Matthew H.The original location was an absolute joke. The guy told us to get the h*** out of his store because they are a vape shop, not a rental location. He was beyond rude. So we then came to this location. At first, the staff wasn't the friendliest as we were not scheduled to return the trailer at this location. They told us we needed to go to the scheduled drop-off location. But once we explained what had happened, they were good. They reassured us they would inform corporate about our 1st drop-off location experience.
Jennifer P.Something had been spilled on the center council and floor mats. The front windshield was cracked almost all the way across the bottom of the windshield. There was broken glass from a mirror and trash left in the back of the truck that I swept before returning the truck. The radio was also turned all of the way up when I initially started the truck. Even with this I will still be returning next year for our initial GS Cookie delivery to rent another truck. It sure beats taking multiple trips with a smaller vehicle. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The U-haul team have all been very friendly and understanding. They've worked with me time after time. Giving me the chance to not lose my things is, to me very important and means the world. Ramona M.The truck we were given was extremely beat up, the transmission was struggling, and the differential was noisy. Also the lock we were given was extremely difficult to use, nearly impossible. I used to work for a u haul dealer and we would never have released this truck in its present condition. Also we had to drive further away from where we rented a truck which added mileage expense.

So literally after I paid for this month I locked my self out of my unit I took the latch off and was going to put it back on but they instantly kicked us and didn’t even reimburse me my money back. I don’t make very much money and I’m barely scraping by so having them do that and with out giving my money back. Made it extremely hard for me this month and I have to pretend Santa miss placed my daughters letter because I can’t even afford to buy her what she really wanted for Christmas.

Peter G. | Overall ExperienceEverything was great at first I paid ahead a few months because I was moving to Reno, once in Reno I ended up in a situation where I couldn't pay for the unit. I was notified that u haul was going to be putting a lien on my unit and auctioning if my balance was not paid right away. I had spoken to brad the GM prior to this notice informing of my situation. I tried to set up a payment plan to keep from losing my keepsakes and memories and valuables I kept there to stay safe until I could get it to Reno with me. i was told that I had to pay the full balance at that time and if I were to make a partial payment I would then have 24 hours to remove my belongings from the unit which would have been impossible for me considering I'm all the way in Reno.. and at the time was homeless with no way of being able to pay the balance in full without splitting up my payments.. I lost all the things i held most dear, family photos my daughters things, irreplaceable art and collectables... All because I ended up in a difficult situation and wasn't allowed to to split my payments up to pay the balance.. and what really feels great to know is that it was just auctioned off like a week ago when I was told months ago that it was being auctioned off.. if I knew the truth I would've been able to recover my belongings like two months ago... I'm extremely unimpressed and truly saddened by this whole situation.. it's just flat out wrong. Also the last time I was at my unit there were a couple of homeless people in the building after hours pretending they had multiple units there which I know they did not..

It would be much easier for customers to just top off the tank before they return the trucks than to try to guess how many gallons are needed to get back to whatever level the tank was at when they picked up the vehicle.

I felt good about where my stuff was held while I could not see it. When my glass computer desk shattered accidentally, they came and helped us get the mess out of the hallway - they came by three times to verify that every scrap was gone for all future people walking the hallways and I loved that they cared for those coming after us. (I just wish we had brought a broom that day, we weren't yet at that point and were not expecting my computer desk to decide to give up on us.)

Several bags of dog food. I had a duffle bag of personal items left opened and gone through. When asked about my missing items i was told they dont have cameras. The only people who would have had access to steal my items would be employees. Please do not rent a storage here If you value your things.

Everyone was helpful and even asked if you need help. Moving is frustrating in itself especially when some of us have many reasons to why we are moving but to have a good attitude staff that are willing to help, honestly makes it 10 times easier. Will definitely be only renting my uhaul here. The service was immaculate.

One door was broken, and the other door was being fixed so the only exit we could use to move our stuff was the person door to the side. Carrying our stuff through that door across the snow out onto the movers truck added about a half an hour to the job and cost us an extra $100.

