Was told I could only have truck for 5 hours and paid for 24 hrs. No dolly or pads available that were ordered. Whole process to rent was insane. U-Haul employee could not figure out why the on the phone registry would not work. Overall experience was poor, and I will do all I can to avoid U-Haul in the future and will let others know.
James KerrWhen I ordered truck they told me it was 29.95 a day, but at pick up it was 59.90.they said they had to charge me two days???? I tried to question but the young lady said it is just what it is. I picked truck up and returned 24 hours later. 1 day. If I wasn't desperate for truck rental I would have walked away . I am owed a refund for second day charge. Who can I call?
Michelle SchmidtSomeone had hauled Xmas trees and it had not been vacuumed or swept or blown out. We had to do that to move our household goods into it, which increased our time on the project.
Eric Wallacerequire the rental to be returned with at 1/4 tank of gas sooo the next customer don't have to immediately drive additional miles to get gas because they are afraid of running out of gas. That was my very unpleasant experience with this rental the UHAUL truck after starting was was under an 1/8 gallons of gas nearly on E tank of gas. Very scary athough there was a gas credit of $12 that was not enough to get it to 1/4 tank of gas.
Charlene JonesWe were not told about the drop off points and how that worked within the contract and had to drive quite a distance back to drop uhaul off at pick up location. We were told we could call the location we wanted to drop off at once we reached our new destination. Instead we had to bring it all the way back and pay so much more in gas n mileage plus the inconvenience of personal gas n mileage for someone to follow back n forth.

thomas firmentAfter making reservations and to show up and find out that the truck was rented out from under me. Then when I get to my storage facility which is a Uhaul location they want me to turn the truck in another state. That's right I was in NC. and told to drop off in SC.. After dropping off I was called up by rep. at Uhaul that the truck was not swept out and there was going to be 25.00 fine. I got there and he wanted me to rent a broom for 5.00. Would I recommend Uhaul to a friend. Would you.

Actually WAY more helpful than calling the 800# who kept telling me that a store was 3 miles away when in fact its about 60 mi away (I live in North beach, MD and they kept trying to give me a location in Randallstown, MD - not close at all). I'll continue to call this location directly.

Clay AllisonU Haul has to develop a policy that deters renters from disregarding their return times. I rented a truck a week in advance to be picked up on a Saturday morning. Due to the fact that trucks that were rented during the week were not returned on time, I was unable to get a truck until Monday morning. I was on a strict schedule and this delay complicated my moving plans. I do however want to compliment the regional office for trying to get me a truck, even a larger one for the same price, but the theme seemed to be people did not return their trucks in a timely manner As they canvassed the entire county. This definitely puts a damper on my wanting to rent from U Haul on a weekend in the future. U Haul needs more trucks and a strict policy for returning them in a timely manner.

Tim GallaudetYour company lied about the mileage you took $77.87 from me. It was not explain to me that I had a limit on the miles. Poor customer service all the way around. A refund would be the best thing your company can do. I would not recommend uhaul to no one. A brush of lairs. He gave me a truck with the headlight out I called your road service dummy talking to me while the recording telling about promos. I WANT MY MONEY BACK I PAID TO MUCH. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Armando MartinezOff the top of my head, there really isn't much to be improved upon, unless you are talking about better communication between U-Haul Inc. and the various retailers that provide U-Haul to customers.
Sabrina Barbeenot sure if I was charged for a full day rental on a 15 ft truck, I had the truck for approx 6 hrs and was charged $ 137.00, which seems like a charge for a 24hrs. rental. The truck had to be back for another customer early next morning.
Walter WeakleyI was scheduled to pick up the 15' truck in Edgewater but a customer did not return the truck on time. Edgewater assisted in finding a replacement truck which was appreciated, but this caused me to be late for a previously planned event. I have never had this problem before and hope to never experience it again.
