Kevin was exceptional. He jumped through hoops to make sure we were taken care of. It was a little bit of a drive, but the equipment was available and the service was impeccable. He even delivered the truck to us due to our tight move schedule. If you have a choice, you will definitely want to work with Kevin at the Hoffman location.

Owner was very helpful. He helped me when he was making no money off my rental. He showed customer service. The area Manager Joseph Easley was awesome. He took great care of me and valued me as a customer. I have rented many u hauls in the last couple months and rent property at uhaul location. He acted like it mattered.

Fortunately, we made our destination but when we arrived and went to return the equipment, we found several issues that should’ve been dealt with before we traveled the East Coast. I need to talk to somebody about our experience. Not happy at all but grateful that we arrive safely.

It cost me almost 200 dollars to rent 10 foot Van for 6 hours,and still had to put gas back in it.The price of Van was 19.95.I only drove it 200 miles.

Very hard to reach the branch but when they did reach out they were extremely friendly & helpful. They even delivered my truck to me being that the pick up location was an hour away. Very pleased with their service!

Truck was promised to be delivered to our home at 930 am, when the contract was supposed to start. It showed up at 11am (even though they started contract at 7am before making the 2 hour drive to us ), on empty, with 200 miles already on it. After some back and forth, the manager gave us a gas credit, extra miles, and extra days on the contract. We were very appreciative of the manager making it right, but we shouldn't have had to deal with such a stressful situation while in the middle of a move. I'm peeved that they called me to set up a delivery, from 2 hours away, when I could have saved myself the hassle and picked up a truck locally, as originally planned- if they hadn't called.

To location served it’s purpose, however the customer service was rude on the telephone. U-Haul schedule me to pick up at one location, moved that reservation to another location. We showed up at the second location at time of pick up but the store was closed and they didn’t offer 24/7 pickup, despite assurances from the rep that they did. That’s when U-Haul arranged for us to pick up from this location. This whole process delayed our move by 1.5hours and was very stressful. Would NOT recommend

My review is not necessarily on this specific location, but on my U-Haul experience in general. I requested to pick up a van in Aberdeen at 12pm. No one called to confirm the details or even to tell me my location has been changed. I didn't even get an email about the location change-I only find this out after I try to start the check in process and it says I'm at the wrong location (even though my email says otherwise). After speaking behind the counter there, I go to the address the check in process was telling me to go to. After I arrive and we've started the process, I was told the van isn't there. It's after my scheduled pick up time mind you. So I had to wait 20 minutes for them to finish the delivery and drop off the van. I'm informed I still have to pay for the mileage between there and Aberdeen even though NO ONE TOLD ME OF THE LOCATION CHANGE. During the verification process, they somehow called my brother instead of my husband, and when my husband gave them the correct number, they never called him back. They did give us an extra hour of use of the van, thankfully. All in all, my experience was chaotic and frustrating.

I was rerouted to the Hoffman Rental Location due to an equipment shortage at my original rental location -- and was extremely pleased with the professionalism, friendliness and courtesy I received from the owner of the Hoffman location. Heck, I'd start there the next time. Kudos -- and his shortcut recommendation was perfect and saved me a lot of time. Highly recommend this dealer!

Overall my experience with Uhaul was HORRIBLE!!!! When I reserved the trailer almost 2 months prior, it only gave me one option to reserve the trailer at, 4 days prior to pickup, location was changed by Uhaul. Business place called Wed to confirm rental, I stopped by to confirm and he had 2 trailers. When I came to pick up trailer, none were available. Guy said he had no idea where trailers went too. He called Uhaul, about an hour later they found a trailer 20 miles out of my way. I was informed that I must go get the trailer. What the heck. Ask the main rep on the phone how to submit my $50 Guaranteed Reservation Promise. Which is Right Equipment, Right Location, Right On Time, As agreed or you get $50. She stated my reservation was a code 2 and not a code 1 therefore you do not qualify! And now you tell me if I want a trailer I have to travel 20 miles out of my way. Piss poor service and as usual, customer gets screwed with the fine print. Oh, I was told the District Manager for the Southern Pines, NC area would be calling me, never heard from Joe E. If other businesses had rental trailers, I would go there. A one rating out of 10.

No smoking 🚭 means no smoking don't rent out til the smell is gone. Attention corporate. if they don't have a truck call immediately,don't let me drive to a location just to be told sorry good luck finding a truck, we will call you. Location was perfect. You have work to do.

This was a ways from my house, I had set the reservation with Jus Storage, it was transferred to a place further away from my house in Hoffman, NC. I saw a sign in the trailer that said to avoid a $15.00 charge sweep it before returning. I swept it but it was not cleaned prior to our use. I had purposely picked Jus Storage because I was not sure how long we would need the trailer, they close at 12 on Saturday so I knew if we were a little later than 4 we would not be charge for the second day. I needed to have it early because we left at 6 am. We were finished with the trailer at 6, but the place we ended up getting it from told my husband if we did not have it back by 5:30 we would be charged for the next day. Very disappointed to have been charged another day , did not get any blankets and have to drive further to get the trailer.

Lot is sandy and not well defined - recommend paving the portions that require walk around inspection of equipment or trailer hitch hookups. Staff is friendly and helpful, but rarely on time to greet customers with pickup or drop appointments. Office is small with limited supplies.

Received a text message hours after we had already dropped off at one location that I was to drop it at a different location. Slept poorly because it was after hours stressing that I was going to be charged more for dropping vehicle at the location that woman at Papas told me I could drop off at. Again communication could be a tad better.we dropped vehicle off at 5pm didn't get the text until almost 11pm. A call would have been appreciated. Otherwise. I was happy with Uhaul and would more than likely use again in the future. Best prices for the area I am in.
