License plate on trailer was bent and every time I opened trailer door, it would get stuck. I was told by manager that if I picked up in Raleigh, I could drop off at any location in wake Forest. Thought that would be convenient. I drove around wake Forest for over an hour stopping at different locations and none of them would take the trailer. Ended up taking it back to location just a few miles north of where I picked it up from. Just a waste of time. Will never do that again.

There was some question about the fuel level at return. I am glad I waited for an attendant to manually check it in at return. I am so glad I took a picture of the fuel level before leaving the lot which was time stamped.

Tony K.Single mom who moved to a new state who knows no one. Prepared for this move accordingly. Store didn't open up until 9:30. I hired movers to help me and they left because I was so late getting back. I called the uhaul Corp to let them know the store wasn't open... I was transferred to 5 diff people who kept saying they couldn't help me. Was refunded $50 but lost $300. The experience was awful and I would never recommend your store. It truly felt like no one cared... I explained my situation to Shelton who opened the store and he said it wasn't his problem and he couldn't help me.

RAFAEL P.Truck was completely out of fuel. I walked to nearby gas station to fill up a small gas can to get the truck driven to the gas station to then add more fuel. Truck had no working turn signals. Truck has transmission failure, continuously slipped between gears and would barely make 40mph. I felt lucky to make it to my destination safely. I had to take back roads to avoid being a hazard on the main roads.

Eunice R.When I arrived at 8AM to pick up the trailer I reserved online there was no one at the desk. There was only one worker on site, and he was in the yard handling other customers. I had to wait 30+ minutes to be helped. This made me late for my appointment with others. Once I was helped the attendant was helpful and was trying his best working alone. He helped me connect the trailer to my vehicle and checked trailer connections, lights, etc. The trailer had cement 'crust' or residue on floor so was not clean. When I returned the trailer the attendant was present to help me and was very courteous and helpful. I"ve rented from this location before. I might try a different location in the future.

It was explained that I should have received a text in which I would have taken pictures and confirmed details. After dropping off the vehicle I went back to my phone and realized there was a text sent I was just not aware I was supposed to perform those steps. While this is an error on my part and both locations were very nice, for someone like me who does not rent often it would have been good to be told that a text was coming and there were steps to perform in advance.

Upon return the website was experience problems and I had trouble uploading pictures to leave the truck. Despite being in the return lane for 20 minutes I was ignore by multiple staff member who were cleaning other trucks.

I asked him if I should leave the pads in the trailer and he said "I guess so. This is only my second day". Several people were waiting inside and visibly irritated with the clerks who seemed to be struggling with the computers. I was helped but did not get a receipt until later via email. Didn't feel comfortable that my equipment had been. Checked in properly.
John S.I’ve been a customer for several years, this experience has been one of the worst, I was rudely told I didn’t qualify for a free month of storage, “you can buy it or not, but your not getting it for free” when I picked up the truck it was completely empty, had no gas, he did not correctly mark my paperwork, he marked it as if it had a quarter of a tank of gas, again I said hey this truck is empty, no gas “you can go next door and put gas in it, you gotta do it anyway” even though the website said I qualified for promotions, I didn’t receive them, it quickly became “ at participating locations “ even though the location I chose was a “ participating “ location, I could not get the storage unit open, I sat on hold for 45 minutes before someone came and assisted me…this move has already been difficult, but my experience with uhal made it 10x worse.

By then, the store closed so was unable to return a lock for a refund. Attendant on duty was cordial and helpful overall but some disconnects with the units & locks.

Then I had to sit in a big line when all I needed was to pay. If that wasnt enough they're payment system would not take my credit card which I first paid without a problem . Counter lady was rude and obnoxious trying to say my card was declined. When my card was fine but they're payment system is faulty and without proper connections. So this particular UHaul on Capital Blvd gets a zero from me.

On Sunday I found the young man that helped me was not overly friendly and didn’t communicate enough. As my there was confusion around my storage reservation, he had to contact his manager (who was not working). Of course this was not a problem, but it would have been less frustrating for me if the associate would have just communicated more information about his dialogue with his Manager. It took well over an hour to checkin.

It took us a long time to return the uHaul truck we rented, because we finally finished unloading it and the office hours had just ended. The app would not work on my phone at all, so rather than having someone right there that could help, we were on hold for forty minutes with the uHaul company. One we finally got through to someone, we had a forty minute phone call with a representative just to do this process of returning the truck. It was really hard to go through that after being totally exhausted from loading and unloading the truck that day. Overall great customer service, clean place, we were happy. I just suggest to staff one of the good folks that works there for a later shift until 9 or 10 pm.

You don't know this but I'm moving and in the process of looking for a home. Hopefully that search only takes a month or two but with this market it could take up to 6. My stuff will be in storage until my search is done. I cancelled my unit with your company and went to a competitor because of the poor customer service. Your staff was friendly, but they didn't actually complete my transaction. Seriously the basics weren't done and it cost you whatever the final tally would have been for the allotted time I end up needing a storage unit. Your facility is literally across the street from my current home and I'm gladly driving the extra 10minutes up capital to Public Storage just so I don't have to deal with the hassle of your facility. I don't usually offer unwarranted advice but I will here: take 5 minutes and ensure that each customer transaction is actually complete and you'll avoid situations like this in the future. It would have taken all of 2 minutes to remove the lock off of my unit and I'd happily be depositing my stuff there now. Also getting your customers names right is probably important. My name is Joshua James Foots and it was entered as Joshua James in the system. Not a big deal in my book but honestly the first step to establishing a good relationship is knowing the correct name. Especially when I give you my government issued license. I wish you the best and hope you improve so your future customers are better served.

The gentleman helping me said "I'll be sure to get the lock off in a few more minutes" I replied "Great I'll be back tonight to move in". I show up at 8:30ish with my friends to help me unload and the lock is still there. Office is closed, called customer service and they didn't have a phone number for anyone locally. It takes all of 30 seconds to take a lock off of a door. So as far as "move in" goes perhaps once I actually get moved in it'll be nice. Right now this is just a bad experience that is still unresolved.
