I dropped off the truck with 93 miles of gas in the tank - 30 miles more than what I was originally provided during pickup, and I was charged a fuel surcharge of $12.70. The drop off location is a BP gas station, so it's a huge racket/scam for the facility to charge renters a fuel surcharge upon returning equipment. Thankfully Customer Service waived this charge.

eugene pFill the fuel level to full before renting the truck. When I received my truck the fuel gage read between 1/2 and 1/4 full. I added fuel to get it to the same reading when I dropped it off and they charged me for an additional 3 gallons of gas at 4.50 a gallon. If the tank was full when I picked up the truck I would have filled it back up instead of trying to guess how much fuel to add to get the level back to where it was.

I had to wait until they were open, and that put me behind schedule. This time, it was not a big deal. The folks were friendly and helpful, and I'll use them again, albeit without the before-hours option!

EDNA TTruck had a flat. Agent was unwilling to take care of it and wanted me to take truck anyway. Charged for estimated mileage instead of odometer reading.

Pablo REmployee had computer issues and the bill came out to bill me for 4 days, when only wants, took over 30 minutes to get the truck. Then when got in the truck the engine light was on,. Went back into the business, the employee stated to tighten the gas cap. That did not work. They did not have another truck to give me. I returned the truck early. I rented from another company. Poor service, they should not rent a truck with the engine light on!

Alex BThe people were friendly and the equipment was in good shape however for those renting a trailer they need to know that it's pretty much a self-service place and you have to have the muscle and strong back to lift the trailer hitch off the ground and onto your vehicle hitch. In the case of a double axle trailer that's a dangerous proposition for anyone with back issues.
David BFirst truck had a headlight out. Replacement truck had a broken cable to help the cargo door open. The driver door was damaged so wind blew in making a terrible noise. The trailer plug was not attached. There were no more trucks so I was forced to use the one with a broken cable.
Jennifer VHad to find trailer, connect and circle trailer through a tight gas station for inspection. Tons of traffic, seems like a bit of a risk for an accident.
Lisa ZEverything worked really smoothly. Very reasonable cost. Attendant explained the process completely and answered all questions politely. My go-to spot for rentals. The location at the corner of East Ave and Joliet Rd was easy in and out without a lot of traffic.

I had to convince a person on the assistance phone line that it was there for me by reading the number off the truck. The entire process was horribly slow. I will not return here again and will also never use a non-store pick up again.

Martha TFirst of all, though I had a not-so-great experience, I want to start by saying that the staff on-site was extremely nice and helpful. They all did a great job! Location was a little confusing and I was told to park my car in parking lot that had no camera coverage. The original truck in my booking was not available due to a vehicle malfunction, but the clerk on staff set me up with another available truck right away. The truck I received had a bunch of drywall debris in the back of the truck and the lock on the back did not work (it would not open).

Joe CAlso good. UHaul was a pretty good experience. Everything worked as expected. You have a good product. I rent one of those 3/4 ton ford trucks from enterprise, and pull a trailer. You can move anything. It might be interesting for uhaul to offer that class of truck as a rental. One stop for customers moving a motorcycle.
