When the key for truck was inserted, one had to finagle and play with the steering wheel of it to turn over. Other than that, service was very good and it was an in and out experience.NYDIA C.
I had reserved a 26' box truck from my local U-Haul dealer near Holliston, MA in Ashland. 1 - I had to travel 45 minutes and about 40 miles round trip out of my way. 2 - I was charged for those miles 3 - When I got on the highway the truck would develop a vicious vibration at the speed limit. 4 - It took over an hour to speak with a representative just to find out I would either need to wait for a repair person (could be a day or two) to insect the truck or exchange it at the location 45 minutes away. 5 - When I got to the location, the keys were unavailable for the replacement truck. 6 - The choice now became to take a smaller truck or chance the 300 mile trip with the current one in disrepair. We went with the smaller one. FYI... too small. 7 - Because of the lost time, we lost some of our help loading the truck. Bottom line. We as the buyer jumped through hoops to make the rental happen. Failure #1 U-Haul corporate could not communicate with the branch nor connect us to the branch. Failure #2 As the customer, I could not communicate with the branch. Failure #3 The U-Haul website hides the fine print as to the availability of the rental truck being at the chosen location or the cost to that would be incurred to go out of the customers way to pick it up. We placed our order at 4 am or a 330 pm pick up. When we arrived the truck was available but the motercycle trailer was not available at all. Both of which online was available. They had two on hand at the location with flat tires. If we wanted a motorcycle we would have to take the truck from them and go to another location for the motorcycle trailer. When they called to confirm the reservation they did not mention that there motorcycle trailers were down. Website ask what you are transporting and most people if not all would prefer to transport there motorcycle on a motorcycle trailer. safer that way. Be consistent.. I was told one thing from the person who checked me in and totally different from the person who checked me out, very confusing and cost more than expected. We drove 15 miles and put the gas exactly where it was and were still charges for gas?? Back in an hour and charged for whole day? Will go somewhere else next time.CHRISTINE G.
My overall experience with uhaul has been horrible. I have used them 3 times now and I will use a different company in the future. I can't believe this is how you treat customers. While in the store there was this "Karen" of a woman going nuts on the phone and directly insulting your staff. I have to commend them on how absolutely professional and courteous they were to this woman. They kept it together and we're immaculate. Give them raises. Over all I was happy. I do think the 24/7 app is good but it needs to move along quicker. I waited for over 15 minutes to get my truck. Also, I drove less than 20 miles and needed to put in almost 5 Gallons of gas into this truck. No way it was full when I picked it up.Scott T.

The initial contact with the receptionist was very poor, she never got up from her chair and spent more time looking at her phone. She never offered any services unless I inquired, leaving me trying to prod her for the services that came from renting a truck.JOSE O.

The location is one of the busiest in the area and they had one employee working the desk, poor guy had to deal with 10 customers in line while running out and showing people there trucks/hooking up trailers. The trailer I received had 2 tires that were about the delaminate and the fold down ramp pins were so worn that it looked like they would snap at any moment. This is probably the 20th motorcycle trailer I've rented and it was by far the worst one. Hopefully it gets an extensive refurb or gets retired.Herbert G.
