I requested moving help from JT Services which was on the UHaul list when I rented the truck. I confirmed with Jake days before my move. I think they should be removed from your list. They canceled on me by text 10 MINUTES BEFORE they were supposed to show up!! Moving is stressful enough. It put me in a terrible situation.

First trailer after being all hooked up found that the right rear turn signal did not work. So she did the correct thing and had to unhook and go to the next trailer which all lights worked. This wasted both our time and caused her to go back and delete the current contract and reissue another new contact with the new trailer.
Would make sense to have someone go through a quick safety check after use to make sure everything is working before putting the unit back in active inventory.

The car trailer failed less than 24 hours after our automobile was loaded. The employee was aware of my concers, as our previous trailer rental failed as well. As a result she chained the axles. That was great. Not so great is theeft wheel strap assembly failed completely. We were delayed on our trip by four hours in order for repairs to be completed. Two auto trailers rented in a 30--odd day period which failed. U-Haul has a serious maintenance problem. Statistically speaking, if I had lroblems on two sequential rentals, how many other trailers are in disrepair. Dangerous, reckless, irresponsible lack of sufficient maintenance.

The tow dolly was missing the wheel straps that we pointed out to the U-Haul employees. Then we had to wait nearly an hour for parts to be removed from a different dolly and put on the one we were renting. There were many other dolly’s I don’t understand why changes couldn’t have been made to give us a different dolly rather than take parts from one to fix another.

I put "yes"to recommend because I'm a loyal U-Haul customer and I do generally like the company despite the occasional issues I've encountered. This time I've gotten a bit extra frustrated though by the robotic algorithmic policy to nickel and dime me for a few extra miles. There doesn't seem to be any algorithm that accounts for loyal customers who return trucks clean, early and with plenty of extra gas each and every time. No well just ask that said customer to travel to a further location for his destinations for pickup and return then squeeze him for extra cash because he chose to avoid bumper to bumper traffic if he had used the shortest recommended route possible. Then at the drop off location we'll only provide one employee so I'm waiting around 15 mins just so I can hand the key back. Feeling less than and punished when I should be treated better for being a good customer.

Management and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The only thing I had an issue with was the access code. Having to drive around to the back of the building, get out of the car, enter the code or swipe your card, then get back in car and drive to unit. I realize that's only the case for outside access units and it's really just a preference - not an issue with the facility itself. I set the alarm off a couple times due to forgetting to enter my access code prior to opening my unit. But I was able to notify management and it wasn't an issue.

A great stay.
We moved for a better price for double the space - a 10x10 for 15 less per month, and a closer site and longer hours at Metro Storage Blaine. U-Haul security ranks higher than our choice given full walls between units and individual alarms.
The only problem we ever had in our long stay was a couple of times when the elevator was out when doing major work - making the move much harder.

Customer service at Coon rapids blvd is garbage. They expect the customer to run the entire transaction beginning to end off an app and have multiple stages of link clicking that if you miss acknowledging it, they will charge you like you work for them. Nickel and dimed, garbage customer service and made to run an app with more hoops to jump through than you can shake a stick at, and fined if you miss a step. Just renting, pick up and drop off , thank you Uhaul for the extra time, frustration and money you managed to cost me. Guarantee there are thousands of these customer experiences now with this moronic app obligation you’ve foisted on your customers, and then fining them for a mistake or oversight. I was called multiple times they sent me a bill they sent my mom a bill. I called to tell them I was out of the unit they said I didn't have a storage there so it must of gotten taken care of. I was still called and sent a bill and finally a manager called me after being out of the unit for a months and 8 days asking me if I was going to pay my bill and that my stuff isn't accessible until I pay the balance due only for me to tell her I've been out of the unit for a month and 8 days. I even checked out online so someone dropped the ball and they tried charging me for it.

Needing to disarm my unit before opening it and rearming it upon leaving was not explained clearly. I was expecting to have to enter a code to enter the building, but there were sliding doors that opened automatically, so I just went in. So, when I went to open my unit for the first time I set off an alarm, as well as when I used the elevator to go back down to the first level. There was a sign saying that if you don’t check out upon leaving you would be denied access the next time, but it didn’t explain how you check out.

