My move out date was 12/6/23 !!!! They drafted my account on 12/4/23, so I paid $80.00 for the entire month of December & the unit was emptied on the 6th... I reached out about a refund but no one wants to answer that question or call me back!! 😡

I have to use a unit often.... The unit leaked and ruined half of my stuff, which is extremely expensive, then because I was moving out, got slapped with a lock and had to pay another month! With a late fee! I've used Terry's 3 times but never again!

Dropping the truck off was a little confusing because there is another location a block away with the same name. However, I was able to reach someone via phone quickly and confirm the correct location.

Rental representative was very polite and helpful. However go rent at this location you have to go to the grocery store 100 yards from the uhaul storage lot and rent the Uhaul through the grocery store customer service desk, and hopefully they are not too busy with grocery store buisness. Then you walk back to the storage lot to get the truck or trailer and hope there is no issue that requires another walk back to the store. Since the Uhaul vehicles and trailer are kept at a self storage lot that has an indoor office, there should be a dedicated Uhaul representative there. Customer should not have to rent from the grocery store 100 yards away. Additionally the 5x8 trailer I rented was a 1990 model and had rotting wood tie down rails inside that would break when we tried to secure items to them. Lug nuts to wheels were rusted on. Glad we didnt need to change a tire. Otherwise no issues.

Had a hard time getting the self turn in to load but that's not a uhaul problem that's a cell phone problem. Other than that everything was fine. Vehicle turned in to a decent and secure location

They need a clearly marked as to where to return the uhaul. The lady checking the uhaul needs way more training. She took forever.

The truck was clean, but when I started it, the check engine light came on and stayed on. Onsite representative called the owner and said because it's Sunday he couldn't do anything about it. So we were screwed. I had to go to an auto parts store to buy a scanner to diagnose the problem myself. Then I drove it to a proper U-Haul Center for them to scan and reset code.

The drop down feature above the wheel well of the trailer was not shown to us and we had to climb out the window of the car after loading onto the trailer. It wasn't until we dropped the trailer off at the receiving location that we were shown how to do this. Now we know. No more Dukes of Hazard moments! It was funny but for someone not small or limber like myself it could've caused some real issues.

I ordered blankets and a dolly-they had neither. I haul changed my pickup time and truck size without my knowledge-had to drive an additional 30 miles to find a truck. Uhaul rep on phone was very helpful

You have to go to the grocery down the road to check out the truck, which no one told us so my son-in-laws and son was having to use even more time. One minute there were no dollys and then there were. Was told if the truck was turned in early some of the rental fee would be refunded. Haven't seen a receipt yet.

Uhaul trucks/trailers are kept at one location & check-in office at another. Also, no one knew how to hook up auto transport. Luckily I had used this transport before & knew how to hook it up.

Great experience! One way commercial rental from Pensacola. Got an awesome credit, got the truck and trailer parked exactly where they wanted it. Maybe change the name of the location on Uhaul since "all business done at grocery store" kinda throws people off when they pull up to the location and find a sign on the door afterwards.

They gave us the wrong truck which then caused the turn in location not to be able to check it in properly which lead to harassing phone calls all day from a 770 number. To end up being hung up on and threatened that I didn't turn a truck in that I turned in 2 days earlier. This is a long story made short. Horrible experience

I received an email confirmation with my pickup date and time. When I arrived at that location, it said it was open till five (I was there at four) and no one was there. I called several times no one answered. I called the 800 number and they told me I needed to go to a different location than what was on my email. I went to the new location and they told me I had to go to yet a third location to pick up my truck. It took several hours to finally get it. The lady told me they would extend my drop off time but they didn't change my drop off time. So they then charged me $50 additional for returning the truck late when they caused all the chaos and had me driving all over the place, using my time and gas.

Drop off location is listed as a 24/7 drop off location. I returned my truck early and got charged $40 for an extra day...? This makes no sense. My rental period ended at 11pm and I returned the truck before 10pm on the day it was due. It seems as though Uhaul is using this fee to avoid having to reimburse me for unused mileage cost on the equipment. Not satisfied. Will not recommend this location to anyone.

We used the 24/7 mobile service to drop off the truck as well and had troubles here also. The problem had nothing to do with the location but the website and call center. The website would not allow me to complete the drop off instructions, saying there was an error and to call customer service. After waiting 45 minutes on hold in a parking lot at 10 at night I finally tried the chat option. The rep told me I couldn't complete the drop off instructions and the location would charge me $20 to check in the equipment and she couldn't waive the fee. Thankfully, when I called the location, they were extremely helpful and understanding and waived it once I explained the situation. To sum it up, the locations need to be vetted better to ensure the locations will be run professionally and the customer service department needs to be more efficient.

The representative that helped when I picked up the uhaul, I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Terrible attitude and horrible customer service. When I dropped it off, the representative was helpful and nice.

There was no equipment available that worked, except for the one we got which was not what we wanted.Customer service at Uhaul and Terry's was crazy when renting, WE should have left and gone to Home Depot to rent. We do not normally complain but this was terrible... The Folks At Terry's were very nice but it is not their fault it is UHAUL. We have one more move to make and we will not be using Uhaul. The Uhaul in Tampa, Florida was great but here in Alabama it is poor. MUST BE UPPER MANAGMENT.... Making their Bonuses. Nothing for you to do....but run away from this place...

The folks in Smith Station, Alabama were friendly and courteous. I and my family, were very impressed with the guy running the place where we returned our truck, in Knoxville, TN. VERY professional, knowledgeable and helpful to us. He seemed genuine and patient with customers. Give him a raise ! ??

the location sent me to a location at the corner. said they did not handle rentals. the cashier thought i was talking a shampoo machine. Grocery store location? Worth of all, U HAUL sent me an hour past my vehicle pickup location to pickup a tow dolly. after i told them the locations i need the dolly from. Poor Job U HAUL

When I picked up trailer it took almost a hour to even get the unit and the attendant did not come out side to even check to see even if I had the proper hook up for the lights or if the tow hitch was ok or anything...She said for me to go look for the trailer and get it.I did not ask for anyone to hook it up.But they should of made sure the lights worked. And I had the right hookup. The trailer did ok.

My husband went to the location given and when he arrived, there was a sign to go to another location. We drove 90 miles round trip to pick up a truck that was needed for a move just over 100 miles away. Seems a bit ridiculous to have to travel that far to rent a truck. My husband tried to confirm w/ the UHaul attendant that the round trip mileage to pick up the truck would not be part of our 128 mile agreement w/ no avail. The attendant was not helpful at ALL, not very competent about the leasing procedure nor able to answer any questions. Next time it seems it would be more efficient to rent a truck round trip rather than have to go thru this hassle of securing a truck. Still waiting to see what our final charge will be for this rental.
