I think the level of customer service at this U-Haul facility on Columbus Road exceeds that expectations of any customer. Melissa goes above and beyond as far as customer service I will recommend this specific location to anyone. I will not go anywhere else when it comes to doing business with U-Haul.

We reserved a truck online and the following morning it took nearly 30 min to get the keys. At checkout we were given paperwork with another customers name, address, phone number and payment information. Two hours later I was called saying I never picked up the truck when we had it, then I was called again saying I didn’t have a contract and they needed payment again even though there was an ~80$ charge on my cc already. This had to be refunded and I was charged out again. The whole experience was chaos with very clumsy handling of customer personal information.

Could definitely use more staff, once staff checking in or is cleaning a truck that was returned there is no one in the building to assist you. Seems like its always one staff member working at a time.

I want U-Haul to know, that the people at this particular location are SO exceptionally wonderful that even though it’s out of my way, and a little inconvenient, I specifically chose this location simply because…they ARE - SO wonderful! Yes friendly. Yes professional. Personable and so on. But in this most recent experience, Johnnie went way out of his way to help and accommodate me! Who does this? Especially at U-Haul? Like I said, it was out of my way…and inconvenient. But obviously I’ll do that, to have Johnnie and Missy help me!!

I just wanted to.comment on how kind and helpful the gentleman was that checked me in and out. I’ve used U-Haul quite a bit the last 8ish years and this was by far my best experience! When we got in the truck, my 20 year old son even commented on how kind he was! The experience was the fastest I’ve ever had at U-Haul! He is a great asset to U-Haul! Don’t let him get away!

I absolutely love this location, so friendly and helpful, highly recommend. New associate check in my return but it did not process in the system, I noticed I still had the active reservation so I returned to the facility to be sure the return was processed fully. Again, no big deal since everyone so friendly I didn't mind the extra trip.

My moving experience was awesome as usual and this is why that I continue to only rent from the Columbus U-Haul store. I have never had any problems here, only exceptional service. I highly recommend renting from this store because Melissa manages this store well and I can rely on it.

It was fairly easy to get the reservation, scan in my ID the night before, apply the credit card, grab the keys and go. The return was even more easier.

No friendly greeting. No attention paid to me until absolutely necessary. Guy who checked me in saw me pull up. He was washing out a truck, and gave no indication that he would be able to help me return. I had a discrepancy in what he says my tank should have been filled to. But even showing him the pic I took when I picked up that said '161 miles to empty', and the EXACT same '161 miles to empty' displaying when dropped off, he either couldn't or wouldn't listen nor attempt to be helpful. Then proceeded to tell me I was 35 miles OVER what was expected. UHAUL made an extra $60 or so......this is a load.......

This store is really awesome and you are greeted with a friendly "hello and how can I help you" when you enter the door. It is neat, clean, well organized and well maintained. If you need additional products for moving or storage they are readily available. The staff makes sure that you have everything that you need for a good moving or storage experience and make suggestions. I had need to use the restroom and I was amazed at the cleanliness and neatness. I have some suggestions that would increase the marketability of this store: 1) Access to restrooms would be better if they were located separate from the store so that storage customers have access after store hours. 2) Moving the key card swipe to the same side as the storage entrance would greatly assist handicapped and the disabled to gain safe and easier access to their units. I am a disabled adult female and having to swipe my card on one side of the building and walk around to the other side of the building is unsafe after hours and difficult for me due to my mobility issues. 3) Having the entrance door on the same side as the storage units with proper and safe lighting would assure safe entrance to the storage units, Please take into consideration the suggestions that I have made. I always use this store for moving ad storage and will not use other stores because of great care and awesome customer experience that I get when coming to this store.

The 1st place I had a rental thur wasn't open when I went to pick up so had to call akron and they found me this one that was open and helped. The lady in the am that took care of me she was rude and not very friendly or polite. They lady in the afternoon she was Awesome

You all are trying to charge us 9000$ dollars for local move from Canton Oh to Akron Oh as the odometer is showing we drove 8000 miles in less than 24 hours. Not possible and not true so your employees are making mistakes clearly and it’s been stressing us out a lot

This storage unit shows how much the store manager invests in maintaining clean, well organized storage units. The units are well maintained, clean, easily accessible and provide safety for me an older single women like myself. The process of bringing in my items for storage was made much easier by having well lit, clean and maintained access to my unit. There were transfer carts to move my items from the U Haul truck which I also rented from this store to my unit. Melissa Brand very obviously wants to provide, clean and well maintained units to rent. Her care of the customer and their storage experience is her number one priority and it shows. I will highly recommend to my friends and family looking for storage to visit Melissa and her store.

