Beware, my car has a lower clearance than other cars. The Uhaul app let me know that my car would not clear the lip (to fasten my front tires). However, Nicks believed otherwise. Out of fear of ruining my car, I hired a professional to come out and fasten my car. I am so glad I did. The professional showed me how to make my car clear the lip. He lifted my bumper physically while his father slowly drove it into position to be fastened properly. Before backing my car off the trailer, we had to lift the bumper in order to prevent ripping it off my car. It all worked out beautifully, but it took a professional to make it work. Uhaul really needs to hire Allan Gray for this type of work. I highly recommend that your local Uhaul locations offer his services to people who don't know what they are doing. His expertise is invaluable. His number is 540-316-7465.

By problem is not with location. U-haul rescheduled drop off from a site that was a couple of miles away from my unloading location that was initially given, to this one that was 25 miles away. Maybe a 50 mile round trip to turn in the truck when it should have been 5 doesn’t seem like much to them, after driving 1500 miles it was not appreciated!

I was charged for 2 days and only had it for one day, truck had damage to it when I rented it, the cashier lady at the Bealeton Location didn't appear to know what she was doing, was the only person and had a line of people which made me a few minutes behind on the return time. I called Customer Service and was told that I would be refunded for one day of the Rental. Being Double Charged for 2 days instead of just one day, the final paperwork wasn't even the same for the truck (beginning fuel wasn't the same as the final paperwork, money amounts weren't the same, ect). Being Double Charged is completely unacceptable and I am still waiting for the refund. How can you charge someone for 2 days when it was just one day that the truck was rented and returned. I am not happy with the service or being double charged, will be utilizing another moving truck rental company the next time I move.

The manager on duty Mr. “J” Jihad was extremely attentive, professional, helpful, supportive and kind… I have never had beforehand as a wonderful service such this amazing experience with this U-Haul location! The pick up location and the staff at the location were wonderful! They were helpful and very nice. My complaint is the reservation agent. The reservation was made over the phone. The rates online are not the rates when speaking over the phone. The person taking the reservation and NOT the accuracy!. I specifically asked for a location providing the zip code. The reservation agent selected a pick up spot was 37 miles away that I was not aware he did until I spoke with a manager. The person taking the reservation quoted the price with 60 miles included in the price. I was told any additional mile over 60 would be $1 per mile. I was able to speak with a manager and the pick up location corrected to where I originally requested. After dropping off the truck, I was charged $35 for additional miles. The rate included only 34 miles NOT 60 miles! I traveled 69 miles. The reservation agent lied to me! I will share my experience reserving a Uhaul with everyone! I would not trust any reservation agent at Uhaul!

Friendly and professional Service. Very helpful over the phone service; was great to find a U-Haul truck close to us that had a 26 ft long truck and short notice. So yes we were very satisfied with U-Haul used it many times. Thank you.

Smelled like goat piss in driver area and could see spot in between seats where the piss had taken place. Had to drive with windows open all the way to the destination. Lastly, there was only 3/4 of a tank in the Uhaul.

When I booked my trailer I immediately received a confirmation, which was very appreciated. Then a whole week later and less than 24 hours before my trip I received a voicemail at 7:30 in the morning that my equipment was in fact not available and that my new pick up location was going to take me 45 minutes out of my way each way. This was upsetting because there was probably 10 other U-Haul locations within 5 miles of my original location. When I called the U-Haul number to complain about the inconvenience I was only offered a $20 discount which did not even cover my gas or time spent going out of my way. The whole experience was extremely nerve-racking because it happened at the very last minute before a long trip and I don’t feel that I was compensated for my inconvenience. I expect better customer service and performance from such a large and reputable company.

Place equipment in a location that is accessible for hooking and towing. Location where trailers are located, is very compacted. An experience truck driver/tower would have challenges accessing equipment with out near crashes.

The guy that I rented this truck from is verrrry arrogant and should not be renting anything to anyone. He was rude when I picked up the truck and when I brought it back. His last name is Sarsour - the last four letter in his last name truly describes him perfectly!!!!

I had a bad experience with uhual, there were many things wrong with the truck. The belt was squeaky, the steering column was loose, the truck pulled hard to the left, loud on the inside, back door would barley close, smelled like cigarettes on the inside, the transmission would slip gears and the death wobble was awful.

The young lady that assisted me was very polite, friendly and accommodating. She was busy with retail customers and very apologetic about me have to wait and thank me for my patients. My reservation was had to be change form C&C Shell in Culpeper, VA due to availability of the truck that I had ordered. The women at the Shell station was very rude and not very customer friendly. I went in there on Friday evening to confirm how to pick up the truck on my cell phone. Her answers were unacceptable. My hope is that UHaul reaches out to the dealer and maybe reconsiders them as dealer for UHaul.

I hadn't received a confirmation call so I called the original pickup location and they said I could pick up the 26' truck and 12' trailer Saturday night. 150 miles into my trip to Virginia your scheduling manager called and said that the 26' truck wasn't available so he was going to give me a10' truck! He tried to get me to accept that, which of course I didn't, then he wanted me to. call another area manager since his shift was about over. I said that that was unacceptable and that he needed to do the calling to find me the correct truck and trailer. This process took a half hour and eventually he found the right equipment but it was an hour away from my location in Virginia, and it wasn't available until Sunday morning. So I got the right equipment but lost at least three hours of loading time.

The 26' truck I rented had its check engine light on when I picked it up. The light eventually went off a couple hours later after driving around town as we loaded the truck, but it was concerning given I was making a cross-country trip.

My rental was not even available at my original location so I had to go get a smaller truck 17 miles away, had no appliance dolly and no blankets to use. I was not given my $50 guarantee credit for my rental not being available, nor was I given any compensation for having to drive an extra 34 miles in my personal vehicle to get this truck to and from the place I had to go pick it up from... really unimpressed with UHaul at this point. But the people at Nicks were great and tried to help me the best they could and were very nice given the quandary I was placed in by the other location.

When I picked up the truck the store clerk said one of the dollies I requested was not on the truck. I asked if it was the furniture dolly and the clerk said yes. Actually, there was no dolly on the truck. The clerk said a dolly does not come with that size truck. I specifically ordered a dolly. Seriously, how can you move boxes without a dolly?

When I reserved the trailer I specifically declined the "safe tow" coverage. I entered my credit card information and drivers license pictures when I reserved and was quoted $18.95 + tax. When I picked up the trailer they once again asked for my credit card and drivers license.When they handed me the paperwork I tucked it in my pocket and left. I did not sign anything. When I got home I noticed that an additional charge of $8.00 for safe tow had been added to my credit card against my wishes. This place may be OK to rent from but make sure that you check the paperwork so that they can't sneak charges past you.

I was supposed to pick up the U-Haul at 1:00 pm. This location was late by twenty minutes with the arrival of the truck. I didn't end up leaving the location until 1:45 pm and I was on a time crunch. Truck was being used by a random person who was friends with the person working the front counter. Their system broke down while I was checking out which caused the clerk to have to call U-Haul for assistance and then I had to give my credit card information AGAIN, and in public over the phone. That is NOT a safe practice for payment. Additionally, the U-Haul person on the phone added insurance when I specifically told the clerk in store that I did not want insurance, and now I have to spend time calling U-Haul to make sure that charge is removed. Also, the person on the U-Haul was very short with me, and was rushing me and did not asked if I wanted insurance or not which should've been standard. I would not recommend this location. I did not have a good or smooth experience.
