Jack SRadio did not work, so made for a long boring ride. The wheel straps on the car hauler kept coming loose and falling off. Had to stop every 50-Miles along the road back to check on them, and reapply them. All hand-crank locks appeared to still be in place where left at, after tension had been applied, but it appeared the straps just unwound and allowed the tire straps to fall of. Also had an issue where a reservation made that day, with equipment allocated, was not able to be rented at pickup location, until original store canceled the reservation, and re-reser ed it, at which time the equipment was reallocated to the new reservation. Vehicle only had a 1/4th take of fuel upon pickup, which meant I had to fill it before I could get on the road, costing me over $100 at the front-end of the trip, and having gauge how much fuel to put back into it at the end before returning the vehicle, to make sure it only had the same 1/4th tank or slightly above it to avoid refill costs. Recommend all vehicles be filled up before the trip, making it easier to refill and not lose money to putting too much fuel back in the vehicle, which only benefits Uhauls bottom line as the expense of the customer renting the equipment.

Patrick SMy experience was horrible. To start we originally rented for a location in our hometown, we received a message that location did not have a truck but did at the location 9 miles down from it and then another call stating the closest location was over twenty miles from us. We ended up having to take it because it was too late to change plans. Once we arrived at the location the guy that was at the desk was very rude, he didn’t acknowledge us and simply asked for our name and phone number. After that he was confused on what trucks were available and couldn’t find keys for MULTIPLE vehicles. Finally he found a set of keys and rang me up. When he gave me the total it was over a $100 different from the quote I received, he explained that it was due to mileage. He first stated he didn’t think the payment went through because he had backed out of the system and I had to tell him that it did because I got an email and text confirmation. All of a sudden he said “oh it went through”. The text that showed the tag of the vehicle did not match and he said it was a mixup but would be fine. While there it was several others that came in for there reservations only to be told they didn’t have any trucks. I find in not the best business practice to be able to reserve a truck and then get there to be told there aren’t any. What should have been a easy rental was not, I was charged for two 26’ trucks and was told the refund would be within 3-5 business days. The purpose for the truck was only to store furniture while our floors were redone but we ended up having to pay for mileage since the truck was so far. The entire point of getting a uhaul instead of a storage unit was simply for the price for the amount of time we needed it but the amount we paid we could have just went with the local storage unit. This process was very disappointing and it felt like the staff at that location just walked in off the street. In addition I forgot to mention that the same worker complained the entire time out loud that customers are evil and just come in everytime he’s trying to eat his lunch. Very unprofessional staff at this location to the point I had to walk outside because I was over it hearing him complain. I don’t have the workers name because again he appeared to look like someone off the street.

Precious AHave the manager onsite to assist especially at the beginning and end of the month when you KNOW you will be busy. Also actually train your employees to understand the customer perspective, EMPATHY. The two employees had less than 2 months of experience but were genuinely helpful. However, it was not until I got to the loading point that I realized I was short half of the furniture pads I had reserved. Also, this was the second location I went to on the same day, and still did not have the 20-foot truck I reserved months ago. Telling me that you are busy because of the beginning of the month is your organizational failure. You have been in this moving business for decades and the end/beginning of the month rush is not new. The employees at the first location on Capital Circle NE were completely dismissive of me when they had no truck. In fact, I don't think he even looked up to acknowledge me. I know you cant pay people to care but you can pay people to act like they do. I had hired movers and helpers that I had to pay to stand around and wait while a truck was located. What is the point of reservations if you cannot manage them? I spent 30 miles driving for a truck and 15 miles using the truck of which only I needed to move 0.5 miles. I would like to be compensated for my time, inconvenience, and mileage
MATT'S CBetter service had two wait a good 1.5 hours to pickup a scheduled trailor there was usually only 1 at the counter and time none while they go n hook up a simple trailor .

