Not having the dolly I ordered to load the heavy stuff really put more stress on an already stressful situation. I got the truck because of the ramp to load the big heavy stuff. If I would have known, I could have tried to find one in time, but it put me in a pickle and ended up costing me more time and money. The uhaul contractor is very helpful and I would recommend utilizing this business for that reason.

Daniel SI requested a pickup at this location. Instead of informing me that this vehicle wasn't available at this location, I was transferred to another location 40 miles away. Even after changing the vehicle size to one that Mr. Peters informed me he carries, I was still assigned the other pickup location. Mr. Peters was willing to go pickup the vehicle and bring it to Williamstown, but the regional scheduler was not aware of this. The first person I spoke to at the regional level took notes but never followed through. I thought making the reservation two months in advance would prevent any problems, but, a few days before my reservation I received an email and the pickup location was still 40 miles away. The second person I spoke to at the regional level made it seem as tho expecting Mr Peters to pickup the vehicle was a huge imposition. I already knew after speaking to Mr. Peters that he was more than willing to make that trip. Mr.Peters was extremely helpful and it was a pleasure doing business with him. As far as U-Haul at the corporate and regional level; not so much. Maybe make more of an effort to get to know your local reps. And, change your software so that it doesn't automatically kick you out to a location an hour away without giving the customer the option of changing the vehicle size. Or for that matter maybe another location that wasn't at such a distance.
Russell PFrank went above and beyond for us. U haul took the reservation, but the day before pick up our local uhaul (which i made the res for didnt have the truck) frank called me and said he had a truck and he was so easy to work with. Thank you Frank!
Bryan AThe location I requested for pickup did not have the size trailer I reserved on the date of pickup. I understand this can always be and issue if the previous renter did not follow their contact. No one called me to inform this is part of the problem. The other part is that the call center person then sent me to a different location that did not even have the trailer size I had reserved. I then had to drive to another location to get the trailer. These two factors caused me to waste more than 4 hours of unnecessary driving and additional fuel expenses.
