Attempted to perform remote unlock at 8:30am but system was unable to verify facial recognition after several picture attempts. Had to wait until 930am until local representative confirmed my order in person and gave me the key. Overall experience was good but remote access needed to be fixed if U-Haul will claim to provide this service in the future.

When using the app you should make sure you tell people upfront that they will be required to provide to contact phone numbers that will be called prior to releasing the vehicle. This part was completely unknown to me at the time and I spent 15-20 minutes standing outside in the cold waiting for this to be resolved. After verifying who I was I shouldn't have to give two phone numbers for your customer service to contact. Fortunately the gentleman inside came out and assisted me. He was amazing and I cannot say enough, how much I appreciated his assistance. Very good customer service skills and glad he came out to ask how things were going.

Computers or Uhaul program was VERY slow, at checkin and checkout. Liquor store not my first choice, but only truck that size was available there.

The bathroom was filthy - the toilet hadn't been cleaned in ages and you had had to maneuver around a snow blower they had stored in the tiny bathroom. I had to pull the trailer out of a snow bank, hook it up, and check the lights myself - no one helped nor checked if I had done it correctly.

The tires on single axle trailer were bald not having proper thread wear. I had to wait 45 minutes to one hr for one man attendant to drop trailer in Shelbyville, TN 601 Madison st, 37160. The attendant didn't have any tools for loosing the hitch nut, which was too tight for loosing by hand. Therefore I had to drive my Honda vehicle with trailer 1/4 miles to Advance Auto store to borrow a pair of chandler lock pliers for loosing the hitch nut then drive back to the drop off point. I Waited an additional 10 min after arrival while attendant waited on his other store customers. This was a very bad & unpleasant experience. Please address these issues so no one else have experience what I did. Thanks Jimmy

The location was a liquor store. The individual who was working there was nice enough, however the store was dirty and in a hard to get to location. I asked to use the restroom and the attendant gave me a key and said it was on the outside. When I went over to the bathroom and opened it, it was filled with multiple lawn mowers and gasoline cans. There was no way I could use it. When I was online at the Uhaul website, I selected blankets and I wanted to purchase a hitch ball mount, but when I was at the store, he told me they did not carry any of these. We were in such a rush to meet the movers that would be loading that we did not get a chance to go to another location to get the blankets, and I had to drive 5 miles away to purchase a hitch ball mount. This was a completely unreasonable situation, and completely unacceptable. It was the worst experience I had ever had with UHAUL and would never go to this location again, not EVER!

Owner showed up 15 minutes late. Customers waiting. First thing he did was package up bottles of vodka for his girlfriend . He could not do paperwork and was rude. Never apologized. Place and trailer were dirty

Do not allow this location to be an authorized dealer of U-Haul. Patel Montu (an employee of the gas station) has absolutely no idea what he is doing. He had to make several calls (I assume to U-Haul) because he couldn't figure out why my boyfriend's card wasn't taking. He swiped it about 10 times. This whole process took about 45 minutes and made us late to our appointment. Patel would finish part of our rental process and then ring up gas station customers and then finish another part of the process and would repeatedly do this. I am very upset about this whole experience and I expressed this to Patel. He said the system "isn't working". Well that isn't my problem!! I could have done the reservation online and just walked in to pick up they keys which would have taken a fraction the time (I would hope). Patel also upgraded us to the SafeMove Plus Insurance without our approval. He pointed out insurance for $8 and we agreed to pay that but he charged us $28 for SafeMove Insurance. This employee is negligent and incompetent and does not know the U-Haul system at all. I will never come back to this location and will heavily consider using U-Haul in the future. Patel seriously needs to be cut from the U-Haul company or however that works...he shouldn't be renting any equipment to anyone. He was very rude and blamed all the problems on his end to me and my boyfriend. That is just the basics but bottomline do NOT rent from this location!!!
