I rent U-Hauls a lot and have never had the level of excellence and ease picking them up and dropping them off as with the Shifters location.

The uaul truck was clean and worked well. However the people checking the truck in and out were rude and not helpful. I have rented several uhauls before and never experienced rudeness like this. Will not use this location again.

Hassle to drop off. The mobile drop off was a hassle and had to be on the phone for 30+ mins just to make sure it registered in your system.

The lock wouldn’t open. When we called for help the Shifters person said they gave you the wrong code, yelled a phone number at us and hung up. He hung up on us one more time after yelling the 813 phone number again. He refused to answer the phone after that. We stood in the parking lot in the lightening and rain with four kids including two kids with autism and sensory processing disorder who were physically unable to continue waiting in the car while we tried for at least 45 minutes to pick up our truck. We had to cancel our move and help that we had planned for the weekend. We will never use UHaul or Shifters again and will advise everyone we know about our experience with both companies.

I can’t understand why the email to my reservation states return to the location on a certain date but gives no time but on the contract it has a time. Very misleading so when I return at 6 instead of 1 I get charged a $40 fee.

Shifters is a transmission shop, not an office style location. It was a little dirty but that is/was to be expected. I used the same trailer twice.they held it for my return trip.

I reserved a 10’ truck for November 3 at 930 to help a family member Whom lives 11/2 hours from me well got to the uhaul where I reserved the truck I picked this spot cause it was the closest to the house where they where moving from when I got to the uhaul I waited for 20 min to get waited just for the lady to tell me you have to go to another location I told her I don’t know why my reservation is for this location she said the other location has the truck and it’s just down the road. Well another 20 to 25 min I got to the other location and was told when I got there I have to wait because the person that rents the trucks was out shopping. It was 1130 when I got my truck tired and frustrated by this point. I’ll be buying my new home soon and will moving everything myself I’ll be calling rider or Penske. I normally don’t complain but I hate when people waste my time that morning really sucked plus because of uhaul I had to sit there and listen to my wife bitchen about uhaul and the poor service nagging women are the worst thanks.

Man tried to cancel my reservation. Made the transaction difficult. Was rude and angry. Like doing this was unwanted and a bother. Truck was parked in tight spot. Offered no assistance.

Should let customers know that there is a check-in process on the phone you're supposed to do before leaving. I had no idea, and was charged based on their last record of mileage, which was inaccurate. I moved within my zip code and didn't even exceed ten miles of driving all day. I was charged for probably 30+ miles because I didn't know to record the mileage in the truck before leaving.

The motorcycle trailer I rented was covered with oil. Not clean at all.

There was a notice on dashboard that right rear tire needed air. I drove from location to office, a few miles, and by the time I arrived the tire was flat as a flitter. I did not use the van to transport anything. Suggestion: Have some restraint when dolly is placed in the back to keep it from rolling around and flying around in the back. Upon arrival, I called the location where van was rented and they could not do anything concerning UHaul. I called UHaul who provided number for roadside assistance. They also said I could use my personal roadside assistance even though I had purchased insurance which included roadside assistance. I would appreciate reimburse due to not using the van for transporting boxes to storage unit.

After we left we noticed taht the driver door was not closing properly. It has to be closed from outside really hard.

The location was fine. The overall experience with u haul was horrible. Starting off the website for reservations was put together by an intern with no web based training. Then I go to the first location to pick up the truck I ordered and the site has no one there. They decided not to come to work that day. Then u-haul gets me another site and it was ok but the experience as a whole was a nightmare. Hopefully I will never have to use your service again.

Just awful. Look for a better moving service. I guarantee it will be better than this greedy company trying to squeeze you of every penny it possibly can. I drove to the dropoff location it stated only to find out they changed it without notification. I will never use this company again. I only used it in the first place because I have never moved cross country before, and I am not impressed at all. I feel like I was charged 3x more than what I experienced. Do not use this service. I would rate 0 stars if I could.

Wait times at the counter are not acceptable. Staff is not polite or considerate. Will not recommend this small shop to anyone. Was charged an additional full day for returning 5 minutes late. So inconsiderate.

They charged me double for The trailer and then told me I was 20 min late so charged me for a entire extra day. Unwilling to work with me and didn’t know what they where doing on the software and took forever. Manager told me he would fix it and then didn’t and the lady working told me he wasn’t there so...... Will never ever rent from U-Haul again. Terrible terrible customer service! Will tell everyone what happened because they didn’t resolve anything for me!

Easy to pull in location to drop trailer and pull straight through. I dropped after hours, approximately midnight so there was nobody there. My trailer was checked in promptly first thing this morning before 8:45AM.

The location I was sent to drop off the trailer was a total of 40 miles away from my house. Nobody was at the place. Your app took for ever because of low cell services caused by the storm. There is probably 20 U-Haul locations within a 10 mile radius of my house and Iwas sent to one that was far out and not open!!!!
