Sophia GrubbThe format on the Website:is not set up for general people who age is over 50 or older.. I attempted to rent a vehicle to use for less than a mile, to move a sofa. I answer all the questions, but the website kept rejecting my application because I didn't answer one question that didn't pertaining to myself. Ridiculous!

Phil PelletierOn Sunday, we attempted to do the 24/7 pickup in Harrington. The system kept telling us we had a "special character or space" in our driver's license, but there was none. We sat on hold for half an hour and then were cut off and had to call back. An hour later, we decided to just go home although I remained on the line. When we arrived home, Tony, the customer service person, told me we had to go back because he "could not help me." The pickup system is ridiculously complicated. I entered all our information prior to Sunday and then had to do It all over. We finally just cancelled and went to another location on Monday. We had to hold up her line so she could enter everything we had already entered. The system is NOT easy and needs to be overhauled.

But due to my experience of the pick up location, I was prepared for the drop off not being an actual UHaul facility. . The Representative at the location was excellent. She was very friendly and had me checked out quickly. Again the Representatives at pick up and drop off is the reason I would recommend again.

Charles KellyThe pickup process was difficult and confusing. I arranged for pickup with my mobile phone, which have me a code to unlock the box with the key. However, there was no box on the truck. I called the U-Haul number and was told to go inside the gas station to retrieve the key. The gas station attendant did not have my reservation on her phone app so could not give me the key. I had to call U-Haul again, and the person there instructed the gas station attendant to give me the key. The pickup process should not have been this difficult. I also ordered a furniture dolly when I made the reservation, but there was no dolly provided. I have rented U-Hauls in the past and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had.

Hugh PlantinThe original contract did not allow for sufficient miles. The one way trip to the destination was more than the miles allocated. When I asked the service person they gave me a contact number to call. That person added additional miles to cover the necessary distance. My agreement when I booked allowed for 2 days - return Sunday 10 am. However on Saturday 9 am I received a phone call telling me I had an hour to return the U-Haul or additional charges will be added as the contract was for only 1 day. I loaded and travelled the same day and did not reach the destination until 2 am. To get a call at 9 am like that is bs. After telling her what my agreement was she had it changed. At noon I got a call from the return ctr asking me when would I be returning the U-Haul as they have a customer pick it up. That to me amounts to harassment already as I already explained it one time. And my contract said I have until Sunday . I have an e mail confirmation. It is not my fault that u haul overbooked their truck. Anyone with common sense will understand that it takes more than 24 hours to move, as well as loading and unloading a 20’ truck. In my opinion I haul caused me great inconvenience and additional costs by making this demand and as such I should be getting some refund as I had to return the truck involuntarily early, as well as other inconveniences and stress.
Alvin ConstantineMelissa took great care of us. We used this location for several rentals. Check in and check out was a breeze and since they sell fuel, it was easy to top off the tank when we dropped off our truck.

The poor rating was in reference to the fact that we reserved a truck on Route 1 two weeks prior to use and the day two days prior to picking the truck up we received a call that the closest location for pick up was 30 miles away. There was ample time to transport that truck to our location to avoid the lost time packing and moving. Very disappointing that we had to make the trip and that U-haul did not move the truck to our pick up location.