Belva BMove in was a little bit confusing. Due to limited options was offered a storage unit that wasn't cleaned out but agreed to move in since the lock was included, contract was on monthly to month, using as a storage until end of month. Didn't have a 10x7 available so went up instead of downsizing. Enclosed is a photo attachment of what the storage unit looked like before moving in. Hope to resolve or receive a month free on next rental when downsizing or moving into new until. Inconvenience of cleaning and having the risk orf being accused of damages did not cause. Sent picture to manage email. Assured can move out no contract no fees no problems. Expected move out date to another unit is April 19, 2024. The manager step in towards the end of the transaction to make corrections on account. Mr. Burns and some other prospects were on site waiting. 1st month free was valid only with purchase of moving truck, and didn't want the inconvenience of signing the same contract twice neither wanted my signature electronic in order to copy & paste. So request a paper print out due to all the hacking/scammers & fraudulent activity. U-Haul provides individually alarmed rooms and twice the protection & security so the customer service & standard advantages made up for the headache artificial intelligence was giving Crystal Nicole Coley. Signed as all rights reserved to Crystal Nicole Coley not to family or friends. Definitely having a better experience at U-Haul then the last storage unit. 1 thing on my prayer list answered. Added insurance($5,000) on March 25, 2024 to cover books documents containers paint art supplies clothes electronics devices(intel), hair tools/equipment, clothes, clothing rack, suitcase $1,000 equal or less to in cash notes Resolution to trespass warning against visitors, friends, start properties or personal properties hanging out without being posted. All rights reserved to Crystal Nicole Coley acknowledge that while U-Haul in this facility takes certain precautions to provide clean dry and secure storage rooms and agree that U-Haul in this facility does ensure my property and does have the responsibility to provide insurance for my property as effective March 25th of 2024 furthermore I agree that U-Haul in the facility are responsible for any damages or loss that may occur to the property while in storage. And understand that it is requirement for U-Haul in the facility to maintain insurance coverage for my goods or property as long as they are in the storage facility. With the exception of customers moving out leaving property behind and the manager considering unclaimed property rules and procedures the premises and office were clean. The unit moved in was not moved in ready or clean so emailed and spoke to manager about moving out since none of my options were available.

Brett JI should have checked the paper that i had to pre-agree to. I went to home depot, and after i wanted to mark the miles, so i would know how far it was to my house. I noticed that my milaege was 44 miles over what the uhaul paper said. I had figured i had maybe done 4 at the most, and they simply got it off by 40. But of course, when i returned it, i couldn't tell anyone, becausevthey were closed.
Marcus NWe returned the trailer one day and the staff helped get the car off and removed the trailer. The truck was returned remotely via the U-Haul app and the process was easy.

Tamars GThe facility was hot I mean 85 degrees hot. It felt cooler outside than inside the climate control storage. There was a used nasty mattress in the hall old junk sitting by the door with trash down the aisle. When I opened my new storage a damm rodent trap with poison sitting in there. Homeless people standing around and beating me through the door. This place doesn't give me clean or safe. I wouldn't store anything at this facility not even trash. The best decision I made was to ask for a refund.

We repeatedly asked how long it was going to take but were told "we don't know". With the exception of the young lady at the desk, we were treated rudely. This is unacceptable. We will no longer use or endorse UHaul, the ONLY company we've been with for over 30 yrs. We will be going with your competition from now on.

Ronald GPick-up location was changed at last minute & we had to accept a smaller truck to use correct location which made our move very difficult. We also were not provided with the dolly that was requested which added to the difficulty of the loading process. Reservations made in advance SHOULD have meaning and be accommodated rather than the customer being forced to use inadequate equipment.
Donna WI believe that if you return the vehicle back with more gas than was originally and way earlier than predicted to it should be a credit or at least points off that would go towards your next rental.
Timothy CThe manager a Young thin afro-american man wearying glasses was the most contrary business person I ever did business with. When I politely advised him I was not happy with his service he told me to "Get the fuck out" When I asked two of the employees who were on duty at this time one a new hire of 3 days the other a younger and more polite and agreeable operator just smiled in the affirmative when I asked him if this was a common occurrence with the way this manager treated customers . I suspect your losing more business than you know with this character. I will never return to this location as his face is burned in my memory furthermore I will advise all my contacts to steer clear of this place. Good Day Gentilmen

Mario A | First ImpressionsThis U-haul location always gives great service whether picking up or returning a unit. It's the largest multi-service rental location I've experienced. Their customer service is knowledgeable of their products, the details of the rental are explained well, they have a well-stocked selection of moving products, and they close later than most locations, which is great when you have a unit to return after a long day of moving.
Sheri WU-Haul app and website are horrific. 800# constantly directs you there. It is extremely slow and freezes up constantly. Additionally, customer service at 800# constantly miscommunicated. I had (4) U-boxes that were scheduled to be delivered on the same day. For some reason, one box was left in Tallahassee despite assurances from 800# that all four boxes were scheduled to arrive at the same time. As a result, I was hit with another $500+ for delivery of the one box in addition to the $800+ for the three boxes. As a result of U-haul neglecting to delivery the one box with the other three, I was also hit with another month's storage fee. I will be needing a 6'x12' trailer for at least two more trips. I will be looking into other options other than U-haul. U-haul made a stressful situation even more stressful.
Eric KDropped off trailer Monday morning. They never checked it in. I called 3 different times and each time was told they would take care of it. Wednesday, I drove up there again 20 miles and got them to check it in. In all actuality, they had already rented it again. It wasn’t on the lot.

Cynthia DOn the way to the drop off city uhaul called and said the drop off location was changed. The new location was on the other side of town. That would be about 30 minutes further. After being on hold for some time and several redials due to system dropping me or being sent to wrong person I found out why. Turns out, according to Uhaul staff, no one else on the east side of Tallahassee was taking drop-offs. Just thought I would let you know. P.S. I received a text that said you guys were giving me a discount. I have not seen the discount.