Plenty of bays to unload and load--I never had to wait for one to open up. Very good security systems in place as you get a code for access and that arms an alarm on your individual unit to keep it secure. Temperature control was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely rent here again if I ever need a storage unit.

It was difficult maintaining everything until I regained my 24 access again. My online account access closed and I lost ability to control my online payments. At that point I found an apartment and started the renting process again and terminated my storage services. It was a very clean facility and convenient especially in the winter months. I will utilize Uhaul storage in the future when necessary. It was a challenge when there were a few late payments and I was locked out from my unit. When they opened it it was not just them removing the additional locks from the unit but they needed to restore the passcodes. This process held me back from getting into my unit when I had moving help with me. And the after hours couldn’t help with this. I think in our day and age this is something that can be done very easily from a remote location. Thank you

james b. | Overall ExperienceThe renting process online was seemingly smooth, when I upgraded the size of the unit in store, it seemed my payment wasn’t processed the 1st time, kind of annoying but not a big deal, I rented the unit towards the end of the day, so I didn’t get a chance to come back and put a lock on my unit since they close at 1, so night manager locked it (Which I appreciate the extra care) but, it took them 3 days to remove the lock from my unit for different reasons like incorrect code, no one was available to unlock it, they needed to call a locksmith, they were busy and they just simply forgot… so I didn’t have access to the unit for almost 3 full days and I had to postpone a trip out of town.

Nancy M. | First ImpressionsWe received a free month of storage with a rental of a Uhaul. I had emailed them regarding the charge for the next month, since the paperwork stated that they would be using an ACH. They never emailed me back and I received 2 late fees on my account, which caused my storage to also be locked by them. I received a phone call 3 weeks later saying they would remove the fees from my account if I paid them that day. I was furious when I found out that they had tried to charge my mother's credit card, the payment used for the uhaul rental the previous month. We did not agree to have this account charged and I told Shawn, management, that it was not ethical to charge a card without the owner's permission and asked why they waited 3 weeks to call and not reply to the emails. They apologized and then took my payment, but my storage room remained locked for a day and a half with their lock so I was unable to access it. I called and asked why this was and the person who answered said that it was his manager's fault and asked if I made the payment online. When I came in to close my storage I also had to wait over 20 minutes because the same guy left the other employee by himself at closing with a line of customers. This was by far the worst experience I've had with moving moving storage. I will not be doing business with Uhaul in the future.

Bridgette K. | Online Move InFrom Heather's mom who drove the truck: I first turned the trailer and tow dolly into Dahl's Mini Storage. The owner had to catch a flight for a family emergency so his area manager, Scott, took over. The men I'd hired to unload the truck locked my keys in the car. Scott bullied me and essentially said that if I didn't get it done immediately, he'd take possession of my things. I even offered to pay for another day and he said "no, just get your stuff off the truck". I called corporate and the woman there heard him. She said that to help, she was going to send me to another place to drop the trailer and it didn't have to be in until Sunday so I'd have time to hire someone else. (Scott scared them off) I asked about the charge and she said there'd be none because it wasn't my fault. I was so upset and shaky that I fell out of the truck when I moved it elsewhere. I was hurt and 911 had to send help. I'm still in excruciating pain. I was bawling while emergency services helped me. I've never been so upset. This is like a bad nightmare. I turned the trailer in a day early and received a bill of over $250 the next day. We already paid almost $200 over the original cost at Dahl's (and almost $80 for a storage bldg) and this shouldn't have cost anything. I've never had anything like this happen with UHaul. You're usually professional. I'm shocked and angry. The Uhaul place on 13th Street is the total opposite of Dahl's. They're kind and helpful.

So that tells me the staff knew and still fails to inform tenants. No one ever tried to reach me from uhual. The cops have still never recieved any footage to help with their investigations.

I went back to the office but no one was there to help (busy smoking out front) so I watched the monitor to see what other people were doing and I figured it out on my own. I would have preferred someone explaining it to me correctly the first time.....that I needed to enter my code twice in two different spots to get in. Otherwise, it was a very positive experience, just 30 minutes of crazy frustration.
