The only disappointment was there was no ramp included with our 10' truck. It was too much trouble to go back to the place so we had to lift all of our bins without it. That is the only reason why I did not rate it excellent. Charlie was very friendly. I really appreciated his customer service. He deserves a raise!

your trucks should have cruise control, the transmission was very difficult and you should not charge 99 cents a mile. I paid 450$ for 7 hours, thats crazy. I will definitely shop around next time

The people who were working on Sunday 7-16-17 were rude crude and unacceptable. I would go to another Uhaul dealer before I return there. I also told people I know never to go to South Road Uhaul go some place else if you want good service. Carol Crow

Just a bummer I have to pay for a whole extra day for an extra 2.75 hours. There should be some sort of grace period. I rented at 2:15pm and returned it the next day at 5:00pm

Not much guidance was given. I was a bit nervous having to drive a big vehicle. It was my first time renting from uhaul. I walked in store and my greeting was "contract #?" Followed by "ok credit card & ID... initials here and signature here. Ur vehicle is in lane ##" then gave me keys . That's it No other conversation. I know it was busy but all in all it was easy. I figured out myself the after hours drop off process and where the key box was located. Not hard.

When you charge for the day , but inform the customer that there is a time limit such as 4 hours, there should be a prorated fee! The service personnel attempted to explain to me that 4 hrs constituted a day? I was always lead to believe that 24 hrs was a day. If I shall have to use a truck again, UHAUL will be the last company I use and/or the last company I suggest to anyone.

To clarify, I'm a single mother trying to relocate with her child. I had one person who was available to assist me this holiday weekend. When I called Your location to rent a truck for Sunday I spoke with a lady who advised there were no trucks available on any location for the morning time. The earliest was 5pm then 2:45pm for a different size truck. Prior to this information it sounded like she had no idea what she was doing or talking about which has to be true because I was able to rent the size truck I needed for the time I needed ONLINE! It was a waists of time talking to her! Your company almost lost my business and I would not have been able to move had I listened to her! Our conversation went as follows: me: hello, i wanted to see if you had a truck available for Sunday at 8am. Her: oh are you moving? Me: yes Her: how many bedrooms? Me: 2 Her: ok so are you moving furniture? Me: um yes Her: can I have a card # to place the rental on hold? Me: provided her with my card information Her: the total is $114 plus environmental fee, and mileage Me: um I rent from uhaul all the time and it's always end up paying around $40 for this size. Her: oh yea your right. $29.99 plus environmental fee and mileage. Her: ok would you like the morning, afternoon or evening? Me: the morning at 8am (which I had already told her) Her: sorry the earliest is 5pm or 2:45 for another size. Me: do you have another location that has one for 8am and I can drop it off at your location? Her: No we are all booked. Me: ok I will call you back Her: I will need your card # Me: I already gave you that information but I don't need a truck for the afternoon I only have help in the morning so I will call another company and maybe call you back. Her: ok just know we are limited as you can see. Me: ok bye I told my cousin of this conversation and he immediately went online reserved everything for me in a matter of minutes and not only did I get the size truck I wanted but the time slot I needed. Had I listened to her I would have been stressed, unable to move and you would have lost business that day. My experience at the store was great! Everything was smooth from behind to end. Charlie took care of me immediately upon arrival and when I returned the young man was quick, nice and efficient. So although I would recommend this place to a friend I would only recommend to reserve online as some of your associates have. I clue what they are doing! Great job Charlie and young man who took the truck back as they turned a negative experience into a positive one!

The staff was great!! When i picked my trailer up the location was insanley busy, but the staff managed the pace great! Dropoff was top notch and the staff even helped me out with verbal commands to back the trailer up when I said I'm a novice. The West Hartford location will be my goto from now on!

I always contract the night before I pick the truck in the early morning, before Uhaul opens, but the assistant manager indicated that I had to take the truck with me. Later the manager called, and I mentioned that I have been doing this for years, but he indicated that I won't be able to do it anymore. I won't be able to rent from Uhaul again. Also, the gas gauge was making 3/8 of a tank, and the paperwork showed 7/16.

Vehicle return process slow... They did get busy with 5 trucks arriving near same time. But was it necessary for attendant to hit each tire with club? And have renter check turn signals? That what caused the tie up!

When a customer places a reservation at a specific location, it would be helpful to work with the customer if a truck ISNT AVAILABLE THERE before booking a truck almost an HOUR away! We had so much stress the day before our truck was rented bc we were provided a truck 45 min in the direction we were going, which would have added 1.5 - 2 hours to our day just to get the truck. I was not happy with that process.
