The trailer had bad tires this is a common practice of U-Haul just use them till the customer has to deal with it in the side of a road somewhere for hours

finis wTruck cab stunk from cigarette smoke and was full of leftover trash ie.. plastic drink bottles,paper wrappers and leftover beef jerky.Overwise the truck performed as required and came equipped with 2" ball hitch.Staff was courteous,prompt and timely. Luckily this truck had a 2" ball hitch in the receiver but was told they are not usually available. Uhaul needs to have this device available always.Can't rent and pull your trailers without it.

Daniel BWhen I last used a U-Haul about four and a half months ago, I was scammed big time by the franchisee. Fortunately, I was vindicated by the investigation that followed. I was wary about renting another van from U-Haul, but was given courteous and honest service by Jerry's Shooting Irons and Pawn. They did a great job, and I feel better about U-Haul after having dealt with JSI&P.

John SNo gas was used, yet I was charged $26.12 for 6 gallons of gas for a 17 mile trip. Gas needle never moved. Would never recommend this company again.

LINDA BThe only issue I had was the "Haul/Tow" light would not go off. I followed the instructions to disengage but the indicator light stayed on. I am not sure if it was just a problem with the bulb, or if the actual switch on the gearshift lever was broken.

Cheryl SThe truck that I was given has 142000 miles on it. I explained to the representative that I was driving to Fairhope Al. We could not drive the speed limit due to the shaking and play in the wheel. When I spoke with the representative about it this morning she stated the truck was only supposed to be used for in town trips. So tell me why was I given this truck knowing that I was going to be on the interstate? Dangerous and senseless.

When I left then turned around to come back into store to ask a question which Uhaul were we taking ? she was talking rudely about me to the man behind the counter. Shanking her head. So I just left pissed off! I rented at another store they quoted a totally different price. When I got to this store another price. When we got back she said it was t swept out good enough. Which it was.
Rita JI picked the truck up in a small town and drove about 6 miles at low speed on a very busy 4 lane road. Once the traffic started to clear and the traffic started to speed up (45 mph), the truck started to shake violently. This problem got worse as I drove. I called the rental store and they told me I could bring it back to them to look at or stop at another store that was closer to me. So I stopped at the other location and asked them if they could look at the truck and the girl laughed and said yeah I can look at it but I am not going to fix it. I asked her if she could swap the truck for another one (Their were 5 - 26' trucks in the parking lot) and she said they didn't have any. I was the only customer at the facility. I was stuck driving the truck at a top speed of 40 mph, which was extremely dangerous on the interstate. I have video of the truck shaking and bouncing if anyone at the corporate level wants to see what kind of condition their trucks are in and the dangerous situations that customers are being put in. Oh, and the truck pulls hard to the right when the brakes are applied. And to top it all off, the truck ended up costing over $200. The lady at the uhaul location didn't try to find me another truck, didn't offer to reduce my rental costs, and never even bothered to call me back after I told her about the issues with the truck. Really makes you feel like an appreciated customer!!

Joseph CWhen we booked our Uhaul we drove to the actual uhaul location so we would get one from that location thinking that would be better because we thought the trucks are serviced. When we got a notification for pickup we got sent to a pawn shop. Upon arrival the man was not helpful at all. We had rented some pads and a dolly and he did not have either. Asked about a military discount because when we went to the uhaul he gave us one and he looked at us and said he doesn’t know how to do that. He gave us the keys and that was it. Didn’t show us the truck or anything. On our trip up to Pennsylvania from Mississippi something was wrong with the truck causing us to have to find a Uhaul location where we had to call roadside assistance. The mechanic came out and had to replace both tires and said we were lucky. That really made me mad since we purposely drove to book our truck at the actually uhaul location. We got a call from corporate and they told us due to the inconvenience we would be refunded 100 percent plus any food bought while waiting for the mechanic would be refunded. When we got to PA to drop the truck off at the actual uhaul location they said they didn’t have an idea what we were talking about a refund. This really upsets me and will make me reconsider using uhaul again. We are in the military so we have to use it more often than not.
