Bernhard GreffelWhen I returned the trailer, I realized that the U-Haul technician who happened to be there and helped hook up the trailer used wrenches to tighten the safety chains connectors and without wrenches there was no disconnecting the trailer from the vehicle. I don't feel that wrenches should be needed to unhook a trailer.

bruce poorThe equipment that I had booked with my rental was not in the truck, which meant I had to drive 40 minutes back home and then back to the Uhaul location when they were open to get the equipment. This all defeats the purpose of me doing the online check-in if I have to make two trips to get everything. The location has poor cell phone service, and although the building itself has wifi, you can not have the wifi connected to your phone over where the trucks are, so this means you can not take the necessary photos for the online check-in, because you are disconnected every time you go over to the trucks. This location was not my first choice, I had to change to this one because the truck I ordered was not available at the closer location to my house, so I had to drive further to get my equipment(multiple times). The lady working when I returned to get the equipment I rented then proceeded to tell me, "We don't check the online orders, we just put the keys in the box". I am not sure if she thought this was a comforting comment to make, however, it just made me more upset, I went through the trouble of doing the online order and early pick up for her to tell me they don't even check to see what I had booked, that is ridiculous!

Benjamin ThomasMy only complaint is that, when dropping off the trailer, the location space is HUGE and there was no clear indicator where to actually put the trailer... which required a long walk inside to inquire about that. Other than that, Mark and LeaAnne gave great service! 👍🏼

Dave StephensThere is no wifi or data internet available unless you are right beside the building. When you return the truck the check in process wants pictures of kilometers used but you can't do this without internet.
Christine LohnesOh, what I’m not happy with is that it wasn’t clearly explained to me that I only had to put so much gas in the truck and we filled it and spent $110 more than we had to and your company is doing nothing to rectify that which is very unfortunate because the people that we got the U-Haul to use for had a flood and lost a lot of stuff and ended up having to pay $110 more than what was required this is very upsetting. I have never been to a company that requires you only to put so much gas in. Usually the tank is full when you take it and you fill it when you return that way you know exactly how much was used going off a metre and gassing how much gas to put in it doesn’t seem like a very good way to do business .
Leanna WhynotOne tire of the trailer was dull and had a nail in it. Once i put weight, the tire started losing air and the trailer started swaying. I had to stop every so often at a gas station and pump air and continue. Due to that i wasn't able to complete what i rented the trailer for.

And we had to dispute every picture on pick up because the pictures on profile must’ve been when the truck was new and not its existing condition.

John booreI wouldn’t recommend UHaul at all - I would actively try to dissuade people using UHaul. The cost was exhorbitant. The truck was dirty, run down and so uncomfortable to drive - and didn’t even have any adapters or USB for phones. It was 3 times what I would have pain with a rental van from Enterprise- only their vans would be clean and modern. The drop off was ridiculous. There was no Wi-Fi so I couldn’t get link to work. We dropped keys and drove home only to discover I couldn’t do the internet link once away from the location. We had to drive back and I had to use my personal data to do the internet link and uploading, but the area is in a depression so every photo took 15 minutes! It took more than an hour to finish the drop off. We were not warned about this procedure - it is new. I was total overkill. Perhaps it’s necessary due to bad dealings with UHaul? People have to protect themselves? Then prepare people for what is expected at drop off!!!!!! The lady told me there was no big deal, just drop off the keys in the orange box. She was lovely- don’t get me wrong- but didn’t know what she should do to prep people who are not regular customers. Yeah, right. And to make it worse, the links wouldn’t let me upload photos I had taken from my phone ( because I didn’t trust UHaul, frankly, and wanted a record of the dash and cabin). You can only upload photos taken by the link. This created a huge problem of try to take pictures through the locked door of the cabin since we had already dropped off the keys in our attempt to leave and find better internet connection. And then to add insult to injury and have the cost DOUBLE what we expected, apparently due to mileage. This was such a bad experience! We will never use UHaul again. We have to make a similar university trip in the fall and we are already planning on making sure Enterprise is available for us. We will book way ahead with them to make sure that we don’t have an experience like this again.

Michael DobsonWe had to do our own check-in and found it somewhat difficult because Data connection is VERY POOR. Took too long for uploading photos etc. Should offer at least WiFi link to business instead of using personal data as photos use a lot of data and some people don't have data packages on their mobile phones.

COLLICUTT LUMBERUhaul was mostly clean other than muddy inside. My biggest complaint was no uhaul available where I wanted so I had to drive further.
Timmy MorinAbsolute garbage service. Paid over 200 at pick up location and was charged another 145.90 from Whynots drop off location. I was charged over 80 dollars for a small bit of gas!! It was on 1/2 when picked up and returned on 1/4 due to time and no station being available. I called numerous places and asked about fuel charge if I had filled the 1/4 back myself and was told I was 100% ripped off and scammed!! 390 for a rental was unreal and Whynots should be investigated as they are disgusting scammers that take advantage of people in need of service. Would never ever use or recommend…..ever!!

KAREN HALLVery disappointed with the cost. It was double what the booking site quoted me. I ordered 3 Dollie’s and there were only two. And on the form the woman estimated that there was 3/4 tank but there was less. I have photos before taking it as proof. We took it total, less than 15 km and I put $10 of gas back in. Total price quoted was $89.00. Total charged was $160.00. VERY disappointed. Location was good. Truck in great condition.

NICK COMEAUStarting fuel level was wrong (paperwork said 1/4 tank but it was showing empty actually lower than empty on the fuel gauge). Uhaul made some excuses. Then I put $280 fuel in the tank but it only showed 1/4. So the fuel gauge is not working properly. I called uhaul and asked what to do, nothing of value. After my trip, I returned the truck with approx $100 more fuel than when I picked it up... too bad. I got screwed by Uhaul and it's partners.
Andrew KirkI have problems every time (3 now) I return equipment there. They have their hours posted WRONG on the U-Haul website and then try to charge for extra days, staff was rude and clearly do not know how to operate the U-Haul computer software very well. You need to simplify the process for them or provide better training on POS software.

Niccolas cosmatosNational traffic coordination service needs to be better coordinated with the local dealers for one-way bookings. Arrived at location under National's advice that a one-way trailer was available immediately for pickup, and none was had for pickup, wasted $100 in fuel and 3 hours of time.

EISENERS TRANSPORT LTDHad to go out of my way by an hour to get the truck. I realize that the May 1 weekend is a busy time for university students, but I booked a month in advance and could have been warned then, not three days out.
