Too many hidden fees in renting from UHaul - ends up costing a fortune.

U-Haul misled me saying storage at this drop off location was free for 30 days. It turns out it is one of their competitor and it cost me 40.00. The competitor was friendly and said this is not the first time this has happened at her location with prior uhaul customers. Uhaul did nothing to reimburse me just simply said apologies not their company. Seriously I had no idea it was not affiliated with them and was going to cost me money.

The self-serve check in leaves a little to be desired. Had I known how much of a pain it would be, I would have just dealt with the actual person in the office.

Not the location's fault, but truck had reverse light out, check engine light on, etc, also truck interior was not clean, nor the back cargo area. The female working the desk there in the morning was AWESOME! Great Customer Service skills and energetic. She really placed a smile on my face.

We reserved a 15 ft truck and they changed it to a 20 ft truck which caused us to have issues getting the truck parked close to our loading and unloading locations.

That whole mobile experience was horrible. I had to stand in line even though I booked everything on the mobile app. Also, the trucks gas Tank was only half full not full as indicated in the paperwork. The associate at the location was very helpful, he made the experience a bit less painful. He is the real MVP not U-Haul.

Rubber gasket around drivers door kept falling off. I had originally asked for a trailer, didnâ€™t have one in sight so they referred me to a sight 6 miles out of the way. I had no desire to drive well out of my way and time to go get the trailer. I asked if it could be brought. I was told no This was all after I was told there was a trailer on my selected location. I ended up having to rent a truck which cost me a lot more money and when talking to customer service about adjusting the rate for me they said no because there was one in another location. I thought that was unfair since I was told I had a trailer where I needed it.

Charging a full days rent for 1.5 hours is an abuse and overreach of brand building. I will not use U-Haul again. Also, your website is deeply flawed, overly complicated and user awkward. Needs vast improvements.

I did not like this location after returning my uhaul. They charged me for a second day when I was only a hour and 20 minutes late returning my uhaul. I called ahead to let them know I was running late because I was still moving and the guy over the phone made a big fuss about it. He said I was interfering with someone elseâ€™s reservation, but I was told by someone else their reservation wasnâ€™t until 4pm. They charged my card again without me knowing until I arrived to drop off the uhaul. I had better uhaul service than this before.

Winston Salem Lockbox is a great location for U-Haul services and storage. The representatives are fast and efficient. My only issue was with U-Haul corporation that contacted me telling me to go to a different location to pick up my truck. Then, when I was at that location, called me again to tell me to go back to Winston Salem Lockbox. U-Haul corporation is no help whatsoever. As Clark Howard says 'customer NO service'.

My reservation was first with Boones Enterprises, and when I arrived he would not rent to me, said they closed at 9:30 am! I was not made aware of that! I was then sent to Jonestown and Justin the manager was great! I will definitely use this location from now on.

The location seemed busy and was only staffed by one person, so I felt bad that the situation looked stressful for the employee. However, he was very helpful with some problems we had with our reservation and did everything he could to make our pickup experience quick and painless. The equipment was clean and in great shape. We would use this location again!
