Customer service was below average. The U-Haul itself was in decent condition, but had old combs and brushes on the dash, and was missing the piece used to roll down the window. I was told the U-Haul was full of gas when I picked it up but i had to put 8 gallons in when I dropped it off to bring it to full. My trip was about 25 miles. When I brought this up to the customer service rep, she said it gets poor gas mileage. This would mean I was getting 3 miles per gallon for a small 10ft truck. Either it was not full, or there was something wrong with the truck. Either way, the customer service rep dismissed my concern. With so much conception in this area, customer service sets you apart. I will drive a couple extra miles to try for a better experience next time.

My roommate & I had recently moved to Atlanta, where we needed to move furniture from IKEA to our new apartment. We picked up from the Your Extra Attic Vinings, Atlanta U-Haul location and went to IKEA to pickup furniture, dropped everything off at our house, and returned the van with a full gas tank during our given time period (around 8:30 for their after hours drop off). We parked the van back where it was originally parked and where we were told to leave it, dropped the keys in the drop box, and left. I receive an email the following day (today) which informs me of an "damage" report, which was filed. This was already posted to my account before I was informed, and there was no questioning, etc. asking what had happened (since nothing was reported, I would assume that they would call to investigate/confirm) Afterwards I called in to be informed that WE had damaged the vehicle, "scraping" it down the passenger side. I had to ask for the photo evidence (of both the odometer and the Van), because something fishy was clearly going on as we DID NOT damage this vehicle. Photos were then texted to me (from presumably an employee phone or the like) and no further response/contact was made. From the beginning, the sales woman working at the desk was abrupt and uncourteous. With that being said, the van's current condition was not mentioned, nor was there any indication made as to what van we were taking. It wasn’t until after we were hurriedly pushed to sign the paperwork did we even know which vehicle we were receiving... meaning that in the process of forcing us to sign the paperwork to get a vehicle and keys, there was literally no way for us to see/inspect the vehicle. Upon use, we did notice small scuffs, but nothing concerning considering they did not mention any issues upon pickup. Now we are being charged for what was a preexisting condition of the vehicle. I will not allow these charges to go through until proper due diligence is performed by both the branch of this incident, as well as by U-Haul on this branch that is under their umbrella. To have processes and employees set in place that allow for this to happen is entirely unacceptable. I would like to see evidence of the vehicle condition prior to our rental, ensure that due diligence was performed after the last renter returned the car, and have this branch’s processes & people examined so this does not happen to another paying, respectful customer. Please advise who I will need to speak to before I pursue alternate forms of action.

Had a reservation that was not honored on a Sunday where no other place was open. Tried to reschedule. Made a reservation on the phone and then was told my order could not be fufilled because of inventory. Online system did not work for over 20 minutes. Finally made a reservation on the app. Number provided for 24 not assistance never answered. Customer service line had me on hold for over 50 minutes in total. Could not get in the truck. After getting in, could not start. After figuring things out I already wasted an hour of my reservation. Unclear instructions, poor management. Almost overcharged.
