I like doing business here. I rent a storage unit, and have rented trucks a few times. Very easy, great staff.

Overall I had a good experience choosing to open a storage unit at New England Self Storage. At first I felt the building where the storage units are to be cold and not as temperature regulated as I thought it would be but later in the day it got warmer. My only recommendation would be to upgrade the moving carts from grocery carts to all rolling moving carts.

I started with 3 large units finally reduced to one. I had things stored there for 5 years. It was always well maintained and felt very secure. I highly recommend this facility and would always use it if I had the need again. The staff is always courteous and helpful. It couldn't be better, in my opinion.

Internet connection wasn’t great so it was almost impossible to complete my pick-up by phone. Had to call &00 # & wait for a call back I the dark & cold, in a sketchy neighborhood in order to get the key. Why was not able to upload photos & complete the forms before hand? And then I needed a passport, proof of employment, utility bill or 3rd party reference??? What kind of crap is that? I will seriously consider other alternatives before I go through that again. I have been a long time customer. Probably not again.

You guys pulled a bait and switch on me. You gave me one price on the phone and gave me a higher price when I went to pick up the truck. This is unacceptable. I would like to speak to a supervisor.

I submitted the rental form almost a week in advance and wanted to pick it up before they opened. The key wasn't in the drop box and I had to come back when they opened. When I came back they "didn't have" the equipment that I had already asked for, even though there were several furniture dollies at the door. I had request one of each of the dollies and 5 packs of blankets and received one regular dolly and one blanket that was on the floor in the back not in plastic. If I had known that I couldn't have gotten the truck early or that they didn't have the things that I requested online when booking i would have gone elsewhere.

There were hidden fees. I did not know and was never told before I used my rental that there would be a $14 insurance fee. I feel like I was scammed. THIS INFORMATION SHOULD BE CONVEYED TO THE CUSTOMER BEFORE THERE IS A RENTAL. I have used Uhaul over 10 times and never have always opted out of insurance and have never been charged for it. This rental location scams people.

Don’t go here, made a reservation for pickup online thinking it would be fast and easy. Wrong got to the location had to rebook rental, they do not let you rent with buying there insurance. Then on top of that they sneak rental items into your contract thinking you wont notice. Then when you question them about they say they will fix it on checking out. Which they don’t. Do yourself a favor just make the extra travel to East Providence location.

The location itself was fine- there was a woman there who helped us when things were not clear. The app kept telling me to re-verify with my phone contacts even though they answered the phone when UHaul called, which was frustrating and time consuming. The worst part of the experience wasn’t the truck itself, but the movers I used from the UHaul Moving Help website, Construction Home Advisors. The first day, they were 2 hours late. The following day, they kept calling saying they were running late because of the ‘rain’ (there wasn’t any) and then they eventually stopped answering my calls after 5 hrs and I had to call another moving service last min and pay nearly $900. Terrible, terrible experience.

There was a used face mask on the dash, and a empty pack of cigarettes and leaves in the back of truck. Online pick up and drop off was a nightmare to use. Never again.

Is extremely difficult to rent a truck on line,because the frequent time that ask you to take a photo of anything to proceeds the application and make you lose a lot of time, sorry but I won’t do a rent a truck on line, you should give a customer and easy way to do so!!!

My rental process was done remotely. The attendant on duty could not have been any nicer as I fumbled through the process. The vehicle was brand new and in amazing condition.

I ordered the smallest uhaul truck. I get to the location and the keys were never put in the box so then I had to take a bigger one. I appreciate that they had a truck at all but I ordered a small one because I have a tight driveway. With the bigger one it made it a lot harder to load and unload than it would have been with the truck I ordered.

As I walked into the facility I noticed it was disorganized compared to the Bronx store I left a few hours before. As I walked to the counter the woman was sitting there on her phone or iPad and it was almost as if I was interrupting her. She took my name and started looking up my information and then got a phone call and proceeded to help a customer on the phone with pricing for a storage unit rather than finish helping me. It wasn’t till I did a little huffing and puffing that she told the person she would call them back. Then after she hung up the phone she started doing a bunch of clicking on her computer. For a good two minutes not saying a word to me. I finally asked her if she was able to find my information and she said “yeah I’m doing it now.” Just not a very professional atmosphere or exchange.

The customer service people at 105 Bates Street, Pawtucket, RI, although very nice to us, gave us the wrong drop off location. Perhaps, they were led by the automated computer program that directed us to the wrong drop off location. In fact, the drop off location at 560 Bank St. Waterbury, CT was closing and if we were any later, we would have lost a great deal of time finding the correct drop off location at 169 Meriden Rd, Waterbury.

I did an after hours pickup. The dolly I rented was not put in the uhaul. And the after hours way of Picking up a truck is ridiculously difficult. Was my worst experience by far with renting uhauls.
