jerry aI needed the truck to move some large furniture at the time I booked it. The app made the process take more than half an hour. I ended up going inside and having the front desk people help with my rental. The truck had broken window roller handles, but the most frustrating part was the fact that once we got to our location and were ready to load the furniture, we realized the truck had no ramp, which was the reason we went with U-Haul in the first place. I submitted a complaint. I got a $14 refund from the $100 total. Disappointing.

bryan rYour truck reached 100,000 miles while driving from Port Richey Fl. To Centerport Ny. That was fun. When we reserved the 15 ft truck we were told that the truck has a 110 outlet. We however did not asked again when we pick up the reserved truck. The 1999 truck did not have an outlet a bite disappointing.

I reserved a pickup but when I got there I explained I would need a bigger truck due to having to move large furniture, They accommodated me with a larger 15 foot moving truck. Only issue was the person that assisted me was somewhat short, like it was a bother, other than that the experience was better than most.
Rodney PVery convenient, I set up my appointment online they called me to confirm they have all the parts ready I dropped the vehicle on time and almost 2 hours later the installation was completed I asked for a quick check checking the lights was working and everything happened very quick. I also checked the dealership before and they told me should be around 2,500 and with with Uhaul I payed I little bit more than $500

Heath gAll the staff from both centers of pick up in FL and drop off in CT were great. Having worked in customer service myself for eight years in FL I was very impressed with the friendliness of all involved. Waiting in line for service was painless because it showed me how busy everyone was and was worth the weight. Everyone was professional, but put their own personality into the conversations which was very refreshing. It was almost like we were friends and not just some guy renting a truck and trailer for a national brand. Kudos to everyone I dealt with. They took off a lot of pressure from my large move and it was very much appreciated.

RAY GI went to U-Haul store today to see if I could find an odd dimension box for my plasma tv. Nicolee saw me walking around trying to figure out if I could combine 2 of these or 3 of those, would I be able to rig a box to protect my favorite tv 950 miles. She came over and asked if she could help me. I explained what I was trying to do and noticed I had written the dimensions of my tv on a piece of paper. She asked if she could take that paper and walked into the warehouse portion of that U-Haul store. Imagine my surprise when she came out and showed me a box that was almost a perfect fit for my tv!! I was thrilled! Talk about going the extra mile…she also helped me load it into my small hatchback car! Her positivity, professionalism and attentiveness was refreshing. Nicolee demonstrated U-Haul’s commitment to customer service and I deeply appreciate it! Because of her friendly and can-do attitude, I will check with U-Haul first to get what I need!

Myself and my emergency contact got harassed with letters through the mail for three months after each employee told me they would take care of it. I never once used the unit and was threatened repeatedly about questioning my stuff. It was a horrible experience.

Marjorie S | Overall ExperienceI reserved this truck a week in advance st the U-Haul just blocks from my house. U-Haul accepted the reservation. The day before pickup, U-Haul moved my pickup 28 miles north, to Port Richey. I complained immediately but Traffic would not adjust my pickup location. On the day of pickup, as I drove to the location 28 miles north, which took me over 45 minutes, and when I was literally 5 minutes from the Port Richey location, I received notification the U-Haul had AGAIN moved my pickup - south to Bradenton Florida. From my home in Clearwater, Bradenton is well over an hour away on an given day. On a Friday afternoon, it definitely would have taken me 90 minutes minimum. And now I was 45 minutes further north. So well over two MORE hours of travel time in heavy traffic. I went to thw Port Richey location and spoke to the team there. They were very helpful but had only one 20 foot truck available for my rental, but it was “obligated” to another reservation ( I heard that client’s call - he was coming from St Pete which is 90 minutes from Port Richey (but only 45 minutes from Bradenton - I think your Traffic masochists were playing games - they should have given the Port Richey truck to me and the Bradenton truck to him!!!) In the end, I stepped down to a 15 foot truck and made do. Now I need to rent another truck because U-Haul failed to honor my reservation. And I am over budget because I had to travel 28 miles out of my way. Why don’t you do a better job of traffic control??

gerald mThe truck seemed old to begin with. When turned off it wouldn’t turn back on had to call for help to get it turned on for them to give you steps to try. My 17 year old son almost fell because the handrail in the back was broken as well when he grabbed it to come down it came down and he almost busted his face until he caught himself. Not happy at all about it. Went to take it back and the manager seemed like she was medicated and gave me $20 off. I think I should have been compensated fully for the inconvenience and the fact my son had to catch himself from busting his face because of their equipment was not checked correctly or fixed. The truck did not start again had to have someone jump it just so I can return it and didn’t turn it off while pumping the gas because it would not turn on without a jump. Not happy with this truck or how they dealt with it.

The problem is this after so long this issue becomes neglect and should have been taken care of. How do you ignore an issue like this and let it go for so long. I posted pic's of my belongings and the roof. I appreciate your understanding and willingness to meet me half way, but you didn't. I lost a lot because someone didn't take the buildings roof leak serious.

