The vehicle had ice and snow on the windshield and running boards even though the storm was 2 days previous. Only 1/2 tank of gas... I was there at 730 in the morning and by the time the staff cleaned the vehicle and I had to put gas it I was 30 minutes later leaving than I anticipated. When I addressed this with the Uhaul staff he just stared at me and offered no apology. He argued with me when I told him I had no emergency contact person, even though I have rented from this location a number of times and have never been asked for this information... check in was very frustrating.

The manager at the location forgot to give me back my driving license I spend extra 28 km to get it back for no reason. I ask for credit and they said not there fault.

I called 2x before we picked up the truck and the girl assured me it was large enough for a 3 bedroom house. But when we picked it up it was the 17 foot one which was way too small. So we had to rent another truck.

The staff (Manager and Assistant Manager) were very helpful, explained everything very well and went above and beyond making sure that the hitch on our van was positioned properly so as not to have any problems while we used it. U-Haul's RV's and Tractor's..... Just had one of the most 'Interesting' weekends of our lives - For personal reasons decided to get a motorhome for back up hence this adventure..... Found this old but solid huge GMC Vanguard 3 axle'd 38ft Beast in Windsor Called U-Haul to make a booking contract: 92204722 on Friday to rent a car dolly 7 hours drive away at Windsor from my home in Tweed, explained the situation to Kyle the acting manager at Dougal Street Windsor that I'm driving 7 hours to pick up a motorhome that my Beetle does not have a hitch and that I need to get the equipment 3 blocks from them to the storage area - Assures me will be taken care off and that they will lend me a truck foc for 10 min's - receive 2 further calls confirming that day - 3 more on Saturday morning saying the equipment is ready waiting for us...... Set off 5am Saturday morning should have been 1.45am but set alarm inadvertently to PM Arrive at location equipment is not there Kyle wont look me in the eye defers to Luc until I ask for Kyle - then turns out dolly was never there but on a one way drop off from Ottawa - they say they have reserved one at 1508 Walker Rd - then wont give me a pick up truck because my credit card that was pre-authorized for the initial reservation is the wrong type and must go on a major card inferring in front of customers that people steal the pick up trucks – start to lose my mind verbally if he’s a manager then act like one finally gets a TM mover truck after I pay cash, drive to the other location dolly not there - apparently Kyle called them after I left to tell me on arrival - instead of calling my cell of which he had the number So we have to drive to 5340 Walker Rd got the dolly - drive it back to the storage yard where RV parked, return the truck to Dougal location and park it next too: a U-Haul dolly....... Ended up wasting 3 hours of our time sensitive journey after driving 7 hours get the dolly hooked up - they didn't give me the adapter plug from 7 to 4 pin so put the 4 ways on the VW - had to swap a inner dually flat tire on a 38ft motorhome – ok did that 30 min’s - then set off feeling exhausted - no rear lights or indicators on the RV are working so put the 4 ways on the VW and set off its finally come together feeling good making big wide turns at junctions no honking from anyone getting the hand of swinging 60ft around without destroying people - however getting dark in a strange city trying to avoid freeways as its needing to bed it from being stored 18 months allegedly, make it to Chatham-Kent stop at the LCBO & pick up some Chinese food - General Tao chicken for me the place is full of slappers just like its UK cousin decide to keep moving then lost power steering limp down highway 2 some 19 km along - then it suddenly boils over the whole things full of steam took 20 min' to stop - had to sleep on side of the road with maniacs passing over the speed limit, woke up next morning get underneath the RV got a f
My wife and I had a terrible experience. We showed up for our reservation with the truck fully loaded from another location and we were extremely stressed to find out the auto transport lights would not work. They were telling me they could rig it to work and worrying me saying if they rig it, it could catch fire. After 3 and a half hours of waiting around stressing and them giving me unreasonable excuses and blaming the other location. I was told they would help me for the inconvenience. After they fixed the problem and I missed out on 3 hours of saying goodbye to my family. They told me they can only take off 50$ and to let the other store take it out of there comission. This was extremely rude and I believe I was not accommodated at all. I was also charge for the auto transport twice and still not refunded for the one like I was told. This made my travel extremely difficult as I did not have enough money available. I am extremely disappointed and want this to be fixed.
