The safety chains on the trailer I used we not legal in ontario. I have to go thru scales, the m.t.o. never checked, but if they did it would of had to park the trailer. Unit was not swept out, for what I was hauling, no big deal.

Not happy with a few things.....First, 1-800 representative put in 900 days needed for a 15ft. truck when it was supposed to be 900km. I was informed that I would get money back upon return of truck if I brought it back from Sudbury from 1-800 representative. I received nothing and was told by independent agent in Whitby that this was obviously untrue. I waited 30min upon returning vehicle for agent to fix everything without an apology or care. I spent $300 in gas to drive from Whitby to Sudbury and back which is outrageous. When I told the agent this he laughed. Will not use U-Haul again as it has been an unprofessional experience for a second try. You folks need to fix these issues. Sincerely, Warren Robertson 289 830 513t

Marcl of the Whitby location, quoted a rate of .49cents per KM and I was charged .59 cents per KM and he agreed that he quoted the .49 cents and would credit me back the difference of $3.76 but to date I have not received the credit. I received an email stating that the rate has changed and U Haul appoligize for the wrong information. This is not acceptable as upon checking the website the rate was showing .49cents. I am truly disappointed and that is false advertising and giving information, and I will not rent and recommend anyone to use U Hall. Kindly credit me my money as promised my Marcl of the Whitby store and make this right!

I drove 17 miles. Put $10 in gas which was more than I used. They still charged me over $20 for gas. I rent trucks from another uhaul location at least once a month and I never had this happen. I always fill up. I am not happy.

Only problem at this location is the parking. Can take a while for staff to move trucks around so you can get the unit you need. Aside from that no problems. Staff is friendly and helpful. I will use them again.

I waited 30 minutes to only call a contact number and ask" is anybody going to be here this morning (Sunday)"? I am here to drop off my rental, nobody told me during pick up that when I return the rental to just put the key in the drop box. However, I am pleased that they sent me the email confirming my mileage in and that I left the van with a full tank. I thoroughly enjoyed driving the van, it was great for moving my son back to University.

Horrible customer service and poor attitude! Price quoted and agreed to TWICE for kilometre charge was $0.49/km. When I picked up the van I noticed the document I received showed a rate of $0.79/km. I mentioned this to the lady at the desk and she said not to worry as the final bill will reflect the $0.49/km. When I received my final online invoice I was charged $0.59/km. I immediately emailed the office as per instructions on the email I received. The link did not work and said the email address was invalid. I then called and left a voicemail which was never returned. I went to the store personally today (August 30th) and was shocked at the attitude and lack of customer service I received. She said there was nothing she could do about it as it was too late to do any adjustments and she complained that "head office" always changes things without advising them. She said I should call head office and talk with them. This was unacceptable and for a credit of $7.91 was shocking to me that it was not amicably resolved. This will be the last time I will rent from U-Haul as it was a completely unprofessional experience. Mike 416-720-0427

Very friendly and accomodating. U-haul website and online booking absolutely terrible and user unfriendly, even the dealer had trouble with it. I did everything over the phone and in person to ensure we got it right.

The van we rented was clean and well maintained . Unfortunately the staff member that took care of us, on Sat, Aug 5th, was rude and very unpleasant to deal with. There was also an issue with my invoice, I was overcharged and the person I spoke with on the phone on, Tues, Aug 8, also was very rude. I am unsure if it was the same person but they both were not pleasant to deal with in any way. Also the "secure" key return box was very unsecure. It was a lock box that was free standing, meaning it was not attached to anything that would prevent someone from taking the box and removing the keys. When I mentioned my concerns to the staff member she said it was Uhaul's issue and that they just rent the vehicles. I found this a very poor answer. I will not rent from that location again.
