Once again the team at Phoenix Auto Sales and Uhaul rentals outdid themselves going above and beyond the call of dutyto get me the equipment needed to handle my moving needs. This is like the third time and as always they went out of their way to help me including providing me with man power to help me in my time of need. My hat is off to the team at Phoenix Auto. Their becoming more like family. Thanks Phoenix Auto and thank you Uhaul. I would highly recommend them to anyone.


The office was not clean and smelled of cigarette smoke. The owner was there was nice, but location was not easy to find and even map programs has issues. The truck we were given was terrible. It would barely go the speed limit which caused delays with out move. And gave us a truck on EMPTY!

I had a great experience with my rental. The team at Phoenix Auto Sales was incredibly helpful and made the whole process a breeze!!


Wonderful experience. The staff was very polite and well knowledgeable on the the different trailers and exactly how much it would hold. Installation of my hitch and trailer was a breeze. He showed me exactly how to hook it up and take it off he even went as far as telling me the speed limit and how to handle the turn in the means of turning or changing lanes “this was my first time every hauling anything with a truck and trailer.” I would recommend this Uhaul location to anyone in Vicksburg, Ms.

It would be nice if when I go there that I get the size equipment that I actually reserve or get some type of discount. I called and informed them of the mishap and they entered in the notes that the mileage was to be reduced to $.79/mile. This facility did not honor it or just ignored it and charged me the $.99/mile. Not once have I gone there and had a good experience.

We reserved a 26” truck on August 17, 2020, 4 days in advance of our request for August 21, 2020 at the Tri - State U-Haul on Washington Street in Vicksburg, MS. We received the email containing the information of the new location, Phoenix U-Haul on Hwy 80, Vicksburg, MS for our pick up on August 19, 2020. On Friday, August 21, 2020 we were coming from out of state, and I called to say we were running late for our 12noon pick up. We arrived at 12:30pm and we're told that whoever had the truck before us had not returned as of yet and it should be back between 2:30-4:30pm. This created a problem because we had people with us to assist with the move and another vehicle that was filled with our belongings that we needed to return on time or be charged an additional fee. At 4:00pm we finally had to unload all of our things and just leave them in the parking lot, of the Phoenix U-Haul and leave our nephew with them while the other vehicle was returned. At 5:00pm No Truck. The manager assured us that he is communicating with whoever has the truck and that they keep saying that they are unpacking the truck and on the way. At 5:30pm rain clouds are headed in and we inquire if the manager has a tarp or something we can place over our things. He stated he did not. There was a small truck that someone had just returned that he allowed us place our belongings inside of so the mattresses and televisions did not get wet. At 6:00pm the truck is returned and the manager tells us that is the truck we've been waiting for. I go inside to complete the paperwork while my husband and others start loading our things from the small truck. The manager starts telling me he can't find the reservation. Of course I am looking at him questionably because the lady that was working prior to closing found it when we arrived at 12:30pm it just fine. Finally after making a call he locates the reservation. He tells me he is giving me a discount for the inconvenience. (The price was exactly what we had anticipated but I am not arguing because we have a lot of work ahead of us and people assisting us on their day off.) As I head out I remember that I had reserved an appliance dolly. When I inquire about that the manager says he doesn't have one. There is someone else in the office now who wasn't there all the time we were waiting and he appears to be an acquaintance of the manager's . This man says he has a dolly we can use in town. The manager and I both let it be known that we are moving 4 hours away. I am disgusted at this point and just ready to leave. When I walk out there is an appliance dolly directly in front of the office with a file cabinet on it. I ask if we can have that one and the manager consents. As I am rolling the dolly to the truck where my husband and brother-in-law are they tell me there was a appliance dolly in the back of the truck all along. I take the dolly back and because I am trying to let the anger go I yell back to the manager that there was an appliance dolly already in the back of the truck. The two men look at each other and the manager ask his acquaintance if there had been a dolly in the truck. I am confused because how would the acquaintance know what was in the back of the truck when the only people that would have known what was in the the back of the truck was the person who brought it back, my husband and my brother-in-law. The manager backed the truck in so that we could unload our things from the small truck but didn't cross behind the back of it at all. So it appeared we waited 5 1/2 hours for the manager's acquaintance to get a truck back so that we could start our move. Please notice I stated it appeared that way. After getting to our storage unit to load the truck I started going though my emails and that's when I see that my reservation was canceled and then directly behind it was the email informing me where to return the truck. I called the 1-800- GO UHAUL number on Sunday, August 23, 2020 to inquire about the truck being checked in around 4:15pm because the drop-off place was very busy my husband was told to just leave the key in it and they would check it in and we would receive an email. We had not received the email and it was 7:00pm. The CSR gentleman on the line took my information , let me know that the truck had indeed been checked in and sent me an email confirming this. He inquired if there was anything else he could do for me and I informed he about the aforementioned situation from the start of this journey. He asked why I didn't reserve the truck until Friday the 21st of August and I informed him that I actually reserved the truck on August 17th, Order #27331262. That's when I remembered the cancellation email. We did leave the office to go get something to eat after the first attempt to get the truck at 12:30pm and we were back there by 2:30pm just incase the truck was returned when the manager had told us. And although we had to leave to return the other vehicle, our nephew was there with our belongings. There was nothing to indicate that we did not intend to rent the reserved truck. The CSR was very patient in allowing me get all of this off my chest and stated that we were eligible for a $50 refund due to that not being the U-Haul store originally requested. I have used U-Haul many times in the past, I have NEVER had an experience like this one before. Thank you for taking the time to read about my wet and trying weekend. MaryAlma Thomas

Darin at Phoenix Auto is 100% responsible for the positive review. He worked with me to acquire movers to load and unload the truck. Had he not been willing to go above and beyond the move would not have been possible. When the move was taking longer than anticipated, due to the other movers not showing up, Darin communicated with me in advance the extra charges I would incur. Although unfortunate, I understand the need to do this and greatly appreciated how Darin let me know. I have already recommended Darin and Phoenix to others and will continue to do so in the future.


Check the pressure of the tires and inform the customer what the pressure should be. The instruction of tire pressure on the tire is confusing. I do not know what the PSI should be. When I get the trailer back, one tire has 55PSI and another 45PSI. To be safe, I lowered the pressure of the 55PSI to 45PSI. I informed both the staff at the service counter and the staff who disconnected the trailer about the tire pressure issue when I returned the trailer. 55PSI and 45PSI, at least one tire had the wrong pressure.


Great location to rent from. Super friendly. Answered all my questions. Overall very helpful. Thank you for the last minute service.


Incredible experience. Phoenix went above and beyond what I expect from a Uhaul rental location and made sure that I had a truck that worked for me, i had all of my equipment, and my car was safe while i left it there.

Location did not have dolly or the blankets I had requested. Had a little trouble with my reservation, but I eventually got a truck on a very busy day.


I reserved a 26 foot truck, when I arrived at the location there were zero trucks on site and the guy running the place had no clue about the reservation and couldn't find it in the system. The o my vehicle available was a van that I ended up paying $150 to rent for the afternoon. 6 trips later I got my family moved, hell of a business move UHaul


Someone changed my reservation to Saturday and than I didn't get the truck I had reserved so instead of one trip I had to make two trips
