It was raining when i returned the 12 ft trailer and was told to back it into an opening 4.5 inches wider than the trailer in the mud. I had no help in backing the unit up in miserable conditions. I did, however, I a have a person help lift the tongue off of the hitch after I a 70 year old man and having back surgery, couldn't get it off becauce of the mud.

When speaking with your reservation system they had said I would have a truck 10/0/19 in North Adams, Ma location and 5 minutes before I was to pick up the truck I received a call from North Adams U - Haul saying that there was no truck available there. Then I had to call around to other locations within my locality to procure a truck.. luckily there was one available in the next town ...
The site was filthy with deep potholes. The insurance was automatically added without discussion of options.
We told the guy we wanted the 15 foot truck he put us in a 9 foot van. We also told him the truth from 3pm to 3 PM we got it from 3 PM to 7am so we had to hurry an move a 2 bed apt in one night, because another family rented the truck. I've used uhaul many times and never have I ever had problems.I am very disappointed.

Easy to deal with and quick to finish the drop off
The girl working behind the dsk did the paper work wrong, i was paying for the rental, my son was the driver who needed it,, she wrote it in my name, it was an indefinate date, was told he needed it 3 days or more...she wrote it from 9-4 @ 2:38-9-4 @8:30 pm....the key got lost...was w my son..i was stuck in a parking lot w no key for 28 hours, when asked what do i do, why does Uhaul not have duplicate keys ? can I get a lock smith ? I was told WELL I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU SHOULD DO? THEY WERE THE DUMBEST UHAUL DEALERS I HAVE MET, AND I HAVE RENTED OVER 8 UHAULS THE PAST 3 YEARS, saying no you can not get a locksmith !!...I then called branch..the first one told me to have it towed, just like the idiot in Williamstown..yeah, ok..$275 ( I think not) this is clearly a mistake on UHAULS part, YOU SHOULD HAVE EXTRA SET. of KEYS !!! Then I called branch the next morning after sleeping in the UHAUL over night..I have MS..it was not comfortable...and finally a smart cookie..she said who tols you , that you cant get a lock smith ? YES YOU CAN ! and so I did...the rep told me get the locksmith to call for the ok..walla done..I spent 28 hours stuck in the UHAUL because of employess who do not kjnow the PROTOCOLS or how to enter the correct info..I would like to be comped for the 2 nights I got screwed by the reps...I should of been told to call a loksmith right away, or better yet UHAUL SHOULD !! I am very , for the first time ever , DISAPOINTED WITH UHAUL !! And will publish my review online...
I have a general comment that gets less than 1 star. I reserved this Trailer approximately 5 weeks prior to my move in hopes to pick up in Kingston NY - 2 days prior to my move, I received a Text saying my pickup was Albany NY and when I called, the pickup point had now moved to Williamstown MA - I thought it was a JOKE! almost 2 hours from my house - your reservation system is not good and I am deeply disappointed in my experience this time with UHaul. I had to move so I sucked it up and drove over 2 hours to pickup. I hope to see some changes in the reservation system.
The folks at purple Valley automotive were wonderful. However, my experience with U-Haul has been horrible. I will be calling and complaining today there is way too much to type
I had to unhitch and by myself roll the trailer into a spot. No help whatsoever A truly painful experience for a 75 year old senior All in all not sure how your company survives
They did not have my reservation on file after placing it a few days prior. Thankfully they did still have the truck I needed to rent onsite. I was given two different invoices, which I asked to clarify with a manager, who was MIA and non-responsive. Poor customer service despite many attempts to correct this issue.
The people at the location were super nice. My problem was with U-Haul Their customer service was terrible. Every time I would try to contact them with problems in setting up my rental I was on hold for over 30 min and when I did talk to someone after several tries they told me it was a busy time for U-Haul and they couldn't help me. It was a very bad experience and I hope I never have to use U-Haul again.
They were great,extremely professional and helpful with the return process.
They did not come out an inspect the truck with me. Also I was unable to open the driver door and latch for cargo area frozen with ice. Had to use a hammer to open and close. Unable to clean the windshield as no washer fluid came out even while driving for 7 hours. Whashed at gas stations. Also the rear view mirror was not able to be moved for my visualizing vehicles behind or on side of the truck. Had to move my body to look when driving. Please in future have the pick up station be available to fix or assist. I am at fault as I just left without checking all these things but should be in Best working condition prior to my picking up. Thank you and the station staff was friendly.
Our initial reservation was made in Bennington. We reserved a 26 foot truck only to find out the day before that it was not available. This was a nightmare! We should have been told that it was not a guarantee... When I called the scheduling number the man I spoke with was great. He was very accommodating with adding miles and an extra day. This was helpful in the long run but the stress and aggravation was very difficult.
Have an appliance dolly next time.
Make the whole process less stressful. The man at Purple Valley was amazing. The customer service experience on the phone was not a good one with the uhaul representatives. The first time I was put on hold for 20 min and no one said anything after those 20 min. I was called while on the phone and asked when I was going to come pick up a truck from an hour away at the time I was supposed to pick it up. When I told the person on the phone that it was an hour away she told me that was the best they could do. Again adding to the already increased level of stress. If you are going to be renting trucks on the weekend there should be supervisors available to talk with customers when there are issues. The customer should not be told that they can speak to a supervisor on Monday.

This was where I wanted to pickup . UHAUL changed the pickup location and never let me know. Purple Valley was very helpful and made everything acceptable. Would definitely use them again.
The only one that can make the uhaul sell is never ther. The place it's so disorganized the truck was stuck on the yard beca use its mud everywere.
