We really, really appreciated the assistance in finding the right sized enclosed trailer at the last minute. This was needed once we determine the smaller trailer wouldn't work for what had to be moved across country. If it wasn't for the larger trailer numerous items would have had to be left....thrown away! Because of this help, the move was made falsely.

While I gave great scores to the location I picked up the truck and trailer, I am not satisfied with the Uhaul experience and process. I ordered a 26 foot truck well in advance because I knew I had a moving date of June 25 and had to be out of my condo by 3pm. I requested a 26 foot truck to pick up in Newbury Park on the app and drop off in newbury Park. Keep in mind, the app acknowledged that my truck pick up and location would be available. Two days before my pickup date a uhaul rep called me to notify me of a change in location and change in time for my requested truck. They said a truck would be delivered by 10am and then I could get it at 1030am. This wouldn't give me enough time to pack the condo before my 3pm deadline. I changed the truck to a 20 foot truck because I could get it sooner (8am). After filling the 20 foot truck by 1pm, I still needed more space and was forced to get a trailer because that was my only option. So now, I had to pay for a truck that was too small and pay for a trailer just to finish my move. On June 26 I received a phone call from a uhaul rep notifying me to return my truck And trailer to newbury Park. I could not do this because I left my car at the Westlake village facility and I didn't have anyone in town to help me out. I also expressed my frustration with the process and she told me she would place a complaint on my end so a manager can call me. A manager never called. I told the uhaul rep this will not work for me and she told me just to leave it at Westlake village location. When I dropped the truck and trailer off this morning (June 27), I was told by the rep that it needs to go to newbury Park. I explained to him that I couldn't do this because my car was Westlake location and had no one to help me. I expressed my frustration to him and he acknowledged my frustration and was sympathetic to my situation and experience. He went above and beyond to help me by taking the truck to the newbury Park location for me when he got off of work and promised that a manager would be calling so I can formerly give a complaint. A manager still has not called me.

Worst customer service. Staff is rude. I was charged 3 times and never admitted fault.
Truck was not cleaned before pickup. Food and rodent droppings found in "attic" of truck.
Very easy no problems. The person who checked me in was very polite and professional. Good parking nice an open.
Truck was brand new (950 miles), but inside of truck was pretty dirty

Stuffed in the back and hard to find the office. Had to search for help to pickup and drop off. The truck was filthy. Windows were difficult to see thru even after using the window washer to clean them up. Low tire pressure experienced during the rental. Visually obvious and should have been resolved before sending the truck out. You should close this place down. Gives U-Haul a bad name.

I called to find out when they close shop. I was told 7 pm. I planned accordingly but nobody was there at 6:30 pm. I searched the place, looked at the office. I needed help talking off the trailer. At 6:50 pm I called Reno where I picked up. The attendant there waked me through the process getting the trailer off the hitch.No, not a good way to run a business saying the shop closes at 7 but everybody is gone by 6:30 or even earlier.

For a drop off location it's fine. But it's not a typical U-Haul location. More of a warehouse type of place. Friendly.

Manager or employee was rude and unprofessional. he was snotty and full of himself. Yard looks like trash dump.. There is no parking available on the lot. He threatened to tow my car despite not having any of the legally required parking restriction signs posted. I was was forced to park at neighboring business. he claimed he had 40 vehicles to park there but the lot was empty and filled with trash and old tarps. Our conversation came to words I don't care to repeat. You are in danger of getting sued if you don't comply with legal signage for parking and handicap access. I have had great experience with the Agoura site but will never use the Thousand Oaks site again. Truck was nice but filthy inside.
There was a smoke smell in the cab of the vehicle - would recommend to air that out next time.
