On the vehicle is says in town and one way. I needed to move a storage unit from woonsocket to Warwick. So it was better if I could bring the vehicle to a location in Warwick when I was done instead of having to keep driving it and passing more for mileage and gas. Despite the vehicle saying you could bring it to location I had to bring it back to the original place I rented it at. Then I had to wait literally almost 2 hours to complete the drop off procedure on internet. I used the vehicle actually maybe 6 hrs total if that including unloading n loading. I had to pay 170 bucks for the smallest truck and the only truck this location had. There truck itself ran well. I've used penski and did not have a hassle w penski before or a bill that high and penski let me drop off truck in the area I unloaded for convenience and less money.

I rented a U Haul on a Sunday night using the self pick up option that is available. You show up, and on your phone you can finish the transaction and access the key to a truck. I moved from Woonsocket to Cranston and had to make 2 trips, totaling about 100 miles. When I returned the truck on Tuesday night, I received a bill for 897 dollars, stating that I drove 710 miles. Frantic I called the owner of the shop the next day, although he was nice, he directed me to call corporate. I called the local headquarters and spoke to a woman that said the refund was being issued for 717 dollars. The very next day, I check my bank account to find ANOTHER 716 dollar charge to my debit card from the same location. We are now up to 1500 dollars for a 170 dollar transaction. After I was spoken to with so much disrespect, I was told that it was MY FAULT that I was charged twice because I used one of THEIR features of self pick and drop off. Then I was rudely told to call corporate in Phoenix. I spoke to a manager there after 18 differently people transfers me, and she put me on hold and hung up. I called my bank and got a supervisor on the phone with me to conduct a 3 way call. After another 18 transfers, we landed on the phone with the stupidest most idiotic human being I have ever spoken to, who was not only rude, but spoke the most improper English I have heard since 3rd grade. She told me that they were holding 716 dollars of MY money, to refund me MY money. Yes you read that right. She claimed they put a hold on my bank account on my own funds to refund me what they owed me. After a 15 minute banter where the bank rep used to simplest terms to try to gain a logical walk through of how this even makes sense, I cut the argument short and told the imbecile from U Haul to contact the credit department. She came back, although defeated, admitting that this was another charge, she got even more defensive and ignorant still trying to tell me and the bank supervisor who does this for a living, that it was MY BANK that was holding the 1500 dollars. I lost control. I told her that she was the stupidest human being I have spoken to in a very long time, and instead of apologizing for putting my bank account 400 bucks in the negative, and putting me and my kids out of funds for food and fuel in the car with a sick child with pneumonia at home, all uHaul reps did was deflect all accountability, blamed everyone else, and left me and my two kids with no funds whatsoever for 3 days. No food no gas money. Please use Budget. UHaul is an absolutely disgusting company hiring despicable illiterate ignorant morons. And the fact that the owner wouldn't do anything to help further gets 2 thumbs and 2 toes down. And I am still waiting for this â€œrefundâ€ of 1400 bucks.

Over charge thief not right never again going their
The man I met at the garage was friendly and helpful the supervisor I spoke to on the phone how ever was not. I got charged twice for my rental because I couldn't get it back â€œon timeâ€ but on the website it says all rentals are for 24 hours. I used the online reservation which is probably where I screwed up but I ended up paying what it would have cost to just hire a moving company. U-Haul will never get money from me again and I'll make sure all my friends and family won't either.
