Our return place was changed during the time we had the truck. When we got to the place to drop off it wasn’t opened. We couldn’t get the appl to work. Luckily while we were on the phone to the number listed on the front door a man walked around front of the building. Turns out he was the husband of the woman who ran the place and who my husband was on the phone talking to. Turns out they don’t take returns there according to the husband you actually had to take the truck to a different location about a mile away even though there was a truck sitting there ( this place was a storage unit place). The woman called someone and then called back and said we could leave the truck there and either give the key to her husband or leave it in the drop box. Her husband was going to take the other truck to the other site and would leave ours at this site . Then they had the nerve to charge us a $5 cleaning fee when the truck was as clean as it was when we picked it up that morning. I think we’re going to give U haul a rest in using it, this was the worse experience we’ve ever had with them.

I gave 2 weeks notice, dropped off the keys, cleared and swept the storage unit and then was advised that the next months payment had been taken from my account. I called and was told it would be reversed and it’s been two days and the only thing that happened is the payment that should NOT have been taken from my account was and the credit to my account has NOT been made yet. It doesn’t matter how clean or well lit or friedndly the staff is if they are unable to handle the accounting end. Very unhappy.

Douglas RThe stickers are completely ridiculous. It took 30 minutes to inspect the van that was already covered in stickers and then have the attendant come out to apply the stickers to existing damage . Many of the areas with damage had no sticker and we were told the stickers don’t stick to those surfaces. Then what was the point? Way too much time spent on this before getting on the road. The entire time we’re on the road we had no idea what damage made by others that we may be held accountable for. It was like pulling teeth to get a clear answer. We just headed out and cross our fingers.
Philippa RMy only remark is I went to the office around 1015 and knocked on the door nobody answered it didn't appear that anybody was there, I waited for about 15 minutes and a woman came out from the back of the office. I got the van and did what I have to do, and when I returned in about an hour again there was nobody at the office.

Michael HCombination rear view mirrors may be useful for professional truck drivers, but for the renter they present confusing multiple images. I certainly felt so. Keeping it simple may be a safer way to go.
BARLOW POffer a flat rate for same day in town rental. UHaul's 19.95 promo is disingenuous, if not misleading.
