Sophia CWhen a customer makes a reservation a week ahead of time, don’t call them a day before and tell them it’s not available. Also, I was told that I would get a discount for my inconvenience. That didn’t happen. Also I was sent way out of my way to obtain another truck.
Kevin RThe truck wasn’t dropped off by the previous person until about 15–30 minutes into my time. Then it took over another 30-45 minutes to get me verified. I only had help for a limited amount of time and it was basically over an hour and a half simply trying to rent the truck and the self storage access ended at 9. The delay was very inconvenient and frustrating

Johnny LThis provider is unethical and a cheat. I have made a complaint to uhaul. He forced me by contract to pay for 24 hours but must return by 7 am which is 21 hours as I picked up at 9am. He doesn’t check vehicles in until 8 am . I rented a van bc I had a very small amount to move. I drove to the next town to pick it up bc it was the closest with a van, adding to.my cost.in mileage. I left and got home and when I went to open back door I discovered a shattered window with no glass outside on my driveway. I call them and I am told that there is glass in the lot so it happened there. I was asked to return and they would trade vehicles.Once I got there I overheard him tell the clerk that he knew it was broken. It must have shattered prior to me driving it but the glass failed along the way. All they had was a small moving truck. He doesn’t give me any receipt just keys and tells me it’s a trade in. I make it back at 7 the clerk asked me why so early they aren’t able to check it in till 8. Then she produced the receipt he failed to hand me the day before and I didn’t question bc it was a trade. That receipt was for the cost of the truck. The clerk asked me to please not say anything to get her in trouble but she told me that she told the manager at least 4 times during her shift that he made an error and charged extra when it should be a trade. He ignored her and left the store not returning to fix it. In my opinion he is shady and a cheat. He is a terrible representative of uhaul. I will end this by saying unfortunately I have moved many many times in my 61 years of adult life and always used uhaul. If his practices are acceptable to uhaul then I need to take my business else. This also cost me $50 gasoline to refill the truck not to mention the additional trip to the store. My cost of gas would have been much less had this not happened. Ok now I am done. Sorry so long but as a long time satisfied customer I hope my opinion of the company isn’t changed bc of one in reputable distributor.

David BRented a Van on 08/5-2023 the young lady was extremally nice and what she quoted was what I expected. Returned the Van the same day a day before what I reserved it for and the rate and quote changed. They charged my cc way more than what was quoted.. I will never rent from Uhaul again. I would have came out cheaper with a car rental than Uhaul.
Felisha MStore owner was rude tried to have me bring U-Haul in earlier than reserved time. Gas gage was malfunctioning ended up putting way more gas then it started with unable to get reimbursement due to truck issues.

Lane HThe truck had no air conditioning and being that it's South Louisiana in the summer time it was unbearable. The young lady that originally help me when I picked up the truck was nice and helpful. However, when returned the truck the gentleman I assume was the store owner that checked in the truck was rude and disrespectful. When he was asked how much gas we should put in the truck he was dismissive snd unhelpful. Then after we put the gas in the truck and we turned in the keys. He then charged for additional gas snd cleaning despite the truck being broom sweeped and us having just put gas in it. When I asked him why he dismissed me and talked me to call U-Haul and would not answer any of my questions. I will never rent from that location again!

ANTHONY SDealing with the location was easy, as well as the rental process. However, the vehicle was unclean, smelled like marijuana, and had sticky stuff all over the door handles and consoles. Good thing for me that I only needed the truck for a few hours and had my own sanitizing wipes.

THELMA CI was lied to about insurance I was told $14 was charged $28 I filled gas tank up where it was I told the store owner it wasn’t full I was charged $18 I was charged for 2 days only had it one day I was ripped off I will never use uhaul again.

tania jHe rented me a flat truck and then he wanted to tell me it's not flat, I work with Buses. No I don't want to rent from him again. I told him I had my own insurance but he charged me anyway. To high!!! Money hunger.
Crystal BDoing the paperwork for the truck took some time and I had to keep moving out of the way for the store customers to make their purchases. It would be nice if there was a committed counter for Uhaul cuatomers.

JOHN SMy original pickup location was Zachary, but changed to Baker. I went to pickup the truck and the engine light was on. The representative insisted the light was on in most trucks and was rude about it. I followed another customer out was kind enough to show me there was no light on in his truck. I went back into the store and I insisted he give me a truck with no lights on because we have two women driving from Louisiana to Texas. I don't know what the problem was with this rep but the other customer appeared more concerned about us than the Uhaul rep. So sad. He finally provided us with another truck.
Chrishandra HI didn't have a problem with the pick up site in Baker really, but had scheduled my pick up to be on Airline in Baton Rouge and a day or so before pick up I was told I had to drive out to Baker to get the truck and dolly. They said they would give me a credit of 12 miles, which did me no good as I was under my mileage limit yet it was 24 miles to the Baker facility for pick up and then back and took time I did not have for the moving crew to come that morning as well.

I called the 800 number and the gentleman there was extremely helpful and moved my reservation to someone close to me that had the equipment. They were very helpful and friendly and I am so appreciative of the man at the 800 number
