Taryn Mitchell1. No dolly was available, at least mark it early so we can arrange for one elsewhere 2. Tow hitch was attached when I did not even need it. Did not know how to unhook it. The person said it was unhooked and drive and it will unhook. Lies.

Que se explique todos los costos que uno tiene que pagar,. Por ejemplo, en mi caso no sabía que me entregarían la unidad sin gasolina, le puse $80.00 dólares de gasolina. (en el contrato decía que si regresaba con 1/4 o más, me regresarían $26 .00 dólares, la regresé con un poco menos de l1/2 y quien recibió la unidad dijo que no hay reembolsos.)

Julie HolmesThe truck was not properly cleaned, A-lot of Maintenance needs to be done on the truck. It was a very bumpy, unsteady ride. I can say more but it will be too much in writing. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the rental truck with U-haul. I have never experienced this problem. I have rented from U-Haul for many many years and never experienced this type of tragedy. In order to improve, the Customer service needs to improve, and Maintenance. Maintenance was my number 1 concern for my safety and my children's safety. I felt very unsafe driving this U-Haul truck. It would not pass Safe Inspections if it was well inspected. The U-Haul truck would not pass all 3 inspections.

Linda KlyceThis experience went from smooth to terrible within hours. I dropped off my rental on Saturday at 12:30 pm and was told I’d get an email receipt no action required. By 9 pm I was charged an additional fee for an extra day. I called the 800 number and was advised I had to get the local office to close out the rental. Having no other choice I went at 6 am and asked for them to close it. They were “surprised” that it wasn’t done. Now I have over $300 in unauthorized “pending” charges to my primary credit card. Needless to say this entire experience was terrible and I would NEVER recommend anyone rent from this location or U-Haul for that matter. You’ve unfortunately lost my business.

JAMES HILLThe person who assisted us was really friendly, which was great. However, we did encounter a couple of issues with the rental. The original truck we had reserved had a flat tire, so they had to replace it with a van and unfortunately had a cover. The van didn't quite fit the furniture we needed to pick up, so we ended up having to rent another car. To make matters worse, the replacement car we rented had broken tail lights and some other problems, which made it impossible for us to return it to the location at night so we kept the car all night. We immediately contacted U-Haul to let them know about the issue, but it wasn't until it got dark that we noticed the broken tail lights. Thankfully, U-Haul was understanding and didn't charge us for keeping the car overnight. The guy at the location even provided us with a small discount for the inconvenience. It would have been better if their vehicles were better maintained though.

Bruce BennettThe location was great, especially for Oakland and the staff were super helpful. The truck itself, however, had significant bumper damage; it looked like someone caught the front bumper on something as they were backing-up and it pulled the bumper away from the truck, making it more difficult to drive as the driver-side portion did not contour the front of the truck as intended. The inside of the storage bay was riddled with spiders. I killed 3 that just happen to be exposed at the top of the roll-up door and saw others while loading the truck, which means others were likely brought into our new residence upon unloading. We had to purchase a padlock because the one included would not close/lock. The cup holder performed it's function thanks to the help of rubber-bands already in place upon entering the cab. Finally, we rented a dolly which had to be alternatively secured due to the pre-installed dolly clamp being rusted and unable to close around the dolly axle. The truck itself performed well while driving/hauling, otherwise.
