First off I was rented a 15 foot box truck that had a engine knock and consumed a gallon of gas every 2 Miles yes that's 2 miles per gal. I feel ripped off taken advantage of and I put this directly on the operator of this facility. To rent a vehicle that is in such poor running condition and not often any kind of compensation or investigation into why it consumes 1 gallon of gasoline every 2 miles is fraudulent and a poor representation of uhaul. I will not ever rent from that location again. And I will spread the word to as many people as I can. I rate this despicable location 0.

Hi, I'm writing this review as an FYI regarding the experience we had during our most recent rental with uhaul. We went to the uhaul location (1600 Tide Ct, Woodland, CA) to set up our reservation on 11/20/18 for a rental the next day. The customer service agent was absent for around 15 minutes after we arrived, with no one attending the front desk. We were just standing there waiting until finally someone came. The interaction with him was awkward, almost like his mind wasn't there. The next day when we picked up the rental, the customer service was excellent, . This was with a different agent named Derrick. Upon returning the truck later in the day, we experienced the same situation (standing in the office for 20 minutes) with the agent from the previous day (I can't recall his name). Every door was unlocked (i.e. door to the warehouse and office), keys to 5 trucks were left on the counter, and the cash register had a key in it. Conceivably, someone (or people) could have came in there and emptied the register and stole 4-5 trucks. We were actually worried something happened and started yelling in the office and warehouse. Again when he came back it was like his mind was elsewhere (I hate speculating, but maybe he was high?). He said he was in the bathroom, but it's hard for me to believe the exact times we were there two days in a row happened to coincide perfectly when he was in the bathroom for 10+ minutes. Everything else was great though! Great location next to storage. Thanks, -Chris

The initial trailer I rented had dry rotted tires and cracked welds. The date codes on the tires we’re from 2011. This motorcycle trailer was unsafe in its present condition. I was able to exchange this trailer for a better one at the same cost. When I returned the trailer I noticed the motorcycle trailer back in the line with the same uncorrected problems. This needs to be addressed.

I rented a 17ft truck more than a week in advance at one location for Sunday, 9/23 and return on Tuesday, 9/25 by 9am. 2 days before I am picking it up, they call from the original location and state they don't have a 17ft truck, only a 15 ft or a 26 ft. I asked if he could check the area to see if there was a 17ft truck nearby. He called back and said he found one, but I would have to pick it up on Saturday, 9/22 at 4pm because the location the truck was at wasn't open on Sunday. They wouldn't charge me more for getting it early. I said ok. When I went there to pick it up, they were charging me extra for getting it Saturday because they are apparently open on Sundays. So I was there for over an hour with the customer service rep while she was speaking with someone with Uhaul about the issue. The girl that helped me was great, the person on the phone helping her was not. It was just a mess. You need to have better communication between different u haul locations. And when things are set up on line with a specific mileage, it shouldn't change when I arrive to pick up the equipment.

I am still waiting to hear from the manager (Dereck Van Tassel) in regards to the cleaning fee he assessed my truck. I called about 5 times and was re-routed to the corporate line. As always, customer service was great. They and issued a complaint on my behalf. Dereck called once but I was in an appointment. Unfortunately, he never followed up again and no one answers the phone at his location. I have picture proof of me and my team cleaning the vehicle at a car wash. We cleaned the engine, truck underbody, walk-up ramp, and the inside the cargo hold with a brush and power hose. There might be some dirt on the floor near the brake/gas pedals. If anything, the only issue might be my dirty boots after the carwash? Considering that we hand-wiped the interior of the cab, I find that an inappropriate reason to charge a $250 fee. In any case, I wish to clear this matter up as soon as possible. I am ready to submit pictures of the cleaning process if u-haul or this location needs them.

Everything was great. Appreciated the large parking lot. U-Haul representative was professional, capable and friendly, and rental van was fantastic. Only feedback would be to spruce up the store a bit. It was nothing special.

Don’t have sticky white powder coating the inside walls of the truck. It looked very clean with no visible black marks, but it left a sticky white residue on several pieces cloth furniture and ruined a bean bag chair that couldn’t be cleaned. Unacceptable.
