The plastic barrier makes it difficult to communicate with the clerk who's accent also made it difficult to communicate. When I returned the truck and was finalizing the rental, the clerk claimed that I had agreed to Insurance when I had not. The clerk did not ask me if I wanted insurance when I was picking up the vehicle. The ordering/reserving of the truck is confusing. The order was changed. I originally booked a truck from a location that was close to where we were moving, so the pick up and return would be convenient and then U-haul sent me a notification that the pick up location was changed, making it inconvenient and a greater expense. This is unreasonable. I have always viewed U-haul in a positive way. Now, this experience has change my view of U-haul. I am not likely to use U-haul in the future and I will be sharing this experience. In the ratings above, in the "Was the equipment clean and well maintained?", I said "No", because the truck box had not been swept out before I picked up the truck and the engine belts were squealing the entire trip. I swept out the box before I returned the truck, the same courtesy should have been extended to me.

I noticed that the retailer was open ( it was just before 8 am). The employee was extremely friendly & helpful. He checked me out manually. The staff at this location was great, the vehicle was fine, but don’t use the online p/ service. It might let you down when you need it most.

I was sent to a different location to pick up a different truck since your customer didn’t return on time, which delayed me over an hour and added to my trip 14 miles, which was horrible as it increased the charge and the fuel needed to be refilled. All that not to mention at one point i was told that there’s no truck available at all. Horrible, I seek to get refund and would not recommend it to anyone.

Once I got there the clerk did not have my reservation confirmed on file or the 2 dollies I ordered even after confirming with someone the day before. I had to then drive to the Clark road location to pick up 2 dollies delaying my move an hour and a half. The online check in did not save me anytime at all.

I understand it takes some time to do the paperwork when dropping off a U-Haul that he should not have been stuck here to help others and let them before me. (He had another register going at the same time with a woman working) He also tried to charge me for extra gas as when I picked up today, I was told to take a picture of the gas gauge because it was less than what was on the paperwork. I brought it back to match PERFECTLY IDENTICALLY to what it was at my pick up. He wouldn’t even look at the picture and I had to discuss this with him in detail before he finally agreed not to charge me. I left the uhaul in excellent shape inside. After checking me out, knowing I had a taxi waiting for quite some time now, he said I needed to sweep the truck out. There was VERY LITTLE debris and did not look dirty whatsoever. Because I didn’t carry my broom in my purse today, I had asked to borrow his. He looked annoyed and went to get it. I walked back out to the truck, swept it out (10 seconds max) and returned the broom and told him I would never be coming back to his store again and his customer service was awful. When I got into the taxi, he came outside behind me and wouldn’t let us leave. He stood in FRONT of the taxi! I opened my door to see what the problem was. He said I needed to take the small end table that I sent the same picture and dispose of it. Originally, when he came out to the truck at the beginning, I showed him the table and he said he could take care of it for me. I got out, took the table and left. When I reviewed my receipt, he has charged me for an extra day. I paid in full at pickup for a Sunday drop off so I should have only been charged two extra days at drop off (not 3) for Monday and Tuesday. Absolutely HORRIBLE attitude and customer service. The pick up location was amazing.

Walter RomanoThe attendant was rude when I dropped the truck off the truck in my opinion shouldn't even be on the road the headlights were smashed and bounced all over the road with every bump the windshield wipers had nothing left of them and the steering on the truck was horrendous every bump in the road the truck was all over the place and the back of the truck still had steel bars from store front display racks inside of it and the floor was full of water and dirt very unhappy about my experience and will not ever deal with that location again

Upon arrival for pickup I found out the truck had been double booked and it needed to be back by 8:30am the next morning. After 45 minutes of standing around waiting for the employee to make phonecalls to Uhaul and the other people who booked the truck, they were able to secure my rental but I had to bring it back earlier than planned to cater to the other people who booked it. The system somehow allowed the booking to go through even though the truck wasn't available, this is a huge issue that needs to be fixed. I'm satisfied that the employee at the Petro could help work through it and come to a solution but I shouldn't have to make these compromises on moving day.

Maybe not employee’s fault bu the had to re-do the reservation ... not sure why as I rented one couple weeks back then again few weeks before that and again few weeks before that. So a total of 4 rentals in 2 months. After waiting so long had to go back bc the furniture dolly I requested wasn’t supplied. Then do the contract all over again. Again, he was nice and trying really hard but helping customers in-between wasn’t helping. He probably was trying to keep everyone happy but over an hr to get the truck when u have plans to be certain places with the truck is not acceptable. I usually rent from the sarnia rd and Hyde park location and that’s where I will keep going but not before I give enterprise a try.
