The Uhaul POINT OF SALE MACHINE, which is A UHAUL device was not properly communicating with UHAUL. I feel that the companies that are doing transactions for UHAUL should be able to have a better working system. The one that you provide to your vendors is not a very good setup as the machine does not like to work and causes long delays to complete the transaction. This is NO FAULT OF THE VENDOR IT IS DIRECTLY UHAUL ISSUE!

Confusing as there was another uhaul right across the street. However I did not appreciate the phone call for trailer not being there after all the issues with the break down that they were not informed of and I am still waiting on some compensation for the extra costs I had to incur due to the breakdown. The people in this locations are great just sick of waiting on answers from management.

Tires were summer tires in the middle of winter. We got stuck just in the parking lot then I got stuck in the snow in my drive at. Then got stuck in the storage facility. I was charged $149.00 more as the truck I reserved was not in stock. I am on adult services who paid what was quoted. I then had to use my medical travel allowance to pay extra fees. The guy Victor put it in his pocket. The invoice does not show the extra cost from bigger truck. In all it was a very bad experience. I refuse to use u-haul ever again. I want the proper receipt showing the change in coat and truck. I have to give this to adult services other wise I have to pay the cost. Very stressful. Regards Cheryl huston

The truck was dirty, the gas was only 1/4 full. And illegal drugs ( marijuana buds) was in the cab. I had to stop to get gas and clean it out before crossing into the US. The truck road rough and I almost switched it out in Missouri but they did have any.

My experience was fantastic, good service, easy drop pick up and drop off. Only issues seemed to be on UHaul software end trying to process card and contract during pickup.

The seals in the rear of the trailer did not seal and the door would not close completely allowing dirt and water to get in and cover our contents requiring a lot of cleaning.

The uhaul representative at the pick up location was helpful, however the entire experience from the Saturday prior to my pick up was a nightmare. I made my reservation 3 months prior to my pickup. A month prior to my pickup I called and moved the by 3 because of a ferry issue. When I called my pickup location to confirm my reservation they had no record of the reservation and worst yet, had no trailers within 250 miles of their location. The pickup location then tells me that there is nothing they can do and i needed to call the controll office which I believe is in anchorage. Upon calling them I spoke with jolene and she tried to fix the problem with no luck. Now here I am with 2 vehicles traveling on a ferry to Haines Alaska and scheduled to pick up a auto transport but there isn't one within a 5 hour drive. I tried to negotiate my loses with Jolene and tried to get the transport for half price since this problem was now going to cost me a $100 worth of fuel a $100 ferry destination change and 5 hours of driving in the wrong direction. Jolene said she would call her manager Tracy and see if she could make that happen. Jolene called me back and told me that her manager Tracy wasn't going to allow a discount and do to the reservation being broken that I would get a $50 credit to my card. At this point I was pretty upset but had to bite the bullet because I didn't have any other choice. Finally I arrive in Whitehorse Canada to pick up my trailer and I am already running about an hour and a half behind schedule. I figured it would be a quick in and out process and get back on the road since I still had to drive another 2.5 hours to my hotel. Nope, something was wrong with a computer upgrade and I spent another hour and a half sitting at the uhaul dealers office while he spoke with Jolene again trying to fix the computer glitch. After it was all said and done I still haven't received my $50 credit and my entire trip was a day being schedule all because there was a disconnect between your reservation system and the field dealers. Worst part about this is your manager in the alaska control office wouldn't even help make it right by offering a discount. I didn't want anything for free but uhaul a mistake literally cost me time money and a whole lot of patience. I've used uhaul several times in my career but I honestly think this will be the last time. This experience has left a severely sour taste in my mouth that I will be sharing with everyone I work with presently and in the future. Tracy, you could have been much more human and had a little bit of compassion but no you couldn't even call me and apologize. Jolene on the other hand was very polite and in my opinion did everything she could have but your manager in the "control" office really has issues.

Making sure light connections all work, seals around the lights are good (as we had leaks in the trailer) and the chains are in good shape (as the brake chain broke half way here but we managed to Jimmy rig a link chain to hold it together). All in all more care and maintenance should be taken to the uhauls before handing it off to the customer.