Saray CI have no complaints and no issues with this location. They didn't have either of the dolly's that we rented but that wasn't their fault. They did not have our original reservation. Again, no complaints at all with this location. The service was good the staff was friendly and helpful. However, our experience with UHaul overall was horrible! Our original reservation was confirmed and then for some unknown reason it was transferred to another location 40 miles away. Nobody could help us, the original location made no effort to help us, we were sent to another location, they couldn't help us! We called Traffic and they couldn't find anywhere that had the equipment that we reserved. A toatl nightmare. Thankful that this location came through for us like they did.
William MThe trailer’s interior was fine but the exterior was very dirty and had considerable winter snow-type dirt and film that needed to be washed off. I’m not sure they have the right equipment to do this. Generally however all staff were VERY helpful and courteous.

Gerald TI had an E-Alert that was a mistake but it would have been better to know that when I made the reservation because that could have been a waste of time.
Troy WI had ordered a utility dolly and a furniture dolly weeks before I was to pick up my rental and February 17. When I got to the store to get my truck they told me they had no dollies. So the only thing I could do was to buy one. So I had to pay $80 plus tax for a dolly. This definitely needs to be corrected. I heard the same thing happened to two other people that had ordered dollies and when they got to the store they were none

He was eating chips and went out to go check the unit but started talking to another worker and had to come in and ask what my unit number was again. Ask for the manager information he like Rob. I ask if I would get a refund since I left earlier he like I don’t think so. I said I should due to hasn’t been two weeks. I will not refer anyone to this facility. The employee in office have change since the young lady left and went to the pod side. I have been with the facility for two years and from when first started to now have went down 95%. Horrible place to go and don’t care.

John W | Overall ExperienceThe card access to the storage was always an issue there are people living in there storages it’s very unsafe can easily get rape or hurt cameras are not working and NO ONE REALLY CARES I reported the people living in the storage and I was told that the people living in them has to do what they have to do and that if they were in that situation they would do the same also the items left from people lasted to many days nails in the parking area I had to fix my tires at my expense to much to list.For the price that they charge for these storage at this location is not worth it oh the bathroom is always dirty people bathed in them

After three calls and 14 days of being out of the unit they finally closed out the account. Also a letter with my daughter’s name on the envelope but my name on the letter was sent out. heather w | Online Move InStaff was great. Climate controlled storage and good lighting. Facility secure but perhaps overly so as often access was not easy (using large sliding doors) even with the access card during the day. This may be due to the surrounding area and limited staff. Also facility needs more staff to help keep ahead of maintenance/ clean up. Not horrible but could tell they were short staffed. Think this delays making units available again once the are vacated. Finally only one flat cart for moving items. There were twoatterss carts but only one all purpose flat cart.

I was late paying my rent, and when I went to get a few things out of storage almost 2 weeks later there was an extra lock on my unit. When I asked the person up front why, he said he didn't know because my status was paid in the system. The manager then asked what unit so he could see why, he then says I never got around to it, to take it off. I said but what if I came in after hours? His response was, well you were late paying so I'm late removing the lock. Quite unprofessional and I will never patronize this U-Haul storage facility ever again.

But I was charged because it was in my husband name but his name is on the storage along with mines and my name and number was on the rental of the truck. Haven’t talked to anybody yet but I’m sure the manager is going to take care of it.

When we would explain situations and say hey we have cancer and have been in the hospital we were met with not our problem you need to pay your bill y'all just don't like paying bills or other nasty statements like this. My very favorite was the very last call on the 27th of January when I picked up the phone to answer and before I could say hello Jessica was on the other end mocking me and how she thought the call would go. Our road has been very hard and long and this $94 storage was supposed to ease our minds. Your store made it to where I will never shop U-haul again. As my husband, is a disabled veteran we plan to to a great deal of travel into the years of our retirement. U-haul will not be a part of those plans in anyway.

I had to call the customer support line and the issue still isn’t resolved. Worst experience ever.

I got a notice 2 weeks later that I was late for my payment even though I had already checked out. The associate who I spoke to when I called regarding this matter was very helpful and she got me officially checked out.

Leon County has a face covering ordinance that states that an individual in a business establishment in Leon County must wear a face covering while in that business establishment. A customer also came in w/o a mask, and none of the staff asked that person to go back out and come in with a mask. I spoke to one of the staff persons about this, and he admitted he was aware of the ordinance. He stated that they are in and out all day long, and that the mask is not comfortable. Meanwhile, medical professionals treating COVID-19 victims are wearing masks daily along with additional PPE. Contacting the facility to try to resolve this will not be effective in my opinion, as the manager is likely aware of this and condones this behavior.