I only have two complaints, one being the amount of transients that live in the area. There is a public bathroom in the front of the storage building when you enter and many times, I’ve seen transients and homeless, shower, and cleaning themselves in the bathroom, my other complaint is about the cat urine odor that was coming from several units near mine. I feel if the odor of the units being stored by a another tenant are so bad that it’s polluting the air in the entire building that tenants property should be asked to be removed.

Then the 1st thing when brought to your attention was "you don't have insurance" without knowing or checking, but when pressed about it you provided the information to contact the insurance company. Mind you also, you don't include any details on your monthly emails as to the contract or what one is paying for at the facility. So, going back to the original paperwork I did have insurance. So there is that thankfully but don't store anything on the second floor of the Jasmine Lakes U-Haul in Port Richey FL. Looking at the ceiling there are rust stains everywhere which indicates it leaks like a strainer.

I showed up and was told there weren't any available on the first floor and I had to use a storage room on the second floor at $5 more. (it's air conditioned, I didn't need) but I had no option. My access card was not valid so I set off the alarm a couple of times. I could not stick around and have it validated because my RV arrived, I had to level it and start my journey back to Canada. I should not have to pay extra and will have to deal with it come Oct. The staff were kind and courteous.

Brandi G | Online Move InAll though I had safety with my items at this uhaul location and had my belongings there for 2+ years, the staff at this location was rude, unprofessional and lied about debits to my wife's credit card without our authorization or signature. The reason is because they applied the reoccurring charges on their own. This is troublesome and illegal! I will not use them again and the recommendation to friends and family just won't happen! I asked how this happened after we were declined at the pharmacy for medication for a life threatening issue that needed a prescription that was extremely expensive but uhaul illegally charged our card without our knowledge. I made multiple complaints to corporate that are in the file and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it!! Uhaul had the opportunity to make this right with us and chose not to do so! We had to argue and threaten to call corporate to have the charges reversed even after they admitted that they had done this on their own and intentionally did it to take a payment when we never set up reoccurring payments. We weren't offered any discounts or apologies and were treated as though we were the ones that had done this illegal transaction. That is bad for business and unacceptable!! We will go elsewhere in the future for our storage needs! DON'T USE UHAUL!

If you are going to be in management and put your phone number on a card and on the bldg then you should be prepared to answer your phone. However, when I had an urgent matter he REFUSED to answer the phone calls or texts. I had to call UHaul directly to get assistance which turned into about a 2 day situation that could have been resolved in 30 minutes. He needs to receive management training and how a manager should behave.

samantha b | Overall ExperienceI had the worst experience ever. I met with Jesse Hart, who was extremely helpful. I initially requested a 10'x15 unit weeks before my storage date. They were none when I went to get my key and sign the paperwork. I had to end up getting two units which were not even next to each other. Later that afternoon with a full truck of furniture, and 3 men that I was paying hourly to assist me move, I went back and met with Josh who showed me about the alarm system. Upon dragging 3 dollys of furniture up to the second floor, one of the units had a padlock already on it. I walked back over to the office and told Josh. He attempted to call his Manager, without any luck. He tried numerous times to reach the previous renter, again no luck. Meanwhile, the men were waiting with dollys full of furniture on the second floor,, and the other men had already unloaded the remainder.of the furniture off the truck and was waiting for the empty dolls to load up to take the furniture up to the second floor. I ended up having to reload all the furniture back on the truck and going to another location who still did not have the size unit I requested, but did have a little bigger unit than the one at Jasmine and Little Road. We were hot, frustrated, and wasted at least an hour waiting on Josh trying to accommodate us, to no avail. What should have been a fairly easy move, turned put to be a nightmare. I had to pay for the insurane for the unit a second time at the new facility as they did not refund it at the original location. I was made promises for an extra month free due to the difficulty I had experienced at the first location when renting the Uhaul truck. The young man Anthony at the second location where I ended up was extremely helpful and kind, but could not keep any promises that Jesse at the Jasmine location had promised earlier in the day when I went to sign the paperwork. I ended up having to pay the three men two additional hours because of the wasted time at the Jasmine location because they unloaded the truck, had to re load and wait around until a new unit was found at the new location on 19 and SR 52. Then drive over there and unload and move the furniture again for the second time. I spent frustrating hours trying to get everything sorted out. I will never use the Jasmine location, nor will I recommend it. You have a very, very unhappy customer.

We had pretty much washed our hands of Uhaul and would never use them or recommend them ever again. Then we met Jesse at the Jasmine Lake location in New Port Richey, Florida and his staff, they've totally restored Uhauls reputation with us. I would recommend this location to anyone. Customer Service beyond excellent. Cleanliness WOW, outstanding. Even though we had a horrible time getting our stuff from Michigan to Florida, due to the Michigan location, we will however use Jasmine Lakes Uhaul for ALL of our storage and moving needs in the future. All the problems we had in Michigan Jesse addressed them even though it had nothing to do with his location and that shows corporate leadership skills. He never once blamed anyone he just made it right and apologized over and over again. Another thing we noticed was the respect the employees had for eachother and management, that is rare in today's society. Thank You Jesse, Kevin, and the Jasmine Lakes team for going above and beyond and restoring our faith in customer service. I hope every business we deal with down here in Florida is like this.
