Your booking system and especially the app on pickup is absolutely horrendous. The extra information required at pickup is not acceptable. It should be requested earlier in the booking process. Imagine picking up your U-haul at 0400. Who the hell wants to be woken up by a rude (yes he was) customer service guy checking up on you? Who carries their passport with them when doing heavy manual work? No one. What regular office is open at 0400? None!! The entire system is unacceptable. If you want (not need as regular rental companies don't) this info then you need to advise the client earlier. Much earlier. It was an absolute shock to arrive for an 8 am collection (now what if your company is LA-based and I'm on the E coast...?) and you're suddenly fronted with all these unknown requirements, you've been dropped off by Uber to drive a truck. No way to get home and back with a passport...etc. You really need to sort this process out. I'll book and recommend Budget from now on until I hear you've modernized. And yes it was my first time. Katilyn at your Roper Mountain Rd location (Greenville) did her best to save the day. Credit to her.

Your rentals need to be inspected for broken or missing trim parts, as well as test electrical window and locks Operation. You should have two clerks at each location on staff. One for the admin/check-in uhaul rentals and another to handle your storage facility operations. The clerk was flooded with storage foot traffic. She tried multi-tasking between my check-in and a customer who came after me for a storage issue. I believe that she overcharged me while trying to help the other customer.

I came back the next day and was told my reservation was not available even though Uhaul Corp said it was. I was given two 3rd floor 10x10's instead of a 10x20 1st floor. I refused the rooms and went elsewhere because no Uhaul locations had this size available. Because of your poor inventory handling I lost my free month.

FRANKIE PONCEHi, The staff at this location are good people and they are very friendly. My below average ranking is due to a number of factors. First of all, the location is terrible. It is hard to get into and out of, and the parking is often all taken up in UHaul vans. At times when I have needed to get things out of storage, or put things in, I have been unable to park near my unit entrance. Secondly, Swiping in and out, and then having to swipe again at the elevator is tedious. One swipe at the elevator should be sufficient. Third despite prominently advertising climate controlled units, few of them actually are. Fourth, I did not know until I arrived late at night that this location, which I had secured online, would not except my rental truck return because it was out of state. After driving all day, on a holiday, I was directed to another facility 8 miles away. Had I known, I would have rented a unit there instead.
