We arrived on time but was told the vehicle we were supposed to rent had broken down for a while. We called Customer Service, but were hung up - two times! - before we were properly answered 40 mins after the reserved time. Had to pay out of pocket to transit to another Uhaul branch and make the rental. Definitely needs to let customers know if the vehicle broke down so customers can update the reservation properly! Customer Service must be improved! Why agents hung up customers for no reason?

Visit uhaul.com for online check-in. Since they didn’t have a van she booked it at the location I rented it from.

Code isn't shared by the representative while the rental begins, nor is it available easily within the U-Haul App leading the renting person to feel stranded. The customer service rep was great at handling the issue but it took a while which was not convenient.
