Gregory SKaren was very welcoming and helpful. It was my first experience renting a Uhaul vehicle, and she made it easy and made me comfortable with the process. I was honestly expecting a worse/mediocre experience however: the truck was clean and ready (Karen held my reservation even though someone had arrived earlier to claim that particular sized vehicle--and I was a bit late) and there were no operational issues with the vehicle. I had to use the Uhaul app to extend my time slot by 4 hours and I wasn't charged any extra. I had a few hiccups with the return process while using the app. Other than that, the experience was pretty painless.

Kim WThis U-Haul experience was Poor for me due to U-Haul waiting until 1 Hour before my scheduled pick-up time to start sending me texts that my reserved truck and location were unavailable. I made the reservation 8 days in advance so there was more that enough time for U-Haul to handle this much better than they did. This Compass Self Storage of Smyrna location is OK but certainly nothing special in any way.

Deborah WI dropped off vehicle cleaner than when I picked it up. Trash was still in cab from previous leasee. Truck box had not been swept out. Gas was less than 3/8 full, I left vehicle with more gas than when I left. Light on vehicle dash alerted us to low air pressure on RR tire. Had to stop, fill up with gas and fill tire before I could even get going. On leaving the vehicle after hours, Uhaul app was not working, I did have location turned on. I tried on app and on mobile website. Still did not work. Was on hold for 30 minutes until CS rep assisted me. I have rented from UHaul many times, just over the last year or two, because of convenience and necessity. But I think I have made up my mind to purchase another means of transportation when I need to haul something.
Anthony AParking is very limited. There is pretty much nowhere to park until you move the truck out.
Davis OPlease have customer service contact me about my reservation!! I was not pleased with the maintenance of the truck and the vehicle was also dirty. During my move, I shouldn’t have to continuously try to start up a vehicle because it’s having mechanical issues.

Kanitra BI requested truck for more than 12 hours. But the owner was asking me to drop by 1 am. She mentioned I would have to overpay if I take more than 1 am. I felt the conversation as little rude. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Marlana PEquipment was old. The vehicle wasn't clean when we received it. We filled the tank up upon return and swept the back of the truck. The manager asked us to sweep it out again before we left and collect trash that was there upon pick up. It felt like we paid UHaul to rent a truck and do your job for you. Customer service is essentially non existent these days.

alma mI did the pick up vehicle with phone process. The biggest problem was finding the pick up vehicle tab. It was not on the main menu. So I had to look all over the web site to find it. Your web programmers need to put it in the main drop down box.

Jerry TI reserved more than 2 weeks ahead for a furniture dolly and when I showed up during my reservation I was told no dolly was available. I believe I have the right to be notified in advance no item was available so I can look for it somewhere else. Secondly, when I came back for returning the cargo van on time and clean, i was told to fold the blankets in front of them, there were 2 members of the staff and no one helped me out to do it in the specific way they request it.

Bradley PI had to pay a balance to b an account from someone I know because they used my phone number. That is not right and should be illegal. Why should I not be able to rent and have to pay something someone else owes. Taking my business to Penske.

Patrica SI scheduled a smaller truck 20-21in, for my reservation , two days prior. Upon arrival I was told that the truck was dirty and I needed to wait, or get a bigger truck. I asked the representative at the desk would it be a different barge, and if so could it be waved for my time and inconvenience. Appointment was for 9:30am, but due to finding out the truck wasn’t clean, I wasn’t able to leave the uhaul facility until roughly 10:09. Which cause a delay in my scheduled for 5 hours. They didn’t have the proper equipment I reserved as well. And the one she offered, I didn’t know how to use, the straps. So it wasn’t used. Instead, the storage unit had a flat bed, thankfully by the grace from the grace of god. I filled the gas tank back up to half where it was and I still was charged drastically charged more!
Mariah DThe worst U-Haul experience ever. Starting with the clerks attitude. The clerk wasn’t helpful with reservations reminding me I no longer had one. What does it matter if I have the truck available. Proper etiquette would’ve been to say “no worries about your pass reservations what kind of U-Haul would you like to reserve now” not “well you reservation time has passed” making me upset because overall you have a U-Haul I need so what does it matter about my pass reservation? On to next she was so excited to tell me about all the excess fees for U-Haul but then tells me it’s no gas in U-Haul and to replace it for a $30 credit. That was ok up until I entered the FILTHY STINKY DISGUSTING U-HAUL. It was juice on ceiling, sticky stuff all on seats, candy, dirt, cup holder was disgusting like pee had been in there. The U-Haul was disgusting. I would’ve thought the representative would’ve had the decent courage to offer me another U-Haul but she said “just don’t add any additional dirt to it”…. I will stop there I’ve rented U-Hauls several times in the past to move and the was by far the worst experience. The lack of gas and dirty U-Haul and the representative… I will not be renting U-Haul again. I also have discovered a rash and I believe it could be from the bacteria in the FILTHY U-HAUL if it gets worst I will pursue legal action. Thanks for the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

MA'TINA VWas charged for gas and the uhaul was on E when we picked it up. There was no dolly on the back when we paid for one then had to turn around and pay for another dolly at another store. Very inconvenient.

Chad RThe truck was in good shape, but someone had been eating chips and they were on the floor of the inside cab. Also is smelled like wet dog. I cleaned it up before returning the truck and found dog hair and a dog toenail. I sprayed air fresher to make it smell clean. Other than that, the truck was great, and the customer service was amazing. The lady at the front desk was outstanding.
