Nothings comes to mind right now, the only thing was not aware of rental service in town, for the past couple of years we rented out of Corner Brook Great local service provider .,,,,,
Greg SoperC&C was extremely disappointing. When dropping off the rental trailer, we were warned that there might be a charge for cleaning as the trailer outside was dirty. Waiting over 15 minutes for the staff to complete the return, I ask what the additional charges would be. I was told, and witnessed by a co-traveled, that there would be no additional charges. We left, pleased, only to find out the C&C charged my credit card an additional $230 for cleaning. This was a fraudulent charge as the receptionist specifically told us there would be no extra charge. When I called to query this, I was told I was mistaken. I will never recommend this U-Haul outlet and have taken steps to inform any who travel to Newfoundland, via our group, that this outlet cannot be trusted. If I do not receive adequate explanation and a refund for the $230 charge, I will be, further, expanding this to U-Haul as well>

Dean DicksThe equipment that was used wasn't working properly. The running lights did not work on one side. Ratchet attachments were nearly impossible to use as it was rusty and near ceized up. The rubbers used to secure chains were split and unusable. The only good thing, the agent was professional and perfect to deal with at the location. The equipment, not so much.

robin mcphersonThe people who served me were wonderful to deal with and did everything to accommodate me. The 20' van was clean but if poor driving condition. I have driven a cube van for years with my past business so am aware of how they should drive. The steering was very still, the wiper was broken and scraping the glass. I rented the van for a day but only had to drive 5 miles. I would not want to drive this vehicle for a full day.

Was there for 30 mins waiting, but that’s not there fault. Just your systems fault. They were friendly helpful and easy going !

scott mackayUHaul's policy on "half-filling" the truck is absurd. In all of my experience with vehicle rentals, it is policy to pick up a vehicle with a filled gas tank, and drop it off filled. This makes for additional fills, which is inconvenient. Also, the "suggested litres" to re-fill the truck is dishonest. I filled to only 3/4 of the recommended litres, which still over-filled the tank to well beyond half. This was frustrating enough for me to look into to a different rental company for next time. The experience with the location was overall positive.
David PalmerI rented this UHaul Dolly three days prior to pick up. when I arrived at this location the rep from Corner Brook had come out the day before and removed two dollys knowing one was rented. He used the excuse there was one left on the lot, however, he also knew this dolly was not usable and needed repairs. This was NOT the C and C locations fault, the girls in the office advised the rep of the rental for next morning. I was delayed by 4 hours getting to my destination because I had to wait for a Dolly to be delivered to me. in my opinion this was irresponsible of the rep and I should not have been charged for this Dolly because of the inconvenience. I would definitely not recommend to others
Maisie AndersonAs I booked my trailer two weeks in advance, and to be notified the day of pickup that it would not be in the location I booked for. I had to drive three hours out of my way to pick it up. And a closer location would not have any for another three days. I think in rural communities, they should try to accommodate better when booking in advance.

BURNT ISLAND COME HOME COMMHave the vehicles in the location where the customer require them. I had to drive four hours return to pick up this rental unit, plus my wife and i had to eat lunch at a restaurant during the trip. I also had to pay for the gas in my own vehicle to go to Port Aux Basques to pick up the rental. We also ordered 24 blankets with the vehicle but were unavailable when we picked up the unit.The rental unit dripped oil from the base pan during the whole time I had it. I reported this to your roadside assistance but was advised it was nothing to worry about. i returned the unit without incident but it was a constant worry to me while it was under my care. I don't think I will recommend your rentals to any of my friends anytime soon. Thank you, Baden Clouter
BADEN CLOUTERInspect trucks before giving them to the next customer. Tires were in such poor condition that the tire on the truck blew out and had to wait on the side of the road for 2-3 hours before someone could be there to fix the tire.

JIM DAVISat least they had a trailer. I booked one for Corner Brook location and they called on the day I was supposed to pick trailer up to say they did not have one in working order. I was forced to drive 350 km in the opposite direction to get a unit - all at my own expense. The agent would not give me a break on the rental or even the insurance. Hardly seems fair but I had to have a trailer since the move was taking place. Poor customer service at uhaul - not this PAB location but on phone.
