When I made the reservation through the U haul call center I said I was calling to make a reservation at the 11 Mile Rd location.They never told me there were no vans available at the 11 Mile and John R location we normally use. It would be helpful if they said there are no vans available there but your van is at 13 Mile Ryan. We showed up at the 11 Mile location and found out the van was at a different location.

This was the first and last time I will use Uhaul. The staff was not very friendly/helpful. Upon arriving to pick up a truck I went inside for help. They ended up switching the truck I was already registered to, and giving me a different truck. When I asked why, the man said they had to give me a local truck. I was aggravated as the truck I had already checked was nice. He asked me to sign & initial saying everything was okay with the truck, I expressed I didnt feel comfortable doing so without doing a checklist of damage since I hadnt even seen the truck they were switching me to. He said I didnt need to worry about it because I had gotten insurance. I said I didnt care, I still felt uncomfortable signing without seeing the truck first, as Im the one who will have to pay. He just kept saying that I really didnt need to worry about it & to just not mess up the roof. Feeling frustrated I signed, since he was clearly going to be unwilling to go over the vehicle. He went out to pull the truck up and it was in far less maintained condition as the first one. I walked around it to check it out & I saw a hole in the top right corner of the truck that had not been marked. I asked him to either sticker or initial it before we left. He circled it on my paper and proceeded to tell me to check the gas and mileage. I found this switch to be unsettling because the first truck I had was in the front of the line ready to go, and they actually moved it to give me this "local truck" that had Arizona plates. I truly hope I wasnt discriminated against and given a worse truck because Im a woman. I was so uncomfortable throughout the entire experience, and hate feeling like a burden when I am in a place of customer service. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone.

Take a more accurate reading of the gas gauge. The gauge in the truck leaves a lot of room for error because it's not granular. I paper said 3/8 gas when I took the truck. It was slightly less than that. I drove 17 miles and was charged for 4.5 gallons because the needle moved closer to 1/4. If your truck get 4 miles to the gallon you need to get new ones.?

Online reservations, pickup/dropoff is always fast and easy. The equipment is always clean & in excellent condition when I pick up to use for deliveries. I really like this Uhaul location as they have a very nice selection of trucks, vans and equipment as well as propane fill ups. The 13/Ryan location is excellent!

This whole situation ended up working out, but it did not go as planned. I called the evening before to see if a 4x8 open trailer was from the Madison Heights location. I realize this was last minute, however it was a quick idea and I thought I would just call and find out the charges. Never expected the charges to be reasonable. According to the operator it was and I reserved it (who was super nice and I later found out was a call center). Then I receive a text in the morning telling me the trailer was NOT available and I would have to go to the Warren location. This caused some serious issues into our plans and delayed our travel by about 3 hours. Changing someone reservations after the fact is not acceptable. When returning the trailer I went into the store to find out the process and she said "drop it off out back" and I asked "if someone was going to come out or assist" she says he went out there with you (with a rude tone) and I said "Oh I'm sorry, he never said a word to me and therefore I wasn't aware he was out there to assist me". She replies "yea, he can be an ass sometimes". I walked away and my husband was able to unload the trailer. I went back in to see if there was anything else I needed and he simply handed me the receipt in a manner as though I was bothering him. He never said Thank you or have a good day or hello for that matter when I came in. The outcome here WHEN and/or IF I need to use U-Haul again I will call several times to confirm the reservation and I will not use this store.

This is the 2nd time I have rented from this location and the trucks cabs have been dirty both times. This last time there was actually a pair of men's underwear in the door pocket storage. Other than the trucks being dirty the rental was OK.

Was charged for gas even though the guy from previous day signed off on the gas issue. When we went back to get refund the gentleman who waited on us, yes we got what we wanted but he had zero customer service skills. Was very disappointed.

Waited with trailer 20 minutes and no one came to check me in. They did check in a truck that came after me and continued to ignore me. I finally unhooked the trailer myself and left.

Make sure that a trainee is not left alone to have to serve customers, if he/she needs help with the process. Also, the clerks should at least acknowledge customers when they walk in, instead of just continuing what they are doing, or even just walking away to do something else, before they even speak to you. I must say though that the girl was very nice, once we finally got to speak with someone. Thank you.

Last time I rented I was charged extras out of nowhere, pease make sure that doesn't happen aggain or I will be disputing the charges this time I did go ahead and square up with the clerk inside of the building and turned him in the keys so I don't expect any pending charges to go through on my account pleasure doing business take care of thank you

Horrible service. I went there and walked into an entirely empty store. Stood there for 10 whole minutes before the only employee working there finally came inside. Stole money from me. Charged me 50 extra miles. Called me a liar. Disrespected me in their store. Made me feel ridiculous. Could not return any of my calls and made me take time off of work to fix their screw up. 0 out of 10
