I was completely mislead by the estimated charges. I was very clear with the woman I was dealing with about where I was going and she even typed in the address. The total turned out to be 2 and a half times what the estimate said. I find that very shady

Vehicle was not available at my preferred location or the other three locations in my city, and I was not told this until after I had reserved! Had to drive to another city, and was charged for the mileage and gas. Doubled the cost of my rental. Buyer beware!

The facility was not a problem, however U haul caused extreme inconvenience to me. My reservation was changed multiple times and the location for pick up did not have my truck. It took a great deal of my own ideas and pursuading to have Uhaul find a truck that i had reserved a month in advance. The fact that I was doing the job they should have been doing to provide good customer service was infuriating. Once a truck was located i was then told I had to drive out of town to pick it up, mind you I had already been on a plane the night before to get my rental. The experience with Uhaul was horrible and if I had not made multiple suggestions to get the reservation I had originally, nothing would have been done.

The actual place uhaul sent me to wasn't a uhaul dealer. The address is U-Haul drop off location - 5840 SANTA FE WAY NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA 95660 http://uhal.com/iBWb7. You can Self Return your equipment at http://uhal.com/cM38a so I went to the next one. I was very impressed with them.

pick up u haul in 480 Pioneer ave in Woodland was a great experience for me. counter persons was very nice and pleasant very helpful...did not feel any uncomfortable instances. especially from an oriental background. unlike both u haul in davis.

*The did not have enough employees to help when I arrived. *They didn't know that I had done the check in online to shorten the time. *I ordered the tow kit online and they don't carry it, but the website let me order it. *They did not hook up the trailer properly and it came undone when we hit a bump in traffic. * On hold with roadside assistance for 30 minutes, not answer. *Called the dealership, no answer. *Same issues returning it.

My experience included my card being charged after I paid for my experience in cash. When I tried to clear up the confusion, after talking with my bank to confirm the charge, I was told that my claim was not true, that U-Haul's records did not show a charge, and that I needed to clear up the misunderstanding with the bank. My claim was true, and I had to wait two days for the confusion to be remedied. U-Haul reversed the charge after my bank made contact with them. I received no call of apology from the office for the mischarge, or for telling me that I was wrong in my claim of it. The office has made no effort to right things with me aside from reversing the charge. I feel this is terrible customer service, and will not recommend this office to anyone. The lady that assisted me when I reserved the truck, seemed a little put out and like she didn’t want to help me. I wanted a 17ft truck and they said the Woodland office never gets those. So reserved a 15ft truck. When I went to pick up the 15ft truck, there were two 17ft trucks being rented that same day, but yet they told me they don’t get 17ft trucks. Don’t believe them and push for a 17ft truck if that is what you are looking for. Everything else worked great.

We had a scheduled pick up time for noon... arrived at 12:02pm, to find the location closed for lunch until 1pm. I had to pay 4 movers each for an additional hour due to the schedule of this location. The appointment should have not been an option, if the location wasn't going to be open. Moving is stressful enough without this kind of obstacle.

It would be great to be able to rent a truck for a shorter time at less cost. I only needed my truck today for 3 hours, but I had to pay the price for 24 hours.

I filled the gas tank at a Chevron station in the same block as the U-Haul store on Pioneer to where the fuel pump shut itself off. However, when I turned in the truck the gas gage did not read completely full so I was charged for 1.9 gallons (@ $4.25 per gallon!). That's on top of the 5.0 gallons I had put in the tank. I only drove the truck for 19.7 miles. So either the fuel gage isn't operational or the truck only gets 2.85 miles to the gallon. Horrible!
