There is no key drop at this location which was not made known to me at the time of reservation. So, instead of having the truck for the 10 hours indicated, I had to return it after 6 hours. I had taken the day off work to clear out my recent deceased mothers apartment so this was a financial impact to me.

Personnel very nice and helpful. The truck wasn't ready at 12:30 per my reservation. That was a bummer and added extra time to my move. Everything else was great.

Positive: Reservation, rental and return process was smooth and efficient. Negative: The 15' truck had not been cleaned and required sweeping to remove dirt, hair, nails and large shards of broken glass before use. Fortunately, I had brought my own broom. UHaul should be compensating the inconvenienced customer the cleaning fees you would normally charge for a dirty truck return if the businesses are not diligent in their vehicle preparation.

Customer ahead of me did not have a truck available eventhough he made a reservation. I had to wait 20 minutes while he was being served and he eventually went to the Concord location. I made a reservation for 7 AM. Truck was not available at 9, much less at 7 A.M. Agent was very polite and helpful, but your systems don't work effectively.

The U-haul i picked up had large shards of glass broken in it. I cut myself trying to remove them. I find that unacceptable.

The app did not work. I dropped off the keys at 7pm the day of my rental, but was checked in as "returned" the next day at 12:30pm. This was passed the 24 hours and I was charged for an extra day. Unacceptable.

Deceptive pricing upset me and my company. $19.95 as advertised became $75+. Will not recommend UHaul to my company, friends, or clients. UHaul should be more honest.

It was really nice that the owner/worker there opened up the store early. I was able to get my truck at 8:30 rather than 9am! This was a huge help.

Well the service rep did not go out to show us which truck we were going to rent so we had to keep looking and looking till we finally said something to him that wasted precious time got in the truck it was on empty had to get gas there was no air conditioning that worked and it was very hot the truck ran really rough. And they charge my credit card twice .

I specifically asked if all I had to do was drop my keys for after hours drop off and the location said yes. Unfortunately, after 4 hours of moving heavy kitchen appliances I came back to drop my vehicle there was an unknown mobile check out that I had to go through. I understand that a checkout is necessary, but I specifically asked what the process was and they said just drop your keys. It was late at night, in a strange parking lot and as a woman I did NOT like being surprised with that.

I rented one of your trucks for a day. I picked it up in Walnut Creek, and returned it at the Bay Shore Boulevard facility. I also rented a utility dolly and a set of furniture pads (“blankets”). When I returned the truck I was told that everything was fine and that I could leave, and that that the receipt would be sent to me by e-mail. It was only after I left, about an hour later, that I receive the receipt and notice that I was charged a $25 “cleaning fee”. Since I left the truck clean (exactly the same as received), I called customer service assuming it was a mistake, because nothing was mentioned about folding the blankets either when I picked them up, or when I dropped off the truck. When I called the customer service representative told me that the fee was for re-folding some of the blankets. I do have to say that I folded most, but not all, of the ones I was given, but for no other reason than I was not told they had to be folded. If a $25 dollar fee was going to be charged for simply folding some of the blankets, I would have expected your representative who took care of the truck when I dropped it off, instead of saying that everything was ok, to have mentioned that. Further, nowhere in the contract that I was given does it say that the blankets had to be folded. If that is a U-Haul policy, I would have expected that to be mentioned when I picked up the truck. More disturbing still, your customer service representative was extremely rude and hung up on my when I called to explain the situation. This is completely unacceptable. I honestly would have expected more of the company. Our family has used U-Haul for decades, and this is the first time I have been mistreated in this way, to the point that I am seriously reconsidering my loyalty to the company. I expect more of U-Haul, and especially for long time customers.