My truck rental experience at Columbus Rd U Haul Rental and Storage was awesome. The manager Melissa Brand made this experience easy because upon arrival when I realized that I needed a 17'truck instead of the 15' truck that I had reserved. She made the switch quickly and smoothly. The equipment was neat and well maintained as was the truck. It is more than apparent that Missy runs and manages a clean, neat store, and does her job well. She has staff that is attentive and helpful.

Man what !!!! Y'all took 57$ from my account then took 43$ from my account and then took 37$ from my account and I haven't received ANY OF MY MONEY BACK YET SMH.. then the 1 dude gave me the option to sweep the back of the truck out so they don't charge me for it like when I was done so I swept it out and he said that I was 3 gallons shy on the gas side so he gave me the option to go putnthe 3 gallons in and I did it and they STILL CHARGED ME AND AGAIN THEY SAID THAT ALL THEY TOOK WAS 37$ FROM MY ACCOUNT 🤬🤬LIKE SURE UR RIGHT IF 57$ + 43$ + 37$ = 37$ THEN idk what math y'all was using BUT NAH DUDE

I have rented from this Uhaul location many times over the years and I am never disappointed. Occasionally it gets crowded, but aside from that (which they don't have any control over) the service is excellent and they often go above and beyond the call of duty.

I can’t think of anything. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to assist in any information, questions or concerns that I had. Johnie’s installation was very thorough, quick and clean with the electrical wiring of my vehicle. I couldn’t have asked for a better situation. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Missy and Johnnie! Thank you for the opportunity to highly compliment them and express my gratitude!

I really appreciated the manager's kindness and efficiency. I also appreciated the hours - I needed to pick up and move a mattress from one home to another after 5:00 pm. The store was open until 8:00 pm, so I got the job done and the van back long before close. The manager took care of everything promptly. Thank you!

Customer service was no good, the people I spoke with were polite but, not knowledgeable on basic business questions. Your truck return app didn't work, the drop box was a secret. And $19.95... doesn't mean $19.95, just get a new slogan.

Office hours posted were 7a-7p. My pickup was for 8am. However, upon my arrival at 750am. Doors were locked and lights still off. Another couple had been waiting since 7am. Having reliable workers would be a good start.

I would like to say that the Columbus Road location in Canton Ohio was filled with the most helpful and courtesy people I have met my entire life Dave was there every step of my process of moving so he went above and beyond considering I was only there to get a truck he made me feel comfortable to wear I also got a storage unit there there isn't enough space or time to continue about the great experience I had with him alone thumbs up Dave and Missy also was very helpful in accommodating and patient I had some issues that I was going through and they all were very accommodating understanding and patient with me there were two other employees I wish I could remember their name My overall experience there was wonderful and I would definitely recommend this location and their employees I wish I could take their employees and put them everywhere I had to do business LOL then I would never have a problem thank you to everyone at U-Haul Columbus Road location you're awesome and I had the best customer service I've ever experienced anywhere that I have been hands down

I was unable to leave the truck at the storage location which clearly had the capability and capacity. Instead, I had to deliver the truck to another location which was much smaller and less capable than the storage/rental location and incurred added milage costs.

Missy was awesome! I had my storages about 5yrs and she worked with me on multiple occasions when it came to late payments and payment arrangements. The other staff were ok, but if Missy wasn’t there I’d rather wait and talk to her when she came back. My move out however was completely DISGUSTING and ridiculous. I had multiple items I left behind because they were literally COVERED in mice droppings. It’s understandable that there could be some issues seeing that the storages aren’t sealed off individually, but the fact I had to leave some stuff because of it was unacceptable. There was a giant rodent poison box in my second storage unit (B19) where majority of the mouse droppings were and that was just mind blowing to say the least. I also came across a dead roach in my first unit (B47) which I’m glad was dead and didn’t multiply! I just really don’t appreciate that fact I paid extra fees for having an indoor storage and from my understanding, the fees were for protection and maintenance against rodents and bugs. After this, I highly doubt I will ever use this storage facility again, and yes I will for sure spread the word.