There were several issues with the alarm system and our storage unit. This required several trips back and forth from the office to our unit to get it resolved. We left with the alarm system still not fully fixed on our unit. Staff were helpful but also perplexed by the issue. Hoping it’s resolved the next time we have to open the unit.

Called to cancel my unit last month after you screwed me over on a truck rental. And I had to pay an extra 40 miles of mileage because you could not honor my reservation for a truck I had made 3 weeks prior and sent me 20 miles away to pick up and drop off a truck. After I cleared my unit out, and canceled last month. I get an email this month telling me I haven’t paid my rent. Don’t know what’s going on over there, but I’ll take my business elsewhere in the future. Not a professionally ran place at all.

I was not in favor nor against this location until I went to close out my unit. I even called the morning of to say I would be there after work and was told they would be there and would be ready to help anyway they could if need be. I arrived and started to drive to the entry doors and was surprised when I almost was stuck in hot tar that was being laid (no markers or anything blocking entry). I needed to close that day so I carefully made my way to the doors (no one stopped me nor came out to even speak to me although there were multiple employees inside) and once inside realized there was no other door out and now almost the whole parking lot was covered and I was stuck. I finally got someone to come “guide” me back with my TV and Christmas tree on a cart pushing through gravel and grass. A little oops that should have been locked and blocked off but no real apology. I had been at work for almost 10 hours, had over a 45 minute drive gone and now smelled hot tar on my car. Not a great ending and won’t be going back.

This was my fault, but I didn't read the terms and agreement completely so I was unaware of disarming my unit before opening it..lol, very loud. I thing it would be much better and helpful if it was located in a more convenient spot, honestly, who really reads all of the terms and agreement. Uhaul refused previous attempts to pay balance owed and lied several times saying my unit was set for auction and nothing they could do. Then I begin getting calls again several months later again requesting payment with a new auction date again unwilling to accept payments it was all or nothing. Then again months later I begin getting calls again and a voice-mail stating that they just wanted me to come pickup my things and vacate the unit. I called them back and suddenly they were insistent on full payment otherwise again another new auction date. I told them i didn't have $1600+ and they asked me what I could afford and I told them I could do $200 per week but they refused that as well.They called back again stating $400 and i could have my things with about 4 days before yet another auction date which i couldn't afford unless they had given me the couple of weeks needed to raise it. I stopped taking them seriously and began feeling they were deceitful and crooked because of these practices and now I have lost the one thing I ever got from my father unfortunately after his death which was a shotgun among several other sentimental items from my recent divorce along with irreplaceable things from my 5 year old son that I will never see again all of which I imagine will be tossed out in the trash or sold off for pennies when it was priceless to me.

Facility was staffed and maintained far beyond expectations. Most notable is the excellent staff and staffing.
I apologize but i do not recall the female staff member working (tirelessly) daily in the storage area but I need to single her out. She was very polite, professional and extremely helpful. When I commended her she would simply reply that customer service is a given and anything less than exceptional is substandard. She, along with the rest of the staff I encountered is the reason I highly recommend your facility and services.

local people are fabulous but your call center in Phoenix is a total disaster you have to hire more people to man that center or shut it down all you are doing is creating negativity with the outrageous wait times to speak to a person. FIX IT.

Very clean! First time getting a tour at U-Haul for storage so that was nice! Would recommend wipes to wipe down carts between guests! The only negative thing I have to say is I always choose insurance but wasn’t happy they added “$5 safe move” without asking me! When it was mentioned there really wasn’t much they said. They asked if I did it online by mistake and I said no, your employee did it and she verified it came up automatically. It’s $5 but unethical

I used this storage to store family pictures and heirlooms after my elderly father moved out of his house into an apartment. I live near Dallas, TX so it was important for me to have a place to safely store these items until such time that I'd be able to transport all of the items to my home in Texas. It was really nice to have the peace of mind that my items were safe and in a temperature controlled facility. The easy online payment was nice too!

1st night was a horrific experience with people trying to get in. Second night again but not so bad but very hard to feel comfortable using 24 hour access when people are parking cars by loading and unloading area. However the staff was there with comforting words and police too!
