The windshield was covered in frost. The hood and the lower part of the windshield had sections of thick ice and snow, easily dislodged when driving and likely to blow up to obstruct the driver's view. There were used blankets strewn in the back box.

I've never rented a Uhaul before. I only needed it for one hour and drove 33 km. I drive a Civic so was surprised how much gas the van took to travel 33 km. I found the gas gauge confusing as I felt I refueled the vehicle to the same level as when I received it, yet I was told the level was not the same. It would have been helpful if the attendant took a photo of the gas gauge when I left as I truly believe I filled the tank to what it was when I left the lot. The gauge on the van was round, yet I was given a rectangular paper gauge that did not look like the dash display. I found this misleading and frustrating. When I started the vehicle an indicator light said the RR tire was low and air needed to be added. So I trooped back inside to tell the attendant. She knew this was a problem with the van. It would have been helpful if this was told to me at the start. It was a bitter cold day to be going back and forth, back and forth. Surprised that the cost to rent a van for little over an hour was over $50!

your website crashed when we checked in so there was a long wait , sales person was overwhelmed as people kept coming in , but she handled the pressure good for her, some people were not very nice to her. maybe they need newer computer or upgrade??

Haul chrarged me an extra day. As Haul issued me vehicle I gave my tentative schedule of giving vehicle back in 2 hour of time. I took vehicle and was late of my scheduled time coz of some unforeseen circumstances. After my 2 hour of time Haul charged me an extra day fee. No one at Haul explained this to us beforehand. 2nd issue of mileage.. coz of poor vehicle... I took 10 feet vehicle for 27 miles of travel and with weight bearing of 2 persons and 2 queen size mattresses it required 20 litres of Gas. Either mileage was poor or our meter reading was noted wrong.

I did not have the best customer service at the location I went to go purchase the U-Haul truck for rental. Not very friendly and was not answering questions in clear details even asked to repeat the answer. I will also, there are many charges that were put on that shouldn’t be. For example, the insurance ($15) should be returned if no damage was done to the vehicle. Instead of keeping that $15. That would be more customer friendly instead racking up charges.

The customer service started out rocky and got worse throughout the rental. The people barely spoke English and instead of communicating with me, they would speak to each other in their own language repeatedly before telling me anything. The truck smelled strongly of cigarettes and had 'sensor issues' according to the guy. One of them being the gas gauge which constantly went up and down. I filled up on gas twice immediately before returning the truck and the guage dropped down substantially so I was told I needed to put more gas in.. 2 times! This is not the first time I have dealt with Uhaul people that can barely speak English. It makes the entire experience extremely difficult and stressful

I will NEVER use the service again. I was assured that there was no additional or hidden fees and NO unloading fees but the location I moved to told me the unloading fee will be charged for $800. When I phoned Winnipeg Regent store to sort this out, the woman I talked to just was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Worst customer service I've ever had. If the supervisor doesn't sort this out, I'm leaving an official review.
