There was a problem in the system, the computer showed that we were scheduled for 4 hours and the truck was booked right after that, when in fact, 2 weeks earlier when we booked the truck we put 12hours and we got no message or email saying that it wasn't available. So on the day, the dealer faced with this problem decided to hold us responsible for this mistake and told us to return the truck after 4 hours anyway, and we had a whole day planned because we were moving to a new apartment. We of course argued and then he told us to call support, a guy answered and did the same, repeated that the computer says 4hours and we showed them the email of our confirmation saying 12hours!!! And they still wanted us to go pick another truck in another location far from where we were and we had no car! No one wanted to help, both of them were lazy in coming up with a solution and they tell the customer to figure it out, and I could think of many solutions which in the end the dealer took one of my suggestions and worked it out. But our day got delayed, we were feeling stressed all day and did some mistakes in Ikea that are super difficult to fix now that we don't have a uhaul!! I will always share that uHaul has horrible customer service, it wasn't acceptable.Thierry D.

Unreal treatment yelling threatened police after extending my reservation with uhaul as I had no other choice being on island during covid and needed to unload the truck in uhaul storage the next day still is why it was extended plus the ferry and personal matters I was charged way more than I should and credit card was debited from my card without notice finally getting it refunded now I'm banned apparently so I can't finish my move. Charged $200 in late fees but reservation clerk said this wasn't for me to worry about other people or families next rentals so he harrased me yelling at saying the police would be coming it's stolen if not returned as agreed this $200 on late fees was not on the reciept he submitted to head office as I found out he suited a hour later after I left it was $100 late fees but I was told only one $50 late fee for the additional extension we agreed over the phone withuhaul reservations so u owe me $150. The gentleman who is running the store (I, unfortunately, don't know his name) was nice enough but he was alone. The truck was empty but could have used a sweep out. We received the truck with 1/8 of a tank when it should have been 1/4. He then informed us that if we filled the tank up to 1/4 when we bring it back we would receive the fuel credit. We didn't go far enough that we needed to fill it up to 1/4. Also, it didn't make any sense to fill up the tank more than how we received it. So not only did we end up paying for gas but we didn't get the credit back so spent an additional $30. I wouldn't recommend U-haul unless you have a choice of vehicles. A lot of fine print that adds up.ANESHA B.
