Davis Auto was great it was UHAUL i had more of a issus with those extra charges i had that truck for about 3 1/2 hrs i went to Brookfield from davis auto to south royalton vt to davis auto and thats not 63 plus miles Ill check it wth my car nope iam not happy

I ordered a 17-ft truck from a specific U-Haul location on the web site. A few days later, I received an email, telling me the truck was available from a different location. When the rental day arrived, I got another email, and in that one, the truck had been downgraded to 15-ft. I know this is not the fault of the rental location, but it still does not make me happy. I should have been offered a discount for the smaller truck.

They gave me someone else’s ubox and uhaul told me that the truck was ready when I arrived. It had someone else’s belongings! That would have been stealing if I had left with it! No thanks

Davis auto was great. The uhaul online reservation setup is horrible. Was really easy to make the reservation but the uhaul company changed my pickup site to 49 minutes away instead of 5 minutes even though the truck and trailer were already at Davis Auto. My reservation was cancelled and then the pricing came up $400 more than it should have. Took over 30 minutes to clear it all up. Davis Auto was great to get me through all of that but I will never rent from uhaul again.

My experience is ongoing. I chose U-Haul because it was the cheapest option for a 26' truck in the area. I got a call 24 hours before the reservation letting me know that only a 15' truck was available. It was too late for me to book another truck through another company. With a 15 foot truck, I had to make a second and 3rd trip for my move which was inconvenient enough, but added 50 miles to my mileage, and made the rental more expensive than all other options I priced out. The worst part is that when I picked up the truck it had 79614 miles on it, and a quarter tank of gas. My contract however said that the truck had 5/8 of a tank of gas, and 79491 miles on it. Having now returned the truck I was billed for 123 miles more than I actually used the truck, and an extra $120 fee for gas that was not used by me. I reported all of this the day that I picked up the truck. That was 5 days ago, and I've been trying to correct the situation with the location every day since. They are dragging their feet, and acting like they're doing me a favor. I will never use U-Haul again.

I am still waiting for supervisor to call me about all the mixed up pick up locations I received and all the excess charges you have charged me and how many hoops I had to jump just to find trucks that were confirmed wrong!!

With regards to the "actual" drop off address on U-Haul's Contract: The "Destination Address" was listed as White River Junction, VT. This proved to be confusing, given the first location I went to, (Ballardvale Drive?), didn't have me on their "return schedule". As such, I was redirected to a "Fred Davis", located at 1350 Rte 14. Whilst the actual return address may have been sent via email, I believe it could also be printed on the hard-copy contract form. Upon reaching 1350 Rte 14: Admittedly, I was a wee bit upset at the aforementioned runaround. That said, I'll give Linda (Hewitt?) kudos for her handling of the situation. Let's face it ... It wasn't her fault!

Super great folks here at Davis Auto in White River Junction. Corporate UHaul completely dropped the ball on my truck return location with their awful online computer reservation system and inability to fix or care enough to make right on their mistakes after I called their customer support, dispatching, and trafficing departments three times. What UHaul did was automatically over road my original agreed upon drop off location and changed it on me after I rented the truck and then tried to surcharge me to death for their own incompetence even though I took the truck exactly to where the reservation was agreed upon to go. Both the owner and manager of Davis Auto got on the phone immediately with UHaul corporate and argued in my defense and over road UHaul customer support after they refused to fix their own mistake while the three of us clearly explained the problem to UHaul in a conference call while standing at the return counter. Davis Auto came to the rescue, Big Brother UHaul has gotten to big to fail and could learn a lot from these folks in Vermont on how to treat their repeat customers. Davis Auto gets an A+++. UHaul corporate you should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope the president of UHaul reads this and calls me up personally and looks into this bungled truck rental case and the 6x12 enclosed trailer I tried to rent the day before from a different location that I had to shovel out of a snow bank in order to pick it up and then discovered it had a flat tire and missing wiring harness and was unrentable leaving me me high and dry on my scheduled move.

I was an hour late and was charged an extra day. I can understand if it was a weekend but it was mid week and there were other trucks sitting there.It was only $100 but that is a lot for me. Next time I will go with Ryder

I was given a few options of where to drop off the trailer. Bob's Service Center in White River Junction immediately refused to accept my drop off saying the I wasn't in the computer holding my paperwork in his hands. Then he proceeded to tell me he had no room for this 5x8 drop-off when I could only see one small trailer and one truck in his yard My feeling is this person should be fired from his position or this U-haul dealer should have his dealership revoked. Davis Auto was great!!

Was I supposed to be charged $28 for the Safemove insurance? I thought it was $14; that's what it was when I made the reservation online. Did I get charged for two days of it? Was I supposed to? If so, why didn't the online reservation generator say so?

I wanted to pick up at a closer location and was told I couldn’t even when I called the location and they said the truck I wanted was available. When I told called Go Uhaul they would not change the location or compensate for the extra mileage for this location. I have used Uhaul many times in the past and also have a storage unit. I was very disappointed in this recent transaction. I also picked up the truck and not only was it not clean I’m the back but it also hadn’t been started to warm up. It was 20 degrees that day so we had to take an extra 15 minutes to let it warm up. I will be re thinking my next rental with another company.
