courteous manner. He displayed an honest & sincere desire to please me & did so w a level of integrity that represented U-Haul w impeccable professionalism. The entire transaction also included the transfer to a smaller unit so after the inconvenience to me as a customer & the horrendous disaster left for Quinton to resolve w MULTIPLE steps to regain access to my unit, I was able to transfer from unit B67 to B113 w an ease that, again, represented U-Haul w the utmost professionalism. Quinton was polite; genuine & sincere; & maintained a level of professionalism throughout each & every UNNECESSARY step of rectifying the nightmare he did not create. I am of the belief that his only goal was to be sure that my situation was one he was DETERMINED TO CORRECT!!! He did so & never once displayed any agitation toward me or his fellow employee whatsoever. Not only should he be allowed to train all other employees, he should be promoted to a level of management & given a well deserved increase in salary that speaks as beautifully to him & as highly for him as he did for U-Haul. You will have to look far & wide for anyone who might come close to, but not yet compare.

However, I found furniture dollies much more helpful when they were provided at a different facility (not UHaul) I used a couple of years ago! The climate controlled room was warmer than expected while we put items into the unit. We were surprised to see the wall thermostat at 90 degrees before we finished. The staff was extremely helpful & pleasant when I returned the trailer even though it was very hot and they were working very hard and quickly!

The rv next to us is in our space and the trailer on the other side is right on the line, it took us 45 minutes to carefully put it in our spot , now we are worried about maneuvering it out. We are checking other rv locations. U-Haul also has a dip in the road where the rv bottoms out.

Awesome staff, except one individual who was rude and he very demanding on payment or I'd lose my unit. Thankfully I requested upper management and that gentleman helped me and worked with me so Uhaul can receive payment and I wouldn't lose my personal belongings. Wonderful experience, expect maybe that one guy that needs to be reminded that not everyone has a job or getting full hours to make full payment. With this current storage, I checked out roughly a week before my due date and felt I should have received a pro-rated refund. When I asked about this, I was told that this was not an option. Ultimately I would rent storage from U-haul but was not happy about this experience.

I received exceptional assistance, including the sweetest gentlemen who helped me with the storage building unit. I am a travel nurse, and I told him that the reason that I got into Nursing is a desire to help during war time. He said, "He (and pointed up to God) works in mysterious ways!" "Amen," I said and my heart is filled with gladness to help others and be appreciated during this crisis situation. I had not thought of myself as a Veteran (I always wanted to serve, but I am too old now). Thank you U-Haul for assisting me on numerous occasions with across country moves, which has been invaluable to me!!
