An utter dump with sullen, incomprehensible staff. Had I known ahead of time what a place this location was, I would have rather gone all the way to Abbotsford, just to avoid this gross experience.

Staff was courteous and professional. Attendant offered to check lights on the trailer. They were able to modify the reservation for me to save money. A good option on the south side of Chilliwack.

Staff does not demonstrate north american standards of customer service. could be friendlier and more cooperative. For example, a staff member conistently and repeatedly waited on convenience store customers despite my being ahead of them. Staff siad I needed to wait till the dedicated U-haul employee came in (his dad?), and when the man did come in, the same (first) person ended up taking care of everything anyway.

Battery keep dieing and having to jumped by passer bys.. first truck we received got stuck. Got second one and had to yard it out ourselfs as the lot owner said it was a gravel driveway and not there issue to have it plowed as they didn't want to wreck there gravel... honestly.. 0/10 would not recommend uhaul to any friends or family.. as we do have another move in the near future I think we ll find an alternative moving truck company.

Called roadside assistance to get it open and never had anyone get back to us or contact us at all. Ended up using another company even though U-Haul still charged us despite us not using their product. Go with literally any other company. U-Haul is the worst.

It was pretty easy to deal with Uhaul overall

Agreement kept changing, eventually ending up getting the OK to drop at original location, but then could not check out using the app because the location was incorrect. Kept getting text messages to specify a drop off date, rental still showed as active in the app after 2 days. Used the chat function to sort it out, but was overcharged by $30. Second time in a month with an awful experience. Unacceptable.

CURTIS H.I was charged for a 2 day rental. The employee dispatching the trailer I rented made an error and confirmed the trailer was a one way but upon returning the trailer at a different location they informed me the trailer was set as in town. I was not made aware of this at the time of renting. I was threatened with a $500 fee for dropping off at a different location. The employees made no effort to help understand that u-haul made a mistake and in the end they charged me for a 2 day rental. I should not be paying for this error that was made by an employee.
Monika O.We had to drove 1.5 hours one way to pick up the truck, when it should have been 15 minutes away. Then we drove an hour back to our home just to get started loading. After we unloaded, we had to drive over an hour to take the truck back. The drop off was supposed to be to a location 20 minutes from our house. All of that extra driving cost us approximately $125 extra in fuel. The staff at your Matsqui location and at the Yarrow location were amazing. They were business like, understanding and helpful. They told us that they deal every day with complaints from customers who are not able to get the truck where they were supposed to get the truck. you really need to do something about the ability to relocate vehicles to where your customers require them. Your rental fees were reasonable, the vehicle was great, Your dealers were great, but your ability to provide the truck where it is needed is really lacking.

U-Haul already knew where they were going to force me to return the truck and blankets and it was again 10 miles away. Again, this is just plain wrong, deceptive and dishonest, and has convinced me that I can never trust U-Haul. Sure, the reservation site says U-Haul may assign a different pick-up or drop-off location. But given how I was just misled twice by bogus locations, forget it. I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone.

Doug F.I recently rented a truck twice and I am not at all happy with Uhaul. Not the brokers I rented from but Uhaul corporate. Twice I was charged the Full amount for a daily rental and BOTH TIMES I was only allowed to have use of the truck for 8hrs. THAT IS NOT A DAY. I PAID FOR A DAYS USE I EXPECTED USE FOR A FULL DAY. Technically I WANT AND EXPECT a refund for 2/3 of each of my two rentals. I was only allowed use of the truck for 1/3rd of a day I should only have to pay 1/3rd of the day rate. Both times I was left short and didn't get everything done I needed to. A day rental to me is 24hrs 1 day NOT 8hrs

Absolutely terrible customer service at both pick up and drop off locations and on the phone, and the truck was in dangerous condition.

ROSS H.I'm not mad at this location in general just at uhaul. My quote was $39.99 for the 20 foot truck and after kms was just under $180 and that was also adding extra miles. I was supposed to pick up my truck at 8am. I work night shift and get off at 6:30. My location to pick up was at 44322 Yale rd. I got off work and just before I left to go get my truck I had an email saying that my pick up time was changed to 3:30pm. I emmediatly got sick as I had movers at the house waiting. So I called and the woman said sorry the truck you were supposed to get got stolen so we had to move your time to 3:30. So now I had to pay the movers for nothing, take an extra day off work because there was no way I could move all my stuff in at a allowable hour at my new place. I said well i dont want to get screwed because now i already am paying for movers that did nothing ( and yes i get it that is beyond their control) The woman on the phone told me not to worry because they would definitely keep the 3:30pm truck for me FOR SURE 100%. I showed up at 3:30 and she said we don't have you here to pick up a truck. I was furious at this point. I said you talked to me yesterday on the phone remember, she said oh ya our truck got stolen. I said ya and you told me at 3:30pm you would 100% have a truck for me. She shook her head and said did traffic get ahold of you (whoever that is) and I said all I got was a text with a link which showed a pick up time of 3:30 at this location Again guaranteed. She apologized and said she would call traffic 🙄 ( still no clue what that is). She then said they had a truck out in Langley for me. WHAT!!! I'm moving from abbotsford to chilliwack...what happened to my truck here. She said wait and see what they can do. She told me they could give me a 26 foot truck in yarrow. Then said don't worry you will get $50 credit.So I had to drive over to yarrow. So now again I'm paying for movers to wait at my house. When I brought the truck back I made sure the gas was at the same level, cleaned it and they ripped my off. Yes they did give me the $50 dollar credit (which I might add did not even cover the extra kms to go to yarrow to pick up and drop off the truck) they charged me $79.99 for the rental of the truck. I only wanted a 20ft for $39.99 as advertised. To charge me more for something I didn't order is ridiculous even after having to go to somewhere out of the way and pay for kms. All around its was a nightmare. I had a quote of $212 with another truck and wished I took it because paying almost $300 with such a big runaround costed me dearly.

I showed up, that truck was broken. They told me I could only to a massive truck, but it couldn't be a one way… I drove it 1 hr back home, but it couldn't fit in my complex, had to turn around and drive the hour back and return it… did not use the truck was charged for 2 days. Lorne L.We pre-booked a truck nearly a week in advance for a self serve pick up. The day of our move we arrived, checked in and the keys for the truck were not left in the lock box. We needed to go all the way back home and come back 2 hours later. Not only wasting our time for moving but gas as well. When returning the truck, I was still billed for the full amount, even though the representative I spoke to that morning said I would receive a $50 credit on my bill for the massive inconvenience.
