I did not have the best customer service at the location I went to go purchase the U-Haul truck for rental. Not very friendly and was not answering questions in clear details even asked to repeat the answer. I will also, there are many charges that were put on that shouldn’t be. For example, the insurance ($15) should be returned if no damage was done to the vehicle. Instead of keeping that $15. That would be more customer friendly instead racking up charges.

The customer service started out rocky and got worse throughout the rental. The people barely spoke English and instead of communicating with me, they would speak to each other in their own language repeatedly before telling me anything. The truck smelled strongly of cigarettes and had 'sensor issues' according to the guy. One of them being the gas gauge which constantly went up and down. I filled up on gas twice immediately before returning the truck and the guage dropped down substantially so I was told I needed to put more gas in.. 2 times! This is not the first time I have dealt with Uhaul people that can barely speak English. It makes the entire experience extremely difficult and stressful

I will NEVER use the service again. I was assured that there was no additional or hidden fees and NO unloading fees but the location I moved to told me the unloading fee will be charged for $800. When I phoned Winnipeg Regent store to sort this out, the woman I talked to just was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Worst customer service I've ever had. If the supervisor doesn't sort this out, I'm leaving an official review.

I booked an econoline van 2 weeks prior to my moving date at the end of August. I was assured that the vehicle was available for my specific day for a 3 o'clock pick up , but when I arrived.. there was no van in sight. I was told that they had rented the van to a person who had walked in that morning, and who promised to return the vehicle by 2 o'clock that afternoon. Well, he didn't, which threw our moving plans into chaos ! By 4'oclock we could not wait any longer for this person to return, and settled on a box trailer ( luckily, I had a hitch on my vehicle to pull it !) . Everything, eventually did turn out all right and the staff were very accommodating and apologetic, however, I do not think that they should be renting out a vehicle on the same day that I had reserved one, on the promise that it be returned on time. Was this all about money ?? Overall, a good experience otherwise, as I have used them before with no issues.

There was bag inside the truck which is like blanket. I didn't use it and they did not charge me for this. But I realized that it should be inside the truck because I had lot of stuff inside truck and this bag was using space.

The clerk who was on duty when I picked up the truck was busy and didn't do a walk around with me. I did one anyway and saw a series of smudges. When i returned the truck the 2nd clerk thought I had done what she considered damage. I didn't notice the minuscule rub-scratches associated with the smudges. I didn't do any of them. Isn't the check out clerk supposed to do a walk around? I sort of felt like I was being framed.

My location and time was changed, and the tow dolly ordered was not available. Staff are friendly but all seem to be frustrated at your computer systems. It was not the locations fault but a system issue

I arrived and the truck had the keys locked inside, staff stated it’s the customer before me that has to resolve the issue. I asked the staff for another truck or to call a lock service, and they had no other truck and refused to call a lock service. I went to the truck and had to help the previous customer get the keys out. Only to find out that the trucks battery was dead, and they don’t have a functioning pair of booster cables.. I found this out after attempting to boost the truck with another uhaul van for about 20mins. Finally the staff went to the repair shop next door after I asked for some booster cables that work.. so a mechanic came with a booster pack and boosted the truck. Only then was I able to leave, 1 hour later and with movers standing by that I was paying for by the hour. When I returned the vehicle they then had the never to charge me for fuel that wasn’t even under the thickness of the needle itself.

Your policy should be to have the fuel tank filled to the top when customers pick up the vehicle. It's wrong to ask people to "guess" where the mid-way mark is, since that is almost impossible to do and they customer will inevitably spend more money than necessary going over the mark. Best, Leigh

Well, they got the job done after a lot of delay and initial confusion. Clarity and professionalism rather than indifference from the young girl in pink sunglasses behind the counter may have helped. The truck's cab also still contained garbage, gloves and a few random playing cards from whoever rented it last. I felt the need to clean it myself so I wouldn't get dinged. Also, I may be wrong but I felt $75 for a 2 hour pick-up truck rental and minimal mileage was a bit excessive. Oh well!

Provide incentives or discounted rates for longer trips. Besides that, i have had many positive experiences with this location. The staff is always professional and on point. The equipment is always available, functional, and well maintained. Would definitely recommend this U-Haul location over any other in the city. Well done, True Blue Carwash!!

2 stars for clean truck and for the guy who nicely assist me with my complain (although unresolved and passed the issue to a rude girl). I can't believe it that they charged me by not refilling the fuel hence I did and went over what's stated on the contract. My gut tells me that one of their staff made an error with the reading and I have to bear the cost of ones mistake? for 10 miles (no idle) and returned it ASAP, unacceptable! Make sure to take photo of the fuel and mileage and keep your gas receipt if you wish to deal with this location.
